  1. Given the fact that Ticketus (now dissolved btw) must have been in on this deal and if the reported 'safety net' was that he was gping to buy Rangers...then surely if Whyte is found out about this then from what i gather...this arrangement is null and void? Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
  2. I did think that the 24M may be used for the tax bill, and perhaps the hope for administration would be to reduce the running costs to a level so that when we get past the initial 4 years, we could rebuild. However i think that the key risk there is assuming that the tax liability wont be more than 24M and if it is more, then we will obtain a debt (assuming we get a credit line) and have to continue along with some debt levels. Tough... Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
  3. If i am being honest, i dont believe Ally is guaranteed safety with these impending cuts....nobody is! Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
  4. Pardon my ignorance here but could in theory, A CVA be reached with creditors prior to the bill from the big tax case and we can leave administration before being hit? Effectivley reducing our other debts and outgoings so we can come out more likely to be able to manage the massive debt? And perhaps this is when our phantom cashflow will reappear to knock a chunk of the figure out? Just a thought... Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
  5. I have read that Paul Murray will be on Radio Scotland to make public his desire to speak with the Administrators to try and ascertain what exactly it would take to buy Rangers...
  6. I have broacjed this on another forum of apathy and its a poor response. We need to stick together now more than ever. The RSA have been tweeting about this today. I read that they are the only legal entity that can arrange such. But not sure. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
  7. Was a foregone conclusion for months now. It has been being built towards this. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
  8. I share your sentiment about Foster chipping in as i thought he did relly well against Valencia! (apart from the very end with the gaping goal he fluffed!) If we can i would also like to see Hutton get more gametime as he looked rather good when he played in the 7-2 game!
  9. I particularly liked when Lennon had ben sent to the stand and then about 1 minute later the camera shows the Celtic dugout and Alan Thompson looks lost and keeps turning round and looking down the tunnel hoping Lennon will be coming back, totally out of his comfort zone, and Johan is arsing about looking at his watch! These 2 really dont have a clue do they? hahahahaha
  10. Did anyone manage to see late on in the game when Hooper sort of 'punched' i think it was whittaker in the face? It was near the edge of our box and he was trying to take it round us and got into bother and when the ball went away - there was what only can be described as a sort of 'hook'! Not sure thats legal but im sure that wont concern important as that was a decision that went FOR celtic that day! Sweep Sweep Not sure you will find it on the web.....its all 'penalty' images and greetin' celtic rubbish!
  11. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-11492047 This is what gets me the most. It is not reported as being bogited or anything - just touches on the fact it was done during the time of the papal visit! Its shocking how the focus of these posts have not been picked up on despite being clear as day what they were meant to state and whom they were to offend. For goodness sake - David Healy in an interview uses the word 'famine' in describing his goal drought (a better word really) is plastered all over the news and associated with bigotry and tic fans all over the place were going ballistic over this. Comparing that situation with this..this is much more derogatory and insulting and is overlooked completley! Shambles!
  12. I will be very interested to see if this gets blown up in the same way it would if it was Rangers Players. I read that apparently and Aberdeen FC spokesman came out and said something along the lines of 'The players have been dealt with and as far as we are concerned, thae matter is over. No Need to take further action.' Hate to say it - but really not his place to say that at all! They had better get laid into these characters big time!!
  13. As harsh as it sounds - i think that its very important to Rangers that we can avoid any incidents this season, regardless of who causes it. But it wont be the same (i hope) as Manchester 08, that was a one off and everyone and their dug went down for the ocassion!
  14. I would like either Real Madrid or Valencia from Pot 2. Or Roma could be an interesting one... Pot 1 i think will be an English team - we have avoided them for a few campaigns now. Obviously thats not how it works but i think we are due one. Pot 4 looks very mixed with teams co-eff's ranging from 6 through to 34! (provisionally of course) But still would like the worst of the pot - purely for the fact that despite the debacle last season (Unirea..) i still think we could get a result home and away. If we get 3rd spot then i would be a happy bear! And if its 3rd spot with an exciting finish to the group stages...even better!
  15. Did all 4 trialists not play against Partick Thistle at Murray Park and apparently Walter came out and said it was unlikley any would be given contracts? Not sure if this was just paper talk though..
  16. Have to say that i think bain has been a very good servant to Rangers. I think he has been unfairly criticised by sections of the support which is not right! The very fact he has came out and spoken fairly honestly IMO is to be commended as this very rarely happens at our club these days! When he speaks of the player provisions - i think that about £8-9M was paid last year for this after we announced a interim profit of £13M, which then brought the debt down to around £27M. However, in the second half of a season is where football clubs dont make as much money coz the season ticket money has been counted etc and so i think that the debt may be slightly more than that, currently. Will have to wait and see come the next financial results. When are these due out btw?
  17. Robert Koren is the next one on the Rumor Mill! Apparently we are fighting it out with, wait for it......Blackpool for his signature....... ....how times have changed!
  18. It seems that we have offered Harewood a 2 year deal - not sure iof this is true though! I presonally dont buy into this way of thinking - but i think we should perhaps get David Healy! He is a similar calibre of player, at club level, as Harewood but would love to play for us and imagine the merchandising money we could get for him! We would surely sell thousands of shirts with Healy on the back! In these tight financial times - Rangers need to be thinking along these lines and trying to make the most of these markets.
  19. Afternoon Bears Just wasnted to say site looks great! Cant wait to get posting and get in on the banter! Cheers!
