  1. I didn`t. But since we have seen quite a few this campaign, I drew my comparisons.
  2. A night later, I am still rather unimpressed by Slavia. Enough antics to make a Spanish team proud and and for a team running away with the Czech league, less potent in attack then Willem II or Antwerp. Just my humble opinion. Once we started to play our game, we looked comfortable enough - given the low key perfomance levels of quite a few of our players. Still not that impressed by our substitutions, Arfield was okay, yet Wright should have been on to keep them occupied in their half, why Aribo was hooked for Roofe I don`t know, as he just got into his normal stride while Kent was "too sussed out" by Slavia. Let`s hope everyone is back to full duty come next Thursday.
  3. I have no idea about football, but for the love of the game I cannot understand some of our substitutions. This was a perfect game for Wright to show his pace and trickery (where Kent "failed"), but we went ever more defensively and had to rely on McGregor for getting the draw. 2nd half much better, if you press them better and attack with purpose, they will shed goals. Despite some neat football, hardly the best side we faced this season.
  4. Wonder how those fans got in the stadium, given that the Czechs are hardly a frontrunner in Covid-19 stats.
  5. "Feared" that quite a few might not have their heads fully in the here and now today, and so it seems. Slavia looks dangerous, but IMHO by far not the best side we have come up against this season. That goal was a peach, wonder how many more of that quality he scores regularly. That said, Patterson badly left alone on that flank. We didn`t press them hard enough during the first 30 mins, once we do, their back is bound for errors. Morelos just slit past the ball when they messed up that clearance. Our transition is not up to speed just yet, Hagi looks the livliest, and got his reward with the assist. Hope a wee kick up the back at HT will give us a better 2nd half.
  6. That being said, methinks the narrative from their whole lot has been toxic throughout .. and I doubt solely because of Scrote and being partizan with him. Trail by Sportscene and all that.
  7. TO mark International Women’s Day 2021, Rangers Football Club have launched the ‘Ready To Own It’ campaign to help inspire the next generation of women footballers.
  8. THE JOURNEY CONTINUES .. touching words from the club.
  9. 77 in 6.30 ... and hopefully more to follow.
  10. IMHO, a clear attempt of deflecting from their own shortcomings and faults. What happens outside Ibrox and Auchenhowie happens outside of Rangers` direct influence. Whatever we had said wouldn`t have stopped what happend on Sunday. But rest assured, had the police cordoned off St. Georges Square or other public places in advance of the Scum game ... and the Scum had won, the SNP and their lackeys would have slammed the police for overreacting, probably even laughing at them. That said, the comments of the Chief Constable seem somewhat over the top ... anyone knows his football allegiances?
  11. From afar ... Rangers fans defy lockdown to celebrate 1st title in decade from mail.com
  12. While we didn`t have that great a run in the domestic cups, since Stevie joined up we have played 43 games in Europe, winning 24, drawing 14 and losing but 5 (2 vs Bayer, one against Young Boys and Rapid plus one away against Spartak, though that was unlucky IIRC). Some feat by any means.
  13. Red Star Belgrade, Sporting Lisbon, Slavia Prague and we ... are the only teams so far unbeaten in their league fixtures this season. Czech teams can be rather difficult when they are up for it. That said, if we are up to it, we can be a handful or two for anyone.
  14. Watching the game and seeing Alex Rae inbetween the two ladies at RTV, I wondered where Neil McCann is these days. It totally passed me by that he has indeed taken up the interim-manager`s role at Inverness Caley Thistle in late February. All the best for that Neil, hope to see you at RTV every now and then still!
  15. Had that thought too, and find some solace in the song below ... Have you seen the Glasgow Rangers Have you seen the Glasgow Rangers, Have you seen the boys in blue? They're admired by all who know them, If you knew them so would you. Oh they have played way in Monaco, They have played in the USA, But the greatest game in history, Is the game on New Year’s day. For it's the home of famous heroes, And their praises have been sung, Willie Waddell, Torry Gillick, Alan Morton, and George Young. And when all my life has ended, And when death has made it's mark, Will you scatter all my ashes, On the slopes of Ibrox Park. And with the angels I'll be singing, Up in heaven there up above, I'll be singing Follow Follow. To the Rangers that I love. And with my flute I will be playing, In the valleys and the glens, I'll be happy and contented, When the Rangers win again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Ce714tvWU
  16. ... I would say the same about Goldson`s balls from back to front. Likewise, Alfredo doing the link-up job, dragging defenders out of position and laying on what, 12 assists thus far. You almost don`t know where to start here. Some improvements possible and probably even required, but what can you say if the results getting our way due to hard work and everyone being relentless and keeping as high a standard as possible.
  17. No longer with the club, but a True Blue Bearette nonetheless, former captainess Lisa Swanson celebrating the title

  20. BBC Scotland tearing into our fans for that illegal gathering and Leitch et al paints horror scenarios re UEFA et al ... oh the pain.
  21. Good to see a few mins with Stewart ... and he promptly is involved with laying two passes onto the feet of Defoe. Hope he gets a few mins from now till the end of the season too.

  23. Well, everyone is wearing his mask and holds a save distance. ? ?
  24. Indeed. Aribo at times looks similar, but does it in a more "physical" way, not least when his techincal skill-attempts "fail him". With Kamara, Aribo, Roofe, Hagi and Wright too, we do have some tricky and gifted folk up there.
