  1. I disagree that Walker is an extraordinary hypocrite. There plenty the same as he.
  2. Greatest full back - left or right- I ever saw.
  3. Laudrup could play on the surface of the moon.
  4. Don’t say no, we’ll have another go. Hotspurs 1-2 Gunners Bournemouth 1-1 City (Am I out of my mind?) Brighton 3-1Town Burnley 1-2 Palace United 3-0 So’ton Wolves 4-0 Cardiff Hammers 2-2 Mags Watford 2-1 Leicester Chelsea 3-0 Fulham Everton 2-2 Liverpool Good match in the Championship tonight: Leeds 1-2 WBA.
  5. Worth a try. Refusal to publish can always be stored in the ammunition box for later. As for the SP the contortions of the Committee might be valuable as negative publicity. Also a chance for Conservatives and respectable Labour to stick their heads above the parapet.
  6. Agreed but there is another way. If 72 are absolutely certain on the facts, as I’m sure they are, they can write to a reputable newspaper if they can fnd one (Scotsman, Herald of several decades back) drawing the editor’s attention to Dornan’s Parliamentary Group creation and its ostensible purpose and contrast that with his conduct as set out in the statement. They don’t even have to call him a liar. “Failure to state accurately” or similar lawyer’s weasel phrase would do. Complain also to the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee of the Scottish Parliament.
  7. Five more for us and a despondent celtic thrashed in Gorgie with the returned ayatollah sent to the stand for crowd abuse. Form over the past three seasons, however, suggests 0-1 at Ibrox and 0-3 at Tynecastle. Please God, let me be wrong.
  8. Well done VB. Pursuing a maggott can never be a wholly bad thing. But they’ve petitioned nobody to get Dornan’s influence removed from something. Tilting at windmills. That’s for tims. Or Dons, even. On second thoughts this is actually something tims do quite well. They’re no good at displays and banners but they’re sharp enough at real political stuff.
  9. Correct. Target Dornan by all means. A worthwhile endeavour. Just do it properly.
  10. The caterwauling knight was dementing on Talksport this am along with his great mate White. Weep with Rodney.
  11. I think Chelsea will be fishing in a bigger pond but, I agree, he might be looking for something with a bigger name. Newcastle, Everton, even Villa are bigger clubs than Leicester. So is celtic if I’m honest but Leicester play in a much bigger league.
  12. Midweek results will have no resemblance to these: Cardiff 1-0 Everton Town 1-0 Wolves Leicester 0-2 Brighton Magpies 1-1 Burnley Gunners 3-1 Bournemouth So’ton 0-0 Fulham Chelsea 2-1 ‘Spurs Palace 2-1 United Liverpool 3-0 Watford City 4-1 Hammers
  13. I don’t know of any way that petitions on change.org can compel anything to happen unlke a parliamentary petition where 100,000 signatories might get you a debate. Dornan’s group was set up by him under Scottish Parliament rules so complaints should be made to The Standards, Procedures and Publc Appointments Committee at Parliament along the lines that Dornan should be removed from the convenorship of the group on the ground that his own conduct has been sectarian, citing relevant examples. Better still stand against him at the next election or support any party but his. As an aside, how do you remove anyone “from influence“? Bearger and Black Socks are right. I don’t say that often on non football matters.
  14. The original flier posted on another board urged opposition to the bbc’s “impartial” broadcasting. I see that’s been corrected but I hope they get a grown-up to help them with the rest of this.
  15. Cardiff 2-1Watford Hammers 3-0 Fulham Burnley 0-3 ‘Spurs Bournemouth 2-2 Wolves Newcastle 0-1Huddersfield Leicester 2-1 Palace Arsenal 2-0 So’ton United 2-1 Liverpool And lastly on the Cariboo Trail: Chelsea 1-3 City
  16. Ah, well. At least we’ll have Jeremy Corbyn supporting us. Probably George Galloway too. And all the tims.
  17. 2-3 for 10 man City. Mane’s goal a rocket screamer.
  18. Liverpool nuttin’, Bayern null. Not bad for a goalless draw, though. Salah has lost his devastating form of last season.
  19. Congratulations. Well done him.
  20. I mind it fine, compo. What a team we had. Killie were pretty good. Their side would win the league against current opposition.
