  1. Personally i think its a joke he isn't in the squad. I can 100% understand him not starting but he is definitely one of the best, if not the best, Scottish left back. Considering how weak Scotland is defensively its a farce not to have him in there. Plus he is only 25 and in 2/3 years time when we are back in our rightful position he will be the most likely starting LB in the Scottish Team....so why not get him in there now and involved with the setup.
  2. Am i not right in saying this was previously found to be a fake account?
  3. I could be way off the mark here but we are paying this guy 200k+ per year to do what exactly so far all he seems to be doing is banging his f*cking drum on a daily basis? Look at all the CE's of the big clubs in England, you basically never hear from them, they just get about their business quietly and professionally.
  4. I loved KT when he played for us but signing him would be highlighting everything that is wrong with our club recently. We should be looking to bring in players with sell on value, not older players, with terrible injury problems who will no doubt just end up collecting a wage whilst lying on the injury table. Our centre midfield for next season should be McLeod and Black or Hutton. No need to sign another.
  5. Agree. Not a fan of Alexander anyway. What about at Right Back....surely to christ we must have one youngster better than Agyriou....he is hopeless.
  6. Does all that cash not go to oldco if i remember correctly?
  7. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record but I really hope to f*ck we either get shot of Alexander and sign Bell or vice versa. No point whatsoever in having them both, total waste of money that could be spent on our shoddy defense!
  8. I'm more alarmed at the fact one of our directors is speaking to the press about private matters. That is of course if this article is to be believed.
  9. Well someone needs to tell him if that is seriously what he thinks. It would be a real worry for me if that was the way the club was going at this stage.
  10. If Ally is serious about paying 8k p/w to Bell and 16k p/w to Alexander then we have a real problem imo. That would be 1.25 million per year excluding any bonuses and signing fees for goalies while playing in the 2nd div! One decent goalie is more than sufficient for where we are at the moment and if Ally doesn't see that someone on the board, Sir Walter for example, needs to go down and tell him to wise up.
  11. Do you have any idea how our budget compares to the likes of say Aberdeen or Hibs for youth development? double, treble.... 10x ? Also say we scout a player from Inverness and want to sign him how does that work? do we need to shift him to Glasgow or does he just commute at the weekend for a training session? I imagine if its the former that would cost a bloody fortune if you were doing it for multiple players. Sorry nae idea how any of this works...
  12. He won't come to us for that imo. No real evidence to support it but i imagine he will get a decent bump in salary to come to us. Just used 5k to make the calculation nicer.
  13. Alexander is out of contract at the end of the season so i would probably say goalie and CB are priorities, Mid and Attack wise are still way above what is required for div 2.
  14. You would be able to get another goalie in on emergency loan or get an out of contract goalie. Its not ideal, but at the moment Alexander is costing us 15k p/w and say Bell conservatively on 5k p/w so that's 1mil + bonuses etc to play between the sticks in div 2 and 1 (or div 3 again if the SFA have their way) is just way OTT. As i say when we are back in Europe or even the SPL yes you need 2 decent goalies but until then it is just overkill. In fairness to Alexander he probably looks worse than he really is at the moment because are centre backs leave him exposed too much but his wages alone for me says he needs to go at the end of the season...regardless of how good or bad he has been.
  15. I must have missed this great year in 2012. We shouldn't be giving out contracts as favours or pats on the back, he isn't good enough simple. We need 1 experienced goalie and a decent youngster with where we are at, at the moment. Only way that would change imo is if we were playing in Europe again.
  16. I really hope we sign him and punt Alexander. Alexander isn't good enough for us and is a total liability when it comes to crosses in the box or balls over the top. Far far too slow off his line. Not to mention his distribution which is probably the worst i have ever seen from a professional goalkeeper.
  17. I've taken this from another forum which i think shows we don't need to worry here: Just to make something clear here. Any creditor can issue a winding up order. If Man United owed me £2.50, I can seek a winding up petition against them. I wouldn't get granted it, but it's one tactic that some less than favourable creditors use to try and scare businesses into paying them monies that are currently argued over. Seeking a winding up order and being granted one are HIGHLY different things, and a winding up order doesn't say anything about the financial liquidity of a business.
  18. Oh ma heid....please tell me we are not paying Alexander 16k p/w!
  19. Alexander was shocking imo. He needs to go. Look at the difference between their goalie and Alexander at cross balls...he came for everything and we didn't cause them any bother from any corners. Alexander on the other hand didn't come for 1 and they were causing us problems all day from crosses. Also i think a Klos, McGregor, Goram would have saved that first goal, maybe a tad harsh on him but that is the sort of calibre we expect from our goalie. Shiels is another that must be benched. He has been crap since he signed. I genuinely thought he would do well for us but fact is he just isn't performing. Give McKay a run in that role if Ally persists on this 1 up front nonsense. Little is wasted out on the right, needs to be through the middle.
  20. Great news and don't want to put a downer on things already but how Ally can say this "It also shows the fans that good talent is coming through at Murray Park." i have nae idea considering we signed him from Killie at age 16.
  21. Does this numpty not understand that if this law had been in place, no-one would have managed to buy us and we would no longer exist. So now we have a company that is paying tax to the government versus a club out of business paying zero tax and resulting in redundancies with some people likely needing benefit support!
  22. Well with the quality we have at the moment, Little, Shiels, Sandaza we have sufficient to be able to beat our level of opposition. It certainly doesn't justify spending over the odds for an older player on a poor run of form.
  23. Agree on Cribari he has looked really assured the past couple of games. But as with all of our players at the moment we will only get a real idea of there quality when up against better quality opposition.
  24. I agree with what you are saying but we shouldn't be picking between Boyd and Kyle because we shouldn't have either in our team. Expensive for the position we are in, what they offer and lack of ever being able to recoup the expenditure further down the road. You just have to read books like the Secret Footballer to realise players make a killing when moving out of contract. They get massive signing on fees so when you add that to wages these guys command are getting costing us way more than what is necesarry.
