  1. Like any petition I suspect that BM thought it would be delivered in one or more gigantic boxes not in 10,000 individually gift wrapped boxes tied to the legs of a carrier pigeons whether they fly through the air or cyberspace. I don't think even you believe what you are saying now. As Zappa said your point of view is indeed creative but is also entirely illogical.
  2. Whilst various posters have rightly pointed out that Mr Easdale could have avoided or mitigated the worst of the onslaught once he knew about it; it seems to me that Mr Houston set out to cause Mr Easdale maximum inconvenience at the same time as promoting the petition.
  3. Because it was an easy target much easier to liquidate than over-valued property.
  4. You and I don't often agree 100% Zappa but you'll no doubt be comforted to know that I agree with you 100% here.
  5. That's nonsense. BD signed the petition, the organisers of the petition sent or caused the email to be sent to Mr Easdale; even if BD new the email was to be sent, which he didn't, he still didn't send it. That's like saying I send you an email which you FWD to someone else; so I sent it to the someone else; I don't think so.
  6. There goes that transfer to the directors box.
  7. Not really that bad at all because around a quarter don't renew each season and are replaced by new ST Holders. If it's 14,000 now then I'd expect it to be well over 20,000 by the start of the season, given all the negativity I'd say that anything over 18,000 i.e. half of last season would be good and one would hope that a significant number of those who have said they will go game to game will do just that.
  8. If it isn't that important to you then it is hard to understand why you keep making the same point ad nauseam and why you feel the need to add comments like ""it doesn't quite sit right with me that you didn't smell a rat with Green." I admit that I didn't at the outset, guilty m'lud; and as you have previously acknowledged I was in the majority. That said I will accept the compliments and be thankful that I am not applying to you for employment. Might one ask your occupation or profession?
  9. If that's the case then I think it's a really stupid thing to do; a petition is one thing, deliberately spamming email is just harassment and takes away from the petition.
  10. They were lucky they got any deal at all; the TV companies were only interested in 4 matches a season (with another 4 of passing interest) and did the prior deals for that purpose. Anything other than Rangers v Celtic was a total irrelevance for them. Losing Hearts v Hibs (if that turns out to be the case) may well trigger another penalty.
  11. Thanks, I stopped using Norton some time ago but currently use the Adaware free service and recently installed the Microsoft Security Essentials. I do know you're not supposed to have two systems operating at once but took a chance that these two wouldn't interfere with each other. Also I have 7 gmail accounts and a hotmail account on the same laptop and only one gmail account was affected (or infected?). Any IT geeks that have helpful suggestions would be appreciated.
  12. I respect the right of any fan to protest peacefully but meeting at a bar up to 2 hours beforehand seems to me to be taking an unneccessary risk. Perhaps meeting in Bellahouston Park might be a better idea as well as providing more space to gather and organise.
  13. I don't understand how Mr Easdale would have received 1,200 emails as a result of the petition unless it was set up in some way to auto generate an email to him. However, I can say that one of my email accounts was spammed at about 1.00am this morning and all my contacts got an email with a suggestion to open a supposed message from me which no doubt contains a virus and I also received a similar email from a relative.
  14. Remember them well; more or less the team that beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 11-0 on aggregate in the Cup Winners Cup Quarter Final and the exact team that lost the second leg of the Final 2-1 (agg 4-1) to Fiorentina.
  15. You've missed your vocation; you should be a judge, perhaps you are?
  16. It is indeed unfortunate that such highly qualified and talented individuals such as your goodself and forlanssister did not put yourselves forward for election to these positions if indeed you were eligible by virtue of membership of the RST at the time. Had either of you been elected I am in no doubt that the fans would now own the Club, lock, stock, Ibrox, Edmiston House, the Albion Car Park and Murray Park too. Most likely you two would be on the Board, 40,000 would have signed up for ST's and we could look forward to a summer of new arrivals to the Ibrox playing staff. In addition we would have 16 team leagues, consistent policing and stewarding, absolute liability for crowd misbehaviour and with it an end to the ubiquitous "reasonably practible" defence to such charges. I am sorry that I have been such a disappointment to you and others on here but I am proud of my record as Secretary of the RST and (twice elected BTW) Chair of SD Scotland and I certainly don't intend to debate it further with you on here.
  17. It would be interesting to learn the basis of these beliefs.
  18. Here I am right on queue "Greenwhitestar Finance Limited, a private limited company incorporated and regulated in the Isle of Man, a special purpose financing company via which finance is to be provided to Eddie Stobart Logistics by its shareholders." Not sure what it has to do with Murray Park. http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=11884535
