  1. In summary I don't need it unless I plan to access Gersnet or other forums on my phone? Are there any drawbacks if I do use it?
  2. I liked the 4-2-3-1 a lot of teams were playing in the WC: Bell Foster/McGregor; Zaliukas; Mohsni; Wallace; Black; McCulloch (Hutton); Aird (Templeton); Law; McLeod; Miller using Ally's choice of player rather than my own.
  3. Too late, got half a dozen nominations already
  4. Again, not sure if there is a better place to post this thread. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4. I was going to download the Rangers App but got a warning that it is a large file, so stopped. I already get the updates e.g. US Tour stuff via Google+ and by email linked to Google+ and some of the other stories direct form the Club. I don't feel the need to have holograms which I guess are taking up a lot of space. I get matchday stuff like team news on the Sky Sports App where I have Rangers set up. Am I missing anything by not having the app?
  5. Not sure if there is a better place to post this question. I almost always use my laptop at home for Gersnet and sometimes my office pc, rarely my phone. However I have used my Samsung Galaxy S4 very occasionally on the bus but don't find it easy to read or respond that way. When I use the phone I get messages about downloading Tapatalk and have heard it mentioned a few times on the site. What is it exactly and in what way would it enhance my Gersnet phone experience?
  6. A wee reminder that this poll is still live till the end of the month, so far only 7 people have voted. No more jokes about it thanks T4C.
  7. Fair point, remember a certain Juan Román Riquelme!
  8. I put McGregor in at RB more than hope than expectation based on last night but I'm sure you are right that if fit foster will be the starting RB and McGregor will be cover for the same positions as Faure which seems silly to me. I am sure that we would not have signed him if we had known Zaliukas was on the way. So I agree your team! Also regret to say that I agree we may well go 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 on occasions with any one of Templeton, Shiels, Clark, McKay (hopefully) in the No. 10 role or McLeod as you suggest.
  9. He was poor last night. Miller was all over the place and genuinely upset by various adverse decisions by a refereee who was out of his depth; but Boyd appeared disinterested/unfit or whatever,
  10. Aird showed lots of promise last season. He is fast but doesn't have great ability to beat a man with skill, like McLeod. On the left he is a threat to cut in and score with his right; on the right he can make goals IF he hits the bye line and doesn't cut inside too much. Would benefit from a good coach. If McCulloch is a starter at CB and I'm fairly sure you are right about that, then it will be him and Zaliukas and we can get a few bob for Mohsni. However, it's conceivable Ally would go for Mohsni and Zaliukas; which would beg the question wherefore art thow McCulloch
  11. Almost certain that this will be the staring line up: Bell McGregor; Zaliukas; McCulloch/Mohsni; Wallace Aird/Gallagher; Law; Black, McLeod; Miller & Boyd The BH XI: Bell; McGregor; Faure; Zaliukas; Wallace; Aird; McLeod; Black; Templeton; Miller & Gallagher
  12. It's a great shame for the lad nonetheless; it is no exaggeration that in his last (half) game for us he truly looked like Baxter incarnated.
  13. As we seem to have abandoned 3 at the back, thank goodness; I think Mohsni and Zaliukas will be the starters at CB unless someone offers 7 figures or near that for our newest International star.
  14. Yes but I think the suggestion that you give all three a year's notice is correct. Without seeing it it's hard to know but I would think it would say something like on termination of the first year the contract will be extended on a daily basis for 12 month periods or may be terminated on giving 12 months notice It would be hard to envisage a contract that wasn't for a fixed period that didn't have a notice clause. Even if it didn't I think there is a good chance it would be held to be an implied term. I don't see how AllyCo could argue against getting 12 months notice now; because getting promotion to the SPL is vital and next summer would be the right time to reassess either way. I think most fans would see that as the Board growing some balls.
  15. I may be mistaken but I think the way I read it at the time was that everyone including ST holders would have to pay to join the membership scheme, it was just that ST holders were being auto enrolled. Whilst I would tend to agree that you shouldn't have to pay to be in this democracy, on the other hand there do need to be some kind of restrictions to avoid abuse. Perhaps evidence of simply buying a ticket or a certain number of tickets in the previous season might be a qualification apart from being a ST holder. Shareholders also need to be accommodated or in a shareholders group, as has been suggested in the past.
  16. Drop him, he's too good for us.
  17. I remember his first moment on the ball in our half, faced with an advanced full back, he shimmied one way then the other and left him for dead. In the top 3 most talented players ever to wear the colours IMHO.
  18. Well I don't see us being invited to play in any major tournaments despite the fact that our fans would travel in large numbers especially if in the UK.
  19. Yes, it puts pressure on them to find money from new share issues etc but not to grant security over assets to whoever or whatever or to quit themselves, which I believe are the twin obectives, are they not GS?
  20. It's the same idea that's already been rejected in the form Ibrox 1972 Ltd. If you think that Messrs Houston & Brown and 2,000 - 3,000 followers are going to put pressure on the Board, then I'm afraid your going to have a long wait. "The ball is back with the board, we've made our feelings clear. I'd be very surprised if no discussions were held behind the scenes as a result of this march." "We'll give the board a few days to contact us, then we'll have a re-focus to see where we are." Never a truer word and all that. If I was him I wouldn't be holding my breath.
  21. You still haven't said how they would do that, asiding from leasing you a bit of the turf that is?
  22. Of course I knew that GS, take that one for free.
  23. NO, I don't see how selling our major assets would promote the success of the company, rather the opposite I would think especially when you look at the criteria: A director of a company must act in the way he considers, in good faith, would be most likely to promote the success of the company for the benefit of its members as a whole, and in doing so have regard (amongst other matters) to— (a)the likely consequences of any decision in the long term, (b)the interests of the company's employees, ©the need to foster the company's business relationships with suppliers, customers and others, (d)the impact of the company's operations on the community and the environment, (e)the desirability of the company maintaining a reputation for high standards of business conduct, and (f)the need to act fairly as between members of the company. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/46/section/172
  24. What plan is that exactly? The one that Mr King is still working on, no doubt? Just the turf or any of the infrastruture as well, how about a share of a player or two or the management team? In what way would they change the terms of a season ticket to meet your criteria?
  25. No they are not; not even GS would say that, well I don't think he would.
