  1. Other couple. 1.Who is the only player to score a hat-trick in the Premiership, Championship, League 1, League 2, (or the divisions under their previous names), the League Cup, the FA Cup and for his country? 2.Who is the only player to score in a Manchester, Merseyside and Glasgow derby?
  2. Alan gets cookie number 2. Henning Berg Chris Sutton One more to go.
  3. Dado gets a cookie for Henning Berg. And Mark it's only the Champions League, so 1992 onwards.
  4. Now, normally I'm good at this kind of thing, but this had me stumped for a long time when I got asked it today, thought I'd test you lot out. Name 3 players who have played for 3 British teams in the Champions League. As a wee example, my first guess was Craig Bellamy (Newcastle, Celtic, Liverpool) but then remembered he never played in Europe for Celtic having signed in January.
  5. We want France to beat Italy though. Germany are 11-0 up aganst San Marino.
  6. Ferguson/Clement is what I wanted to see. Get over to the FM thread chris
  7. Would it kill people to put a thought or two into a topic? You could of at least posted wheere/when he scored. You've had to make me think and come up with the fact that it was probably in a Euro qualifier. Your job as a thread starter is to give me facts, not make me think. Jesus..
  8. A big pat on the back to me aswell for masterfully getting his pic in there.. Or not. Just for the sheer hell of it, here's the other 2 Vienna lads.
  9. Hope he's better than he is in this.
  10. He's right, Sky's outstanding coverage of the Premiership has madfe it impossible not to have a favourite. It's almost like a TV show, in the sense it's on 2 or 3 times a week and you gradually grow to love a character and so on.
  11. Call me old fashioned.. but I don't like the fact that these takeovers are becoming more frequent.
  12. West Ham are having "exploratory discussions" over a possible takeover. The move comes hot on the heels of the club luring Argentine pair Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to the club. "Discussions are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer for West Ham will be forthcoming," said a club statement to the Stock Exchange. "The board also confirms that there is no contractual link between the signing of the players (Tevez and Mascherano) and the bid discussions." Media Sport Investment (MSI) owned the rights to the Argentine stars, who signed from Corinthians on transfer deadline day. Kia Joorabchian is the president of Media Sport Investment and pulled out of a potential takeover of theHammers in November 2005 after failing to agree a price with the club's directors. West Ham would not be drawn on revealing who they were in discussions with about the possible takeover. But Joorabchian told BBC Radio Five Live on Thursday: "MSI is a company that will not invest in European football as such by investing in a club, so that speculation is out for sure." No suprise really.
  13. Nah, this is kosher. Deal like this takes one phone call. Roder is clearly a fan of his and a deal was thrashed out this morning.
  14. OLIVIER Bernard returned to Newcastle on Friday and admitted: "I wish I'd never left! The French full-back spent four and a half years at Gallowgate after moving from Lens in 2000, and he returns to St. James' Park after being released by Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers. Bernard told Newcastle World TV: "When you spend so many years with a club like Newcastle, I just wish I'd never left. "That was probably the biggest mistake I've made since I've been in football. "I'm here today and I hope I can be here for the next couple of years. "It's Newcastle, it's a big club and maybe you only realise that when you leave it. "I soon as I passed through the door I realised the mistake I had made. "Today is payback time. I want to play for this club and show everyone I'm back for good. "When the opportunity came to come back I just had to jump on it and I know the family are happy to come back here. "Since I left I have been dreaming about wearing the shirt again, and today I have done that. Like I said, it is great to be back." Normally, I would say this is madness. But all they had was Babayaro, so..
  15. Chelsea paid £5m and got rid of an unhappy player and got the best left back in the world for it. For a team who weren't gonna budge, Arsenal got done.
  16. Move was completed just in time.
  17. HAHA.. Someone's tune changed quickly! It's £5m plus Gallas.
  18. Come up with that one all by yourself?
  19. Gallas is going to Arsenal Gav. He's just finished his medical.
  20. Arsenal and Real Madrid have agreed a deal to swap midfielder Jose Antonio Reyes for forward Julio Baptista, BBC Radio Five Live understands. The deal could become permanent at a later date. Reyes, 22, had long campaigned for a move back home and Real and Atletico Madrid had both been linked with swoops for the forward. Arsenal had hoped to sign Brazil's Baptista a year ago, but he chose Real where he had failed to settle down. Baptista did not train with Madrid on Thursday, with reports suggesting he was in London taking a medical and processing a work permit. Reyes joined Arsenal from Sevilla in January 2004 and last year extended his contract to 2011. Last month, the midfielder told the Spanish press he was keen to leave Arsenal for Madrid, saying he had not adapted to life in England. Reyes has not played for Arsenal so far this season with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger believed to have not used him in the Champions League in order not to cup-tie the midfielder and reduce his value. That's a story from earlier, but it's just been made official with Reyes wearing Number 19 for Real..
  21. That's it official now. BOSNIAN defender Sasa Papac was on clould nine tonight after jettining in to Scotland to complete a three-year deal from FK Ausria Vienna. The 26-year-old was involved in a remarkable whirlwind of events as he first flew from Bosnia to Malta to prepare for his national team's Euro 2008 qualifier Papac was then given Sasa Papacpermission to leave the Bosnian national team HQ in Malta to try to clinch his move to Rangers and was flown to Glasgow by private jet. The plane then waited on the tarmac as Papac was whisked to Murray Park by chief executive Martin Bain for a medical, the conclusion of a work permit application and personal terms. And finally Papac became a Rangers player with just minutes to spare before the deadline. The deal is subject to a work permit which Rangers hope to conclude imminently. Bain said: "We have to thank the Bosnian national team coach Blaz Sliskovic for allowing Sasa to come to Scotland and complete the deal. "Initially we were going to go to Malta to conduct our business but we are thankful that Sasa was able to come here. "We agreed a fee with Austria Vienna late last night and then the wheels were put in motion. Sasa is now on his way back to Malta for Bosnia's match on Saturday night." Paul Le Guen has now made his third raid on the Vienna club having already signed Libor Sionko and Filip Sebo.Sasa Papac Papac has been with FK Austria Vienna for two years after signing from lesser Austrian side FC Karnten. He won the Austrian Double last season with Sionko and Sebo and also played in the UEFA Cup two seasons ago when Vienna were knocked out by Parma after qualifying from the group stage. He was spotted after playing for Bosnia's under-21 side against Austria six years ago when he played with Bosnian side Siroki Brijeg, who were beaten by Hearts this season in the Champions League qualification stage. Although he played for Vienna in the Champions League qualifier against Benfica last week he is eligible to play for Rangers in the UEFA Cup following a rule change last season. The irony is that Rangers could meet Papac's old club in the group phase of the UEFA Cup if both sides qualify. Papac will not begin working at Murray Park until next Thursday as Bosnia have a home match on Wednesday night against Hungary.
