I find it hard to believe that Rod Petrie gives a decent rendition of The Sash. A duet with Tom Farmer perchance?
-
Is the finance department not the bold Big Fat Rod, CA - partner with E&Y
-
They are not withdrawing capital. What a ridiculous statement.
-
The club perhaps needs it, I agree. But will it go the same way as the previous £70 million, so even if it is paid the club don't get it?
-
If I had to have a guess just now I would say, maybe, 14,000. Which would only be 22,000 missing. Not bad.
-
Really? How unlucky are Rangers then, having the clueless plonker that we have.
-
If you start to use 'think' & 'if', then don't bother. The hypothetical does not interest me. And I am not starving the club of money. The board did that, why blame me? Rangers drastically overspent on football costs / activities, near £20million in less than 2 years. The board blew a further £50 million less shrapnel and you are playing the hypothetical, political pish and accusing me of starving the club of money. I laughed at your legal crap as well btw. Funniest thing I have read in ages.
-
Bit of a contradiction there, within that post itself and with regard to your previous one, but fair enough. I simply see it like you said, I have refrained from buying. I have not withheld any of Rangers money and I owe them absolutely nothing, not in any sense of the word.
-
Payment for what? We have not received anything, do not owe Rangers any money and they have no right to it. to refrain from giving or granting: to withhold payment. Like I said previously, I have 4 renewals totalling £2,448 in my home. Are you suggesting I am withholding money from Rangers by not giving it to them, yes or no?
-
Funnily enough, I cannot see that under any definition of 'withholding'. Are you suggesting that the money for STs is rightfully Rangers' ?? There are no monies being withheld from Rangers. Zero, zilch, square root of F all. I do however understand why the directors and at least 3 posters on here see it as withholding money from RFC.
-
What is disingenuous about my response? And, again, what do you mean by anti-withholding money? And while you are at it, who's money?
-
What do you mean by "anti-withholding money"? I do not know anyone or any company who are withholding money from Rangers. I do, however, know a number of people who are taking a bit of care when deciding how to spend their own hard earned cash. The boards idea, issued in many statements, that people are some how denying Rangers money is preposterous. People will choose how to spend their money the same as the directors of Rangers did with the £70 million they had at their disposal. Except the punters will know what it was spent on.

What is the criteria for being a representative of the Assembly? Is he an area delegate in the assembly? Looks like the assembly are finished anyway.

I skipped the last 3 Ibrox league games because I simply could not be arsed making the long trek to watch McCoist's shit.

Yes, that is why I posted. Given that we had as high as 18k ST holders not at games and virtually every game had at least 10k missing, it emphasises the ST culture. Our rsc has 6 guys in prime seats who were not at any game all season and another dozen who never passed a handful, for sure. Next season they will not be at any games, never mind pay fortnightly. Common sense will prevail, they are business guys who love Rangers but can read a balance sheet and identify with greed and deception. Every rsc has guys like this and it is the main reason that I think ST sales will be a disaster. Imo, the board have taken the loyalty of the support for granted and it will now not only bite their arses, it will bite their legs off. Because they refused to see common sense, refused to see the effects that the cash burn, lies and outright greed were having and expected a ST increase even. Delusions of grandeur, visions of splendour, the manic depressive he walks in the rain. We have a board of Cinderella men. Pity they never read the full lyric

I was told 3,500 late on friday and 5,000 on monday and I would put my mortgage on the source being 100% correct. I doubt very much we will sell anywhere near 20,000 but time will tell. My biggest worry is those who do not renew using the game by game principle. I doubt it will last more than a month, the matchday / RFC income will therefore drop considerably and the ST culture may well be gone. I think promotion this year is absolutely essential to prevent long term damage and I agree that only top division status can possibly counteract the possible major negatives. We are a category A rsc and, afaik, we have 2 seats signed up to 1972 Ltd. But I think we have zero renewals so far.

Green paid zero £s for the club, cost the club a million during his very short tenure and took 5 million shares @ a penny each for the privilege. And still calls the shots and the £70 million cash burn. Yet we have to continue funding this or we are killing our club. Horrible situation that needs changing indeed, coffee time.
-
You say blackmail, this asking for security against £12 million ST cash? Irony? Maybe not. It certainly is blackmail though, as you pointed out. Give us your cash regardless of our horrific track record, don't dare ask how we spend it and absolutely forget about our remuneration or you will lose your poxy seat. Bad news is there are 50,000 of them, so it will not be a problem and certainly no queues.

Go to the first couple of games then wander off. Golf, kids footie, pint with the guys, shopping with the wife even. The stakes are high now. We could lose a massive part of our matchday attendance pdq.

You also need to remember the vat deduction and the very cheap kids STs. £350 or so for your bog standard enclosure, copland front etc would leave under £300 a pop and kids about £80. Btw BEARGER, where does that highlighted quote come from? The key part anyway is £1.5m in the bank. And for those asking, GL's loan was taken asafp and probably spent before they got it. Doubtful Easdale's will be drawn, more likely an interest free pr stunt

Find it hard to believe you are not in constant dialogue with him by now. Or his legal team at least...... -

It has been suggested that was a downright lie. So would it be okay to lie, blaming fans via King rather than directly, as you maintain they have not? What you are seeing is a CEO who actively blamed an alleged supporters ST scheme for halting the cc financing structure. When, in fact, the gross mis-management of RIFC funds and massive cash burn was also given as the reason - in some quarters. Long before. The board can clarify their own position by publishing the communication with the cc mob from January. Then they may be in the clear. However, it may confirm they were told in January - long before any media coverage or supporter speculation re STs - and their position is absolutely untenable. But it really is very simple and Mr Wallace can clarify it at anytime he chooses. -
£320,000 a year for a company making massive losses and a turnover sub 25 million is not par for the course.

It will likely tell us nothing about DK. Probably be a rights issue or a share issue at a level where (1) the current shareholders will not be diluted enough to lose power (2) they re-finance at as low a level as possible just to keep it ticking over (3) until ST holders give in and / or matchday sales generate money and (4) therefore keep DK from possibly gaining a majority holding.
