  1. To speak with forlanssister's words: Not from "Black Jack's/Media Houses organ of preference" comes this: As I said above, he cannot agree to illegal stuff, e.g. payment of football debts. Which has been explained at lengths.
  2. Good morning. What the Sun or any other paper believes is interesting. To me it is as interesting as what forlanssister* believes. At the end of the day, what matters is what will be done. As has been said, half of what the SFA or SPL want to impose and is written in the Sun is beyond their jurisdiction or has already been thrown out by a judge. People seem to assume that we can voluntarily accpet somesuch, but IMHO (which doe s not mean much, I agree), the pendulum swings in both directions. If a thief is being sentenced to has a hand chopped off and a higher authority says that this is not possible any longer, the thief can not voluntarily agree that chopping his hand off would be fine. Anyway, we will see what happens early enough. *Black Jack?
  3. What would happen if say 6 SPL clubs abstain from the vote?
  4. By that logic, they cannot sanction the club though.
  5. Th transfer embargo is a no-goer and the SFA knows that. Suspend us from the SFA cup and be done with it. If they'd ask us to play on with the squad we have we can easily call on UEFA for the lack of "sporting integrity" and fair play shown by the national association. If they are indeed found out about gross negligence with regard to their knowledge about Whyte, the SFA may be in for a rude awakening - should Rangers sue them for loss of face and income and whatnot. First, I'd like to know what the vote will be.
  6. It'll probably say 9 bank managers turning the screw. BTW, UEFA contacted the SFA and the SPL today after di Stefano's letter. For all the fan bluster, the chairmen will probably say: "look folks, we would have wanted to vote No!, but our financial experts/backers have said that this is an either/or scenario. If you want to vent your anger, do it with them ..." BTW, SPL with sanctions is one of the scenarios. One that Green will take on board, if the transfer embargo is lifted.
  7. Looks better than the other two. I actuaklly liked the all black strip ... will always remember me of the last title win at Rugby PArk.
  8. Honestly, should e.g. Bayern Munich or indeed Real fall under the same status as we are and the German or Spanish supporters will get a vote, does anyone envisage that they would vote FOR these clubs to retain their status and are being re-instated in the BL or La Liga strait away? Or any other league? That is where "democracy" fails to deliver. You could likewise cast an "impartial" vote on more severe punishments for rapists and child-molesters, a vote solely done by mothers. The democracy asked for here will see Annan Athletic or Spartans join the SFL 3 ahead of us. It is as simple as that.
  9. Point is that di Stefano has made this public now and it has been spread over the boards and read by many people now. It's not confined to a handful of UEFA staff now. He has made valuable legal points and taken the torch to a place that will have to act one way or another. They could very well come up with their standard shield argument about: this is a matter of the national associations and we leave it in their hands. Hence, we need a decent QC to push on from here.
  10. [Rangers going into liquidation] ... and the myth continues. Thanks Sky!
  11. So ... who stole this list and sold it to the Rangers Trust then? Hands up!
  12. As I intimated, any buyer gets Rangers all inclusive. That includes Ibrox and Auchenhowie.
  13. They are still on leave (international games recently), as is Goian.
  14. Just an update Players/Staff confirmed at training Below is a list of players who have arrived for pre-season training. Players who have turned up: - Lee McCulloch - Lee Wallace - Kirk Broadfoot - Neil Alexander - Ross Perry - Kyle Hutton - Kane Hemmings - Andrew Mitchell - Darren Cole - Kal Naismith - Scott Gallacher - Alejandro Bedoya - Barrie McKay (STR) - Robbie Crawford - Blair Currie (GK) - Liam Kelly (GK) - Chris Hegarty - Salim Kerkar - (Lewis Macleod) Staff: - Ally McCoist - Kenny McDowall - Jim Stewart (GK coach)
  15. Could it be that this is the reason why the SFA wants to stop us from taking legal actions with their new league proposal? Obviously, if DiStefano has already submitted this data and UEFA will now look into Walter's comments too, this might become somewhat nasty for the SFA et al. Not that I am expection any grand results, but if we keep it lingering, there might be some end product in weeks to come.
  16. Well, I would assume that Rangers still have running costs that need to be met, legal fees, and 5.5m has been offered to the creditors, not - as far as I am aware - Ibrox, Auchenhowie et al. If that assumption is correct, any new buyer will get Rangers FC - all inclusive - for say 10 to 12m. Ain't that a good deal? Green's lot would pocket that money, strike off the creditor bill and retain some 4.5m to 6.5m, money split between the current investors. Now you tell me that a merchant bank and whoever is involved will go through all this hussle for say a 2m profit? A lot money for us, but them?
  17. Unless I am mistaken, we wil get compensation for McCabe and possibly Fleck regardless, youth development et al. You would hope that D&P were correct, so the club gets at least somewhat for the "deserters". What makes me wondering is that other clubs happily sign these chaps on without knowing the potential outcome of this. They might be sued for luring the players from existing contracts, mind you. The Sion chairman ... is that the same guy who fielded a dozen of players signed under the transfer embargo and challenged God and the world for that?
  18. There is not just black & white here (the cynic in me just remarked: true, there is Green, but anyway), so why would you try to split the support in either / or - factions? IIRC, it was made plain enough why he wanted more money. You see, what strikes me as odd with replies such as these is that while you seem to know a clear distinction between sensible and blind supporters (see above), you can't see farther than the asset-stripping argument. Or, indeed, explain how he would make millions out of the club's assets after his folk has apparently invested much more than the 5.5m asking (sic!) price. He could sell Auchenhowie for much more, or even Ibrox?! To whom? Would that make any sense ... i.e., doing that and risking to have ... say 5% of wrathful Rangers supporters with blood in their eyes chasing you around the globe? You see, I have always been told that Murray made millions out of Rangers during his tenure, but when I ask for any facts to back that up, well, they are is sparse supply, if any. (Which is not to say that I condone what SDM did, I just ask for facts rather than hearsay, conjecture and assumptions. As for Green's backers. That was a statement at the very beginning of his undertaking. Had we got a CVA, he might have more people on board still. We do not know exactly how many we have now. We may know when the next annual report happens by. For the time being, it is more sensible to watch warily, but objective too. We hardly have a clue how close Kennedy, McColl or Brown's folk are watching (or who is actually with them). They may always be a fall-back option. As it stands, when it comes to what he does at and for Rangers, Green and Co. have IMHO not failed. Whether we like some of his statements or behaviour is another matter and I for one do not overestimate somesuch.
  19. First, I would hope that in the near future we stop giving ex-Rangers and current Rangers players unnecessary defamatory or insulting names. Call me über-fan or whatnot, the diginity that comes with the stature of our club should be enough to keep us away from and above of that. Second, while what Naismith said may all fair and well, what stopped him or anyone else of thise jumping ship to wait another week and speak to Ally, Green and Co. in person? He could very well have told Green that - for the time being - he declines to sign up. Thus he signals his intent to challenge the assume TUPE stuff and would IIRC has his registration transfer with us suspended. The transfer window is still quite open and there was no need whatsoever to rush this. He - of all Bluenoses in the squad - would have been at the pulse of all events Rangers and would have known that by July 10th we all would know where Rangers FC stands.
  20. Ain't there an Arab bank in Britain one can utilize? Most of them survived the credit crunch et al nigh unscathed, because they are forbidden to do somesuch. The way some European banks handle their customers strikes you in the face, while their investors burned millions if not billions a few years back.
  21. Once Bedoya got a few games under his belt last season in his preferred position, he looked okay. Good to have him back.
  22. Tomorrows news: Fleck wonders who talked to the Sun in his stead!
  23. Ian Black, right after Aluko. We can always sign freebies ...
  24. Honestly, MHO he was at the time a greater waste of money than Flo, even though he did score some very important goals. Sion? Have they a sheilkh sponsor too now?
