  1. Oh come on BH every man and his dog in this country had Rangers guilty of anything and everything and we had to accept our 'punishment' for this. Now the BTC is almost over(does anyone think HMRC will win this now?) the case against Rangers has all but collapsed. And there hasn't even been the hint of a suggestion of an apology from these ten clubs or Rhegan's SFA to say they got it wrong. Badly wrong IMO. The information these ten clubs based their decision on was nothing more than deliberate false speculation from the east end. Rangers were guilty of 'cheating' and 'playing players we couldn't otherwise afford' by cheating the tax. Who can forget Michael Kelly screaming down a mic on BBC news night he wanted titles stripped? Remember too KIllie abstained from this vote. a wise decision now methinks
  2. I read this morning McCoist wants to sign 'an attacking midfielder'. Haven't we already got Law and McLeod(if he gets played in his best position middle-to-front and not defensive MF). Would we not be better off trying to get a bit of creativity in MF ? Last season our MF was slow and predictable with little or no flair or creativity. How will that change next season?
  3. Is it not now proven to be the case these 10 clubs took a decision based on deliberately inaccurate information aimed at causing the maximum possible damage to Rangers? The decision to eject Rangers from the top division has cost Rangers well into tens of millions of pounds in lost revenue. Will the board make any attempt to recover that lost revenue from either these ten clubs or the SFA itself who should have taken any such decision?
  4. Our next manager must come from outside of Scotland.Frankly there is no one in this country I can say whom I believe is an ideal candidate to replace Ally(hopefully sooner rather than later)
  5. Normally I'd have said the same but the summer of 2012 changed everything for me. The 10 clubs who voted Rangers out the top division now need to be asked why they took that decision. Until they come out & explain their decision I shall fervently hope they lose every game they play in such as these. The collapse of the BTC means the only feeble reason they had was the newco nonsense which holds no water as Hibz did the same thing in 1991 and weren't voted out.
  6. If 'faceless investors and hedge fund' own less than a third how do they control the boardroom?
  7. I don't think we'll ever know what Whyte's plan was if he ever had one in the first place. I'd always thought that had a CVA been agreed he'd have sold Rangers debt free to someone for a reasonably modest fee and been seen as some sort of saviour but it never worked out after it became apparent what he'd been up to since he took over.
  8. Surely irrelevant if the oldco hadn't been put into liquidation process. Oldco would still exist and they'd still be valid
  9. Does anyone agree with me here - without the BTC the oldco was never insolvent
  10. Other than HMRC(who are owed the PAYE and NI Whyte didn't pay plus the small tax case which Whyte was supposed to pay but didn't) who are these creditors? There are no football debts as these were paid by newco as a condition of the licence being transferred. Ticketus aren't a creditor as Lord Glennie only granted them personal contractual rights hence their pursuit of Whyte thro' the courts down south. Don't forget too the RFFF paid off a number of small debts too. As a rough guess I'd say HMRC are owed circa £16m. Are D&P and BDO getting the rest of this £24m?
  11. I think we might see a bit of wheeling & dealing before the end of next month. If Moshni is sold then maybe the money might get used to move on one or two fringe players which might allow replacements to be brought in.Whether Ally is capable of doing this and improving the squad in this way is another matter
  12. A better manager would improve things with the current squad. No doubt about that but I think he'd want to bring in players for positions which clearly need strengthening I.e MF creativity, pace in wide areas up front, a proper RB and maybe a GK too
  13. Regardless of who's manager we're still 3 or 4 players short to challenge for the title in the top division.
  14. Fringe men must do more? What about first team management doing more to ensure we don't have to watch the dross we endured for much of last season?
  15. We have to accept now there is a minority amongst our support (and it is very much a minority) who are totally opposed to anything the board say or do regardless of whether it is in the best interests of Rangers or not. This Official Fans Board is yet another example. If they want the board replaced then there is only one feasible way to do that and that is to acquire a large enough shareholding to remove them. There is no other way
  16. When you consider what Swansea City and the four Dutch clubs are being investigated for by the EC then you'd think the dhims haven't got a leg to stand on
  17. Wallace has been recruited for when we return to the top division and get back into Europe. As I've said to you many times before he should be judged on how well he does his job(or not as the case may be). If he does it well then I've no objection to his remuneration package
  18. We've had this debate before.Unless you're prepared to buy shares then you can say all you want but nothing will change.
  19. Is Wallace's contract that much different from Bain's ? At least Wallace seems qualified. Bain wasn't. I think for a Club like Rangers his contract is what we'd need to pay for the right calibre of person. Whether Wallace is the right calibre of person or is doing a good job is another debate entirely
  20. Well given the reluctance of eminent Rangers people to buy shares what makes it more likely they'd buy shares in this company which would own the stadium and MP after paying how much for them?
  21. No chance. Absolutely no chance. The only thing that will go is Rangers Football Club as we know it. It will cease to exist as Scotland's most successful professional football club and it would need to reform in the amateur or junior ranks. I do not want to see that day. Never.
