  1. Very encouraging that Warburton wants the under-20s to play exactly the same way as the first team.
  2. If one player crosses that line they will feel the wrath of the supporters as well. It won't be like Ferguson v Le Guen 2.
  3. I understood Ally taking his salary while Ashley's cohorts were in charge but I thought this would have been sorted as soon as the new board came in. The fact that is hasn't is a damning indictment on both the board and McCoist himself. Wee Willie is only saying what a large percentage of Rangers fans are thinking, myself included.
  4. The days of the Murray Park holiday camp are over. No trips to Nandos at 12 for the lads now.
  5. Also noticed Warburton's son is on the list.
  6. Bit of a long shot but I remembered reading the Man Utd under-21 captain was released. No absolutely nothing about him but just wondering if that might be the kind of market Warburton and Weir will be operating in.
  7. Excellent. If I was any of those youngsters I'd be thinking of getting back into training this week ahead of pre-season training officially starting. Least they know they will definitely getting the chance under Warbs and Weir.
  8. Gasparotto is another one who could be part of the squad. Is the young right back Sinnamon still with us?
  9. Hope the young players at the club realise just how big an opportunity this is for them. The likes of Murdoch, Hardie and Walsh must grab this opportunity with both hands. Really excited to see how these players develop under Warburton and Weir.
  10. You just wonder what calibre of manager we will have with us still being in the Championship.
  11. It would appear that these nutters are now gravitating to the SNP rather than Labour.
  12. All of the matches will be screened live on BT Sport, with the final shoot-out taking place on Sunday, May 31. The play-offs will begin on Saturday, May 9 at 5.30pm as the side that finishes third in the Championship - either Rangers or Hibernian - face Queens. The return leg will then be played eight days later on Sunday, May 17 with a 3.30pm kick-off. The winner of that tie will then face the sides that finishes second over two legs on Wednesday, May 20 and Saturday, May 23, with the ties kicking-off at 7.45pm and 12noon respectively. And that will then set the stage for the final shot at glory as the last Championship team standing faces the side that ends up second bottom of the Premiership this term. The first leg of the final will be played on Thursday, May 28 at 7.45pm before the last 90 minutes of the domestic campaign gets under way three days later. THE SPFL today confirmed the schedule for the six Premiership play-off clashes as Rangers, Hibernian and Queen of the South bid for a place in Scotland's top flight. All of the matches will be screened live on BT Sport, with the final shoot-out taking place on Sunday, May 31. With the race to finish best of the rest in the second tier set to go down to the wire on Saturday and the Premiership battle still to be decided, the season is set for a thrilling finale. Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: "We're delighted this exclusive deal with BT Sport allows us to move our live TV coverage on to another level. Last season the final was broadcast live, but for this season we will see all six Scottish Premiership play-off matches live on BT Sport. "The Scottish Premiership play-offs have breathed new life into Scottish football and we await another six massive games this May with both BT Sport and BBC Scotland." Simon Green, Sports Channels Director at BT Sport, said: "BT Sport is proud to enhance its partnership with Scottish football. Audiences for our SPFL televised coverage are growing and our exclusive televised coverage of the play-offs builds on our offering to Scottish football fans."
  13. Sutton forgets that if it wasn't for a magnificent save from Der Goalie, Dunfermline would have scored two on that day. The guy's an absolute bell-end.
  14. I'd have two leagues of 16 or 18 and then regionalise the rest of the leagues. It makes no sense for teams like Berwick and Annan playing the likes of Peterhead and Elgin.
  15. He's only started playing in the last couple of games. I'd still get rid of him and pretty much everyone else in the squad right now.
  16. It's great that fans will be on the board but what can Graham and Bennett actually bring to the board? How can they make it better? I'm not knocking them but I want to know how they can improve it.
  17. I would like to see someone with a pedigree of playing attractive football, has a track record of bringing through young players and preferably have knowledge over the Championships/lower leagues in England as I think that will be the market we will be operating in. My choice would be either Nigel Adkins or Mark Warburton. If I had to pick one I'd go with Warburton as Davie Weir is currently his assistant.
  18. Haven't felt this happy since we beat Killie to win the league back in 2011.
  19. Cheers for that info. As I said I really don't have a clue. I really hope King and his team come out and actually tell us exactly what these contracts are.
  20. As someone who has no business experience at all could King & Co not just set up a new company to handle our retail operation rather than RRL and SD?
  21. Wonder what the percentages were.
  22. This has got to be the best thread ever created on Gersnet. Fantastic to look back at some of these old pics. Great memories.
  23. My only regrets in this area is that there are two separate schemes for supporters and that Rangers First didn't really get off the ground until the turn of this year. Would love to turn the clock back to two or three years ago and we could have been in an incredibly strong position.
  24. Instead of moaning about it the chiefs at the SPFL should be going on and actively looking for a sponsor instead of waiting for one to fall into their lap. The brought guys like Barry Hearn yto speak to them on what can be done to market the game better and we've barely heard anything out of them since.
