  1. Pending on the funny stuff the SFA will hand out.
  2. Probably out of my school already (1987?). On a sidenote, I for one find it somewhat strange to level such words at people wanting to rescue the club, people with legendary status. Maybe that is a different, more diginified, level of thinking I prefer.
  3. That's not what I am saying. I say they mean not much to me if they are based on the same vague stuff that we have heard from Murray, Whyte and Green before. "McColl does not trust Green", fair enough. Why? It is a simple question.
  4. Taking your line ... "The way this group has acted is not how it should have been done / leaves a lot to be desired, to say the least." The last bit leaves much more room for behaving worse. I keep "disgusting" for the Scum and their lot, since there is not much "south" of that. And IMHO Walter & Co.'s behaviour was not exactly "disgusting".
  5. *lol* ... some people can't let up. You can discuss whatever and whomever you like, but in a thread designed for McColl & Co., we do not exactly need to jump on the anti-/pro-Green bandwaggon in the second post again ... after having HALF A DOZEN threads on that today alone!. No discrimination or order or whatever you may have perceived it. Thanks. The statement by McColl means absolutely nothing, since it is as unspecific as it gets. Much like I saying "I don't trust Paul Murray." So what?
  6. "disgusting" is probably somewhat lightly used and IMHO not appropriate. It should have been done differently, of that there is no doubt.
  7. 7. What exactly stops you from investing into the shares of the newco under Green's temporary guidance? @ gunslinger ... this is not a Green thread.
  8. These "vile" businessmen alongside Green must have hard stomachs if they want to go through the newco scenario with us. I for one would be hesitant in reducing the debate about the ownership down to "making money" and "saving the club" folk.
  9. gunslinger, GovanAllan ... why don't you two take a little breather?
  10. It seems? Why would he go to the team just being almost pummelled out of the Swiss 1st division? I don't need to understand this though.
  11. Excellent articles ... who essentially all heap negativity on Green and whip up feelings for Smith & Co.. I would be over the moon if Smith & Co. get their way, the treatment of Green leaves A LOT to be desired though.
  12. Would not reply to that snipe of GS. It was bound to come up and shyte-stirring against each and everyone seems to be the order of the day. I had thought that we hit an all time low of our dignity when the PLG ousting happened. Then came Whyte. And now our saviours look to wipe away what's left. My oh my.
  13. You can actually "see" the anger running out from rbr's post ... and fair enough.
  14. The point is that Traynor whipped up another utterly sensationalist article, taken up by various newsoutlets, and it was based on very little indeed. He got all the reaction he wanted though and while he just moves on to the next article (which might be 180 degrees to the opposite of yesterday's), we are up in arms and shooting in all directions. I for one am sick and tired of such "journalism" and would sincerely hope that Green or whomever owns us will see to that.
  15. The one thing that I have concerns with regards to Green & Co. is how they want to raise the money for the running of the club. As it looks, for the time being, it will be done much like what Walter & Co. would do, tapping into the ressources of investors and hoping on good season/normal ticket sales. On a sidenote, it is interesting to note that neither McColl or Smith were apparently looking to be part of the Blue Knights. Was that e.g. due to Paul Murray's role, history, and behaviour?
  16. Maybe these people should speak to Green now directly. They can buy their 15% shares and thus place Rangers on a safe footing. If McColl, Park and Co do that, they quick-own 30 and more % of the shares and get a decent say in the directors board. Of course, never mind HMRC's statement about default-declining CVAs, why do ultra-rich people like McColl and Park wait till after the CVA is done? They could have opted to make a combined CVA bid for say 20m and might have saved the day? There's so much not adding up or at least raising questions. I think I take a day or two out and see what has happened on Monday. On second thought, who would like to miss these "historic" times ...
  17. Says who? Traynor? Some "source close to" McCoist?
  18. Can't exactly understand the issue with Green here, especially when he says that he will be gone in the forseeable future. As with regards to the statements, that's hearsay and "accurate" press reporting then. At least as far as I am concerned.
  19. Maybe Walter and Co. should start talking to Green now, not the press.
  20. Says who? (With regard to all 5 statements above) As I said, they'd buy shares in Rangers FC, shares who will be there when Green is long gone. What would they do if they take over from Green & Co.? Split the share amount amongst themselves and have ... shares in Rangers FC? What's the difference?
  21. . Hindsight is a fine tool indeed.
  22. I can't see many faults in the article and statements above. (And I know the snipers and doom-singers will reply: "But we heard it all before!" Yes, we did. but from different people who were not checked and had no history at all.)
  23. I still am of the opinion that the best way right now is that Walter and Co. start talking directly (sic!) to Green and his chaps and see what is on offer. They can sign up for their shares now and once Green has done his job in a year's time or so, he will go anyway. Having shrewd business people and full-blooded Bears in there would be the IMHO best option ... since McColl and Co. have previously stated (IIRC) that they don't want to be in the leading positions. BTW, Green and Co. should jump at the chance to get McColl and Park on board. I WOULD sincerely hope that these people do not see this out in the press. We've lost enough of the club's dignity already.
  24. Unless I am mistaken, both the SFA and the SPL will register Rangers the club, not Rangers the company. Even if they nitpick on technical and legal stuff, Rangers the club won all the trophies, not Rangers the company, else many a teams' history and records would look very different.
  25. Possibly it could well be that some of them were (back then) only willing to go the CVA route, some who would go with the newco. Maybe some of the latter got cold feet now and he demands definite answers. Another Hart needs to be avoided, I'd assume.
