  1. I do apologise for failing to answer your question but I was supposed to be on holiday 8,000+ miles away, 11 hrs behind BST and tried to keep up as best I could without entirely ruining my wife's significant birthday trip. That said I do recall checking my amendments and thought I had replied but I may have had one too many pina coladas at the Lu'au and it must have slipped my mind. In any event, I am not sure I see the relevance of these questions. If you are suggesting a contradiction between the highlighted phrases then you are wrong. There is no contradiction. I did not submit notes of the meeting to Rev MacQuarrie. If you are suggesting that I should only submit amendments to parts of the Minutes that relate to "away fans" then that is ridiculous. So I realy don't see the point of the question; perhaps that's why I didn't answer. As stated I submited (4) amendments, all of which were agreed; none were related to "away fans". Just to reiterate. At the meeting I asked who was taking the Minutes. Rev MacQuarrie said he would take the Minutes. Later he said that one of the other members present at the meeting had provided him with notes and he had used these as the basis for the Minutes. Thereafter I submitted my amendments. The Minutes have been published. There is nothing further that I can usefully add.
  2. They were concerned about Whyte but allowed themselves to be fobbed off by his lawyers for approx 6 months; I doubt that will happen this time. However there is a big difference between "control" and a disqualified director.
  3. Lots of very small trades in a restricted market, the highest price was paid for a purchase of only 72 shares; wouldn't read too much into the price movement.
  4. Well that just goes to show that this isn't going to be easy! I would just like to make one thing clear. The suggestion that the Club should not meet unelected fans groups in future was a view that was strongly held on another forum and I see it was supported by at least one member on here. The Minute "Suggested that Rangers do not meet with other fans groups now that we have the RFB in place" is inaccurate inasmuch as the word "unelected" has been omitted and I missed that in the draft. I will seek to have it amended at the next meeting. My recollection is that it was met with a murmur of approval but as Billy says, the Minutes cannot reflect every single nuance and the formatting was not helpful to understanding who said what or who disagreed with any particular point.
  5. The Rev MacQuarrie, with assistance apparently from a Board member who took notes (not me, I hasten to add).
  6. It was raised on the Rangers Chat phone in. Just because a member raises an issue doesn't mean they agree or disagree with it.
  7. Good idea to invite the Manager to a future meeting. I was surprised that the CEO chose to leave after his opening remarks and said so at the time.
  8. Not at all. As an educated person you know that "denigrate" = cast aspersions on, decry, criticize unfairly. The Motion was in the context of a proposed Code of Conduct for Members, which has not so far been published. The Chair proposed the additional words which were agreed.
  9. Bienvenido amigo, de donde eres?
  10. I saw him go round the room at the pre meeting on 29 September, giving all who were present his business card; if you were not in the room at the time that might be why you or anyone else was missed out.
  11. Link now on new thread. Apparently posted on Rangers site at the weekend but not spotted as some, myself included, didn't scroll down below the picture.
  12. Sorry, can't trust these pigeons at all.
  13. I have asked that the invitation to attend the next meeting of the RFB be extended to all new directors of RIFC (and Mr Ashley) see above. The position of the Football Club Board vis avis the RFB will need to clarified.
  14. Absolutely not. The recently departed CEO gave everyone his business card and one can only assume he meant his email address to be used. However the meetings will be an opportunity to address questions directly to the Board or such members of the Board as are invited and chose to attend. At the present time it is difficult to coordinate a joint view; but once office bearers are elected I would anticipate that the Board will make public statements on matters of import. I'm not sure about email because addresses have been given to Rangers for specific purposes and there might be an issue with Data Protection. The RFB plans to set up a Communications Sub Committee to deal with social media.
  15. They appear to have improved a lot in recent weeks and will be third pretty soon. It looks like a close race at the top and would be vastly diminished if all three were somehow to be "guaranteed" promotion. I'll upgrade my "silly" to "really stupid".
  16. Coming from you I think that's quite rich; but I am as concerned by this as I was with the previous arrangement and you will recall, no doubt, that I raised that at an AGM.
  17. I am comforted by your approval.
  18. He's just being silly; he must know that there is no way to change the system once the season has started, sporting integrity and all that.
  19. I can assure all fans that I will be holding the directors to account in line with the objectives of the Fans Board. I can also assure all fans, as I did at the outset, that if the Board fail to engage in meaningful communication, I won't be part of it.
