  1. YES! Wick Academy, currently 3rd in the Highland League, are closest. And we are quite a bit ahead of the other league leaders... Well done Ally btw!
  2. By the looks of things, if it were possible, D'Art would already be there.
  3. It is a non-ministerial department but the aforementioned David Gauke MP, is the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury and Minister responsible for HMRC. https://www.gov.uk/government/ministers/exchequer-secretary-to-the-treasury
  4. Al Capone could have said the same thing... I don't know anything about these people other than what I have read and on that basis I'm not terribly comfortable with their involvement...
  5. The club owns it's facilities contrary to internet rumours. The club can't respond to every obsessive blog post but will monitor these things. Daily Record pursues an anti-Rangers agenda and fans should see that for what it is... Jack Irvine of Media House does not speak for this Club.
  6. I agree craig but it is a bit of a minefield, your fact may not be my fact. I think Walter needs to make a statement. I was just trying to show that those left behind can use legal threats to make him think twice about the content...
  7. Perhaps so Andy but it comes back to the old chestnut of fiduciary obligation, there are legal restraints put upon a resigning director. From an ACCA document on corporate governance: Where a director has resigned, he or she will still be subject to certain fiduciary responsibilities towards the company, so he or she should be careful to conduct himself or herself carefully. He or she should not act in any way which could be construed as damaging the company and, in particular, it is advisable to exercise care not to make any statements which might all too easily be interpreted as impugning the integrity of past colleagues within the company. While bearing these considerations in mind, it is reasonable to make a statement, perhaps a letter to shareholders or a press release, announcing the resignation and the reason(s) for it. While directors do not have to publicise a reason for resigning, it should be possible to do so without adverse legal ramification. The reason should be as accurate as possible. Full doc here for those of a mind to read it http://www.accaglobal.co.uk/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-technical/corporate-governance/tech_tp_rfb.pdf
  8. It's official... http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=11668470
  9. I was at Stair Park in season 92-93 for a League Cup game and the crowd was a comfortable 4500. I always remember the segregation, it said on the ticket "Rangers Fans turn right at the bandstand" Couple of grainy pics from the night: For those wondering Rangers won 5-0, hat trick for McCoist and a brace from Hateley...
  10. It doesn't take a genius to work out that someone with his money and expertise could make a few quid out of Rangers' current predicament.
  11. ...and the fact that 1872-2012 is a 140 year period.
  12. Nicky Clark signing for the Gers on his way to the airport in the morning according to the Express http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/403088/Nicky-Clark-ready-to-return-to-Rangers
  13. Oops I think I had a part to play in slipping off topic Zappa. My apologies.
  14. I agree 100% hence the difficulties that any fan ownership model would face.
  15. In my reading of it, the problem seems to stem from the TRS outing of IAMRangers and more specifically the refusal to name the source. Chris and his detractors have had a forthright exchange of views on the subject on more than one occasion with no quarter given on either side to be honest.
  16. I expect we'll see Craig Mather reading the full report aloud on YouTube...
  17. @sneedhearn What can I say I'm a W.C. Fields fan...
  18. In my business VAT is paid quarterly but PAYE is paid by 22nd day of the month after the deductions were made. I think companies may be able to choose to make PAYE payments quarterly too though...
  19. Similar situation as Wilf McGuinness had when he replaced Sir Matt Busby. A thankless task. McGuinness was the United reserve team coach and stepped up. He lasted a year...
  20. Compensation is a FIFA stipulated sum to cover the cost of developing a young player even though his contract has expired. A transfer fee is in essence the perceived market value of an in contract player...
  21. From what I gather there is a compensation of around £20k to pay but not a transfer fee. He could be registered on Sept 1st as you say. I may have picked things up wrongly though...
  22. I don't see the point but hell why not...
  23. I was there in the early days of CR, Dado, Coop, MadCow, Sneddon, JeffCrapInTheHead and co. I attended a few meets as well. I'm still on there but mostly as a lurker... Next time I see you on there I'll say hello
  24. I have no doubt that people could vpn to a server then out to a forum or use a citrix style detour. I know also that not much is secure out there a quick look on http://www.shodanhq.com/ proves that! I was trying to deal with Barca's muddled technical argument in language that was as non-patronising as I could. #epicfail I install a lot of internet facing devices in my day job and we try to protect it but it is a very tough call. I just think that in the issue we are discussing it is unlikely that anyone has traced an IP address back to someones desk
