David Vaughan tempted by Rangers move as club make approach

Seems to be dragging on. Would love to see Vaughan at Ibrox but can't see it unfortunately -
McGregor was definitely the most consistent and I can't for the life of me believe he wasn't even considered for the Rangers Player of the Year never mind the Scottish Player of the Year awards.

What playing positions would you like to see supplemented?

We need two players challenging for each position so we definitely need another 5 players at least to supplement the squad. If Weir signs on then we will still need another two CBs if Bougherra goes. Heard rumours about the St Mirren centre half Darren McGregor coming in as cover. Need another LB as well to push Papac. Would like to see another RB come in but with Broadfoot, Whittaker and Darren Cole there that can wait until the following season. In midfield we could do with another RM to cover for Naisy and another LM to push Gregg Wylde. We are top heavy on CM with Davis, McCulloch, Hutton, Ness and Edu all competing for two positions although I'd like to see Edu being moved on. Up front we could do with another striker as well to compete with Jelavic, Lafferty, Naismith and John Fleck although I'm hoping that Kane Hemmings will be pushing for first team starts this season. From all of that i would say defence is certainly a priority closely followed by wide players. -
He would be worth well �£1.5m but I can't see Arsenal letting him go for that price.

Was pretty gutting for the ones who didn't make it but they didn't see to be holding any grudges and hopefully most of them can continue to have a career in football whether it be at a senior of junior level.

Don't understand the venom against Miller for going. He's not a Rangers fan and if someone was offering to more than treble you wages in your line of work you would take it.

Only reason I voted for the SNP in the last election was purely and simply so that this yahoo was not my MSP. A complete and utter scumball of a man! Didn't help that the Labour backed South Lanarkshire Council, filled with jungle Jims wanted to built a massive toxic waste incinerator in the Rangers heartlands of Larkhall and Stonehouse.

I think that it is important to open up to different markets. Making money in Scotland is hard enough - to do it without Champions League is almost impossible but that is the challenge for Craig Whyte and the new Rangers Board when they come in. I have said this for years in terms of commercial activities Celtic are far better at doing that than ourselves. They play up to the Irish plastic paddies all over the world. What we have to do it is get more people in America, Canada and Australia into supporting the Rangers. Although many in Scotland wouldn't believe it Rangers have a terrific brand - We are very special, unique club and we should be exporting that across the world.

Both investigations have nothing to do with the club. A statement like this only fans the flames.

Was down with my mates on a Stag Do in London and watched the game in the pub on Saturday. we weren't expecting much but the place was absolutely bouncin with good Bears, atmosphere was different class and to top it all the result was great. There was more singing than there usually is at Ibrox on a matchday. Spent a good few hours in the place and it made a right good afternoon. I think we as a support take ourselves for granted sometimes but no matter where you go in the world you always meet good Bears everywhere you go.

Think the word legend gets banded about far too often anyway. Only players in this squad that could come close to legendary status are Davie Weir, Alan McGregor and possibly Steve Davis if he stays at the club for another couple of years. As much as I loved guys like big Prso I wouldn't put him as a legend as we only really got one good season out of him.

Laudrup's the greatest I've ever seen in my time watching the Rangers. Whether he was a success at other clubs is irrelevant to me. His contribution to our club is what matters. Anyway getting back to the OP lets just hope all this takeover talk is finally finished. I'm not totally convinced about Whyte but the other bid does not fill me with any confidence. With the debt being paid off it will be the chance of a new start for Rangers.

Of course we can. It's in their hands but we just have to keep getting three points and putting them under pressure. They have not won anything and the pressure may get to them. Keep believing!!

Anyone club/support using the word H** when referring to Rangers should be highlighted. I was all for the dignified silence approach until this season. The gloves have to come off from the club. It really is time to fight fire with fire. Our clubs is being attacked from all sides and we have to take a stand.

They never take defeat well anyway. Whenever we win there is always something be it the referee, the linesmen, the state of the pitch, The Establishment or their latest the big, bad Rangers fans and their sectarian singing. They like to feel like they are the victims. It's in their DNA.

Not sure about this new Murray bid but I agree with him on one point. No-one man should control upwards of 90% of a football club. Rangers should be moving to a model similar to that of a club in the Bundesliga.

Don't think it will drop as much as that but season ticket sales will be down. How can you expect fans who struggle to afford it now fork out more money without knowing what is happening at the very top level at the club.

Wouldn't read too much into it. It's a sad reality these days that our best players will be moved on if the money is right. As long as we get a couple of good seasons out of him and sell him for a profit I would be happy.
