Nobody is on a bandwagon to get someone out of the team but we are all still allowed an option on this different matter and some agree BF should be benched for a game or - for his own good if anything. For me and Pete this has been an issue for years that Ferguson gets picked no matter what.

....do something historic this season?? Firstly, credit has to go to Walter Smith, Ally McCoist and the baldy one (KM) for what they have done to Rangers in the last 14 months. They have turned arguably the worst Rangers team in 20 years round into the frontmen in Scotland again and pushed us into the last 8 of europe. Yes it has not been pretty in certain games but recently the moaning has stopped about performances due to the progression the team in making in the competitons we are in. Thats what it is all about from March onwards - winning football matches. We are coming into the business end of the season with finishing lines in sight and still in a wonderful position. Our Green friends from the other side of Glasgow along with a few of the so called "balanced 4th estate" must really be beginning to panic with what we could achieve this season. However there is still a lot of football to be played and as good as getting to the last 8 of the UEFA cup feels we have to come back down to earth as we have not won anything yet. We still have 3 old firm derbies to play which will no doubt decide if the league flag comes back to home to Ibrox. We are in pole position for these games with the next meeting to be played at Ibrox. We also currently have advantage of 3 point lead with 1 game in hand, thus depending on the farcical situation of Gretna. All attentions can be turned to the league cup final on Sunday where we need the lads to produce yet another solid defensive display and do enough in Dundee Utd's half to take the first trophy home. The Scottish cup will come around again and with all due respect to Partick Thistle we should be looking forward to facing either St Johnstone or St Mirren for another date at Hampden. That leaves the UEFA cup. We fear no team in the here. Bayern are the favourties but we'll see what the draw brings us. One game at a time is what is required at the moment and who knows what we will be celebrating in 2 months time. :cheers:

Sign Davis It feels good to be flying the British flag in the compeition even though its not the CL. But this can only be good for us and prepare us better for the CL next season. I bet Cousin is feeling glad his move to Fulham fell through aswell now. WS has done a superb job.

Leverkusen for me, they arent as good as Bremen. Or id take PSV, but id take anyone at this stage, id only be slightly worried about Munich although id like to get revenge on them from 99/00 when they Khan put us out of the CL by hacking Mols. But the rest are beatable. All of them will get a fear at Ibrox

This is an absolute joke that the fixtures played is reduced and we then have 2 games in hand. We are already 3 clear yet we are brough back to level with Celtic and have to go out and go the hard work of going clear again. Total farce. There is no way the game should be scrubbed out, the remaining games should be a walkover.

There surely has to be an all english clash in there. Agreed Barca are the only ones who can stop the english sides but Roma might give them a game aswell.

The list is quite strong for a so called mickey mouse cup. Fair play to Getafe and St Petersburg for over coming the odds (on paper) and going through. To see 2 or 3 English clubs going out in the last round shows it still a decent cup. Im not sure if the 3rd place team in the CL dropped into the UEFA when DA was in charge of us. But didnt he have a decent run in his first season? Im sure we beat Parma and Bayer Leverkusen home and away that season.

Watched the Everton pens this morning and if a player cant hit the target from 12 yards due to a casual fancy run up then he deserves to miss. Pen takers for me would be: Novo, Davis, Dailly, Hemdani, Adam

What is the credit card scheme? Do you have to be a ST to have it? Its would be ludicrous to cancel points already picked up. All remaining results should be null or given a walkover but only if it evens out for all 11 clubs as some teams may have to play them twice more rather than once. For instance what happens if all remaining results are null yet St Mirren could have picked up 3 points on tuesday if the pitch was suitable. Absolute farce and the SPL management should be sacked.

This was a huge result for us. They could have picked up 3 points here and they also play in the league before us again which would have put them top albeit with us having games in hand, however there is the psychological side of things when playing catch up. This could also knock some stuffing out of them and heeps pressure on Strachan. It would be lovely if Aberdeen knock them out of the Scottish cup aswell now.

Reading Fraser and Scooters posts makes the distribution of final tickets a bit unfair IMO and its another reason why Hampden should be increased to 70,000. That was a sore one for Marseille and Hamburg to go out on away goals. Personally i think its one of the worst rules in football. There are many factors why a team could out score the other team from weather conditions to injuries. And to carry it onto extra time in the 2nd leg is shocking - thats gives the away team an extra 30 mins to score than the home side did in the first leg. I actually thought the away goal rule cancelled if it went to extra time but i watched the Everton v Fiorentina game this morning and the commentator was still saying if Fiorentina score in extra time Everton must score twice.

Chelsea are right back in the title hunt (if they were ever out of it). They are 4 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.
