  1. They won't pay to get Lambert and I doubt he's come anyway whilst he is still employed in the EPL. Moyes looks the No. 1 choice but I doubt Celtic fans would look forward to that.
  2. Approx 1.5% of last season's average attendance and less than 10% of those who are signed up to SoS apparently, I'd say it's a pretty poor turnout. I honestly thought there would be several thousand.
  3. I had it on very good authority at the time (and believe I may have posted it) that Lampard WAS a realsitic target in 2011/2012 (if we'd had any money of course to pay his wages).
  4. No argument here mate, except Cousin would have needed to stay on for 90 mins.
  5. An incredible effort. Feel very sorry for the students who were setting up for the final display/exam; goodness knows how they'll be assessed.
  6. Mouthwatering. Lampard in front of Hemdani and a couple of young runners wide, wow. If we'd had a player like that in 2008 we would have won the UEFA Cup, although Steve Davis and Barry Ferguson were outstanding we were just a little short.
  7. It's a terrible blow to the city, the teachers and students from a whole host of perspectives. It's such big news that the story was ahead of the Pope's visit to Jordan on BBC today and quite rightly so of course. Actually a Rangers v Celtic match or perhaps a Glasgow Cup to raise money would be a great idea especially if the idea came from us when we are struggling for cash ourselves. Selfless gesture etc. Took these about 9.00pm last night. Sorry don't know why they're blown up so much.
  8. He would have come to us if we had still be in the SPL two years ago.
  9. Moyes wouldn't be a cheap option but perhaps with his £5m pay off he'll work for nothing for a few years. Also worth noting that his brother, Kenny Moyes, has a business in Glasgow organising pre-season tours (mostly in Austria I believe) but also acts as a player's agent e.g. Charlie Adams and he is the man who took Jelavic down to Everton in that last minute car dash before the window closed on 31 January 2012. Kenny is his brother's agent so it doesn't take a great leap of imagination to see him touting David to Celtic.
  10. Claudio Reyna is the GM of the new NewYork City franchise in the MLS who start next season. They have a coach Jason Clarence Kreis but clearly no smoke without a New York Fire.
  11. Reading the Celtic fans' views on Lennon; is that considered some kind of crime?
  12. We've gone round this particular circle before; I'm sorry but I don't have time right now to do another lap.
  13. I commend the organisers of this meeting although I agree with Frankie that it is not representative of the Rangers support as a whole and it really should be the Club that organises such things. I am blissfully ignorant of the background of some of the factions and their past alleged misdemeanours but judging by some of the comments here it's not so much an agenda that is needed (although that is obviously required) as an armour plated Chair person.
  14. Possibly not but I wouldn't rule it out. Might depend a lot on who if anyone gets signed. I reckon Boyd would be a big draw, much more so than Miller.
  15. He certainly should do that T4C, as should the entire Board and Mr Wallace. I have said repeatedly that they need to hire a marketing manager pronto.
  16. No I'm not telling you that, I was continuing your earlier analogy in a vain attempt to inject a modicum of humour into the debate. I am not entirely computer illiterate and yes I do realise that digital signatures would not be printed off "put into boxes and transported to the offices of the recipient". I and others including BD & BM no doubt thank you for repeating your point so often but it does seem that at least some of those more computer literate than me did not understand the outcome of their actions. Whether they were deliberately misled or not is another matter.
  17. Most of those along Kerrydale St don't seem too upset but some revealing comments such as: I was told in confidence, by a source very close to Neil's agent that he had drafted a resignation letter in the wake of the league trophy presentation. He feels severely let down by Peter Lawell in terms of bringing players HE wants in rather than being presented with cheaper options identified by the scouting team. Also the failure to retain players he wanted to keep and who wanted to stay, has finally scunneredim. Ledley found himself on a plane to London despite being eager to stay. Hooper wanted to stay. Samaras similarly. I am gutted that it has come to this now, by all accounts it came damn close last year. Seems money isn't just an issue at Ibrox. Larsson appears to be the clear favourite with the bookies, Moyes and Coyle well up the standings; some fans yearning for the return of Di Canio. Might have come a bit too soon for McNamara.
  18. I said it would good given all the negativity if a large proportion of those who don't renew go game to game and new ST holders take up some of the slack.
  19. I like your last analogy because in a station there tend to be big brightly lit boards telling passengers which trains leave from which platforms and where they are going and there are even announcements sometimes when there are alterations. So it must be quite difficult to get on the wrong train though I daresay it happens. I'll even give you another analogy. There used to be a very nice Flight Attendant who often flew on Continental 17 from Glasgow to Newark who was wont to announce several times before the doors were closed: This is Continental 17 with service to Newark; if Newark is not in your travel plans today please see a Flight Attendant or deplane now. Once the doors were closed he made a further announcement. This is Continental 17 with service to Newark; if Newark isn't your intended destination today,it is now.
