  1. Levein will be given another crack and we should get behind him. No point in getting on his back if the SFA are going to stick by him. I personally would like Souness to come in, but i doubt he would be offered it and i doubt he'd take it. Souness knows what it takes to play for Scotland and we'd be well fired up under him but Levein is going to be in charge due to his friendship with the media. And thats what it boils down too. Levein is good to them, so they aint gonna turn on him. Hes no better than Burley was albeit he seems to have a better relationship with the players that GB did. We've went quite a bit back the way since Mcleish and Walter. Had either of them been in charge for this campaign then im sure we'd be heading for the play-offs. This glorious failure (or just failure in this campaign) and being good losers is getting a bit boring. We've got some very good players and we should have done better
  2. Hearts ha ha Gonna be a tough night, first 20 mins are massive, we need to keep our shape and try keep the ball as much as we can even if it means not being too adventurous. I doubt we could win this one if it was played 20 times over, but we still have a chance and after the farce in Prague we have to be happy that we are still in with a slim chance. Massive night for Craig Levein, albeit he will get another crack at the World Cup finals regardless of the result. I think he has made progress but managers jobs live and die on their decisions and he made a bad one in Prague. If he makes the play-offs then it might put it to bed, if not, then it will follow him for a while longer. As Gribz says though, Mon the Hearts
  3. Dont support them in Europe but im glad they are in the Europa League as its hard playing Thursday then Sunday. Also makes it a bit better the way they got into the competition
  4. With the home games its felt like watching the same game over and over. We will only beat teams comfortably at home if we get an early goal which changes the dynamic of the game, almost to an away game with the opposition forced to come out and attack us. Its just been the case that we've left it later to score and we (team and fans) get a bit frustrated. I dont see us droppping many points at Ibrox and im delighted with our away form so long may it continue
  5. I think this is a non story. Not entirely sure but Villa dont have much money to spend in Jan. I know he wanted Ki from celtic but didnt have the money towards the end of the window thats just passed. I think its just paper talk trying to unsettle us
  6. The student discount will be about for a few weeks. Its been done before at this time of year with uni's starting up. Good move.
  7. Its worrying that this was all came about from a steward going into the section. This will get worse before it gets better I think. I was sitting in the Broomland Rear above the Blue Order who were great throughout yesterdays game (albeit that SNP song got quite annoying). It did seem as if the Police were a bit intimidating, I obviously couldnt tell what was going on, but by the police standing infront of the TBO they seemed to make things worse and create a hostile atmosphere. There were no offensive songs being sung from what i could hear and if it was just one individual causing problems then it couldve been dealt with better i think. I agree with what someone earlier was saying about how they speak to people outside the stadium, like in the queue for the Subway. Some cop was shouting in peoples faces to get in against the curb when all he had to do was ask people to step into the right. Also before the game I had to go over to Ibrox to collect tickets and just outside the underground there was a guy being arrested (clearly oot his nut), sitting on the floor, in cuffs, shouting and swearing at the police as they were putting him into the van. Now the method the guy was handled in was certainly over the top. The guy was wasted and although he was being abusive, he wasnt being violent, yet the cops smacked his head purposely against the door of the van then pushed his head in a way that wouldve clearly hurt the guy. It seemed a bit heavy handed both inside and outside for me. But the Rangers fans shouldnt be doing the bouncy around them as they come to lift someone
  8. The next 3 games are massive! I think Gavs right, if we can get 10 points clear, even with them having games in hand it will play on Celtics minds. Given their recent history with facing big tests, i think it will make them more likely to drop points
  9. Is it true you were playing tennis with Nadal and returned an ace?
  10. tell me there is a video of the reverse bouncy??
  11. I've never been on twitter so I'm not sure how it works but wouldn't it be better if Rangers fans didn't rise to his comments on it. Or say, if he posted something having a go at us, get our fans not to bite but spam him with replies nothing to do with football (like song lyrics from 80's power ballads or something). Something completely random that would mean he wasn't taken as seriously.
  12. Its 4 or 5 million earned that they could spend on players in January. Id want them in for the sake it would tire them, but there is a big enough gulf in finances as it is. Worst case, they get back in and win the league. That would be a 20 million windfall for them that i doubt we'd recover from for a long long time
  13. Parker for 8 million in the middle of the park to play alongside wilkshire or Ramsay for experience Dann for 8 million to play centre half. Not needing to break the bank Get onto City for one of their strikers on loan for a season They shouldve signed Given as well I'd sell Arshavin as well and bring in a quality winger or wingers the way utd have They are in an awful lot of trouble if he doesn't spend. Spurs and Liverpool are currently ahead of them for fourth right now
  14. I do agree but i think it would be near on impossible to pull something like this off. There are too many dodgy agents out there and fraud would be a bigger part of the game again
  15. Our taxes paid for that article. An absolute sham. His writing style is f*cking awful. Hope Coisty shuns him all season
  16. I'm getting annoyed with how much we are hearing from Whyte, I'd rather he didn't mention individual targets either
  17. Birmingham City have completed the free transfer signing of midfielder Morgaro Gomis on a two-year deal despite the departure of Alex McLeish as manager. - BBC He had nowt to do with this signing and he signed on Wed I think. The squad he had at Brum was a championship squad, even the season they finished 9th. Had the owner backed him like they said he would, there is no way they wouldve went down. Winning the Carling Cup was also to his downfall as it took a lot out his players. His squad was so lightweight towards the end that Johnson, Fergie and Ridgewell were all taking injections to play. Imagine Whyte came in and started signing players for Ally, then sent his own coaches to Murray Park. I doubt very much if Ally would stick around
  18. Name me a manager who hasn't made bad signings, that's football. Point is it should always be the managers choice who he signs otherwise you undermine his vision for the club. Notice how Brum are still signing players without a manager?? How does that work!
  19. I do love Gavs obsession with him He had to leave brum, the board started signing players for him. Putting random coaches on the training ground. Sacking the head scout. Promising him 80 million and spending about 25 over 2 years. He identified targets like pav, Zamora, dembele and Robbie keane. All were about to sign til the board backed away. He hasn't spent much money yet has still brought in some quality with Hart, Foster, Dann, Johnson, Gardner and Ferguson. Out with Hart, that lot cost 18 million, now worth almost double that. It's a bold move but Lerner seems one of the best chairmen to work with and I think he will do well there.
  20. Exactly how I feel. Kenny McD said he was his player of the season which shows his worth. This 1 good game, 5 bad games is a bit of a myth for me! It cant be easy to perform to a good level most weeks being moved from position to position, sometimes even during games. A player I'd like to see us tie down on a long-term contract
  21. I thought it was fantastic. Interesting to hear what the guys thought of souness after he left
  22. Actually thought the program was pretty well made. Really enjoyed it
  23. He came out and said he would rather be playing for arsenal. Before the carling cup final. I'd defo take seb larrson, great delivery and works hard as well
