  1. Totally agree but just how do we do that? We have been trying to do get answers for the last 12 in terms of the Green purchase and what it really entailed. As soon as the fans part with their season ticket money the nonsense starts again for another year and those in a position of power manage to get away with it despite intense scrutiny. The real way to DEMAND answers was to starve them of the season ticket income but clearly that would have led to an inevitable and unsatisfactory outcome.
  2. I think the answer to this question can already be confirmed as a resounding NO. To be fair, it did centre upon the ability to field a couple of decent CH's and clearly that was never going to be an option today. Seriously cant see us having any success in the Scottish Cup which is usually more of a challenge than the League Cup. Very disappointing today, no doubt about that.
  3. Seemed like it was just Elgin and Annan we were playing last season!
  4. I think we would really need to ride our luck to get close to winning either of the 2 main cup competitions.
  5. Good to know we're not wasting our money ! Obviously a breakdown in communication after it was requested we get ourselves a top Dutch coach!
  6. I'm not personally on Facebook but aren't there over 300,000 people signed up to the official Rangers Facebook page. Surely to god it would be straight forward getting all those eligible to sign the petition to do so using that platform alone?
  7. Sounds like it has all the makings for the next series of 24. Now we know why CW has sold the film rights!
  8. Harte was aligned to the TBK's bid originally but ended up with Green despite one or two early denials. Is it possible Paul Murray feels betrayed?
  9. I didn't think I was slipping into hysteria, purely making the point that it may not be in our interest to be blindly backing the current regime until we are 100% satisfied we are happy with the answers being provided.
  10. I don't think searching for the truth is too much to ask and in the unlikely event that I didn't renew my season tickets I fail to see exactly how this plays into Whyte's hands? Nobody is talking about abandoning the Club, simply applying some pressure to get the answers we deserve. If you are comfortable with what you are hearing from Green then fair enough, personally I find it all very unpalatable. Rest assured, my commitment to supporting the team at the bottom or the top remains the same!
  11. In my view, based on previous discussions with Mr Whyte, it is unlikely in the extreme that he would sell “his” shares to Mr Green for a nominal sum (even if he hadn’t committed them to me) unless he was obtaining some benefit or retaining some control behind the scenes. Duff & Phelps non-communicative approach to stakeholders causes me further concern in that regard. I am opposing the CVA and urge all loyal fans to do the same. We don’t want to be back in a similar situation next season. I also believe that all true Rangers fans should not buy any season tickets until full and frank disclosure has been provided by Duff & Phelps, Mr Green, and Mr Whyte, as to what is truly going on behind the scenes. The above quote by Dave King, helpfully posted earlier on this thread, is one that has never left me. Like most, I was very wary of the surprise Green takeover and the immediate counter offer by the Walter Smith led consortium, the John Brown "episode" and the daily drip feed of negativity surrounding Green on the David Leggat blog only heightened my concerns. Whatever views you may hold on these 3 individuals, it would be hard to argue that they are not Rangers men with the best interests of the Club being there only agenda. As the weeks passed there gradually seemed to be a softening of attitudes towards Green and we all reached the position where we had to back him or not. I reluctantly did so in the form of renewing my season tickets and later investing in the share offering. Despite all that, the above quote from King was always going round in my head. Throughout the turmoil of the original sale to Whyte, subsequent Administration and ultimate Liquidation, only Dave King and Alistair Johnston have in my opinion called it as it is. Whatever criticism that is thrown at them as being part of the Murray regime, I for one don't doubt their integrity or honesty when it comes to their actions towards Rangers. Therefore, when King effectively ridiculed the notion that Whyte would be willing to hand over his shareholding to Green then there was a great unanswered question as to how this deal with Duff and Phelps was actually struck. I was also aware through one of the Blue Knights that Whyte had demanded £8m for his shareholding when discussing with TBK and that the TBK were 100% sure Whyte and Duff and Phelps were working together. Therefore, the explanation that Green handed Whyte £2 to double his money never stacked up. Whilst Duff and Phelps were quoted as saying Whyte had become a non-issue, again this seemed too straight forward particularly when there was clearly a relationship between those two parties. Ultimately the events of the last 24 hours have confirmed all the previous fears and whilst I don't know where the exact truth lies, my overwhelming feeling is that even if we take the Club statement as fact, these behaviours are not becoming of people associated with or running Rangers Football Club. I will think long and hard before renewing again this year and I will be interested to see what Dave King and others have to say over the next few days. Frankly, the whole situation is just another major embarrassment.
  12. He would be better spending his time undercover spying on the likes of Green, Ahmed & Whyte and then we might have a clearer idea about what is going on.
  13. Let's just hope there's not a second contract!
  14. I don't view the Sandaza incident as the worst thing ever to have happened. If anything, he may just have presented us with the equivalent of an "open goal" in terms of being able to move him at no expense! Frankly, he has been a disaster and this will hopefully allow us to make a clean break. Don't see any way back for him now.

    Kevin Kyle

I felt he would have done a job for us if he could have stayed fit, particularly at the away games where I thought the games would have been a real battle. In actual fact, most of the D3 teams play more football than us so a big target man wasn't really a major requirement! Ironically his best performance was at Montrose which proved to be his final game.

    Kevin Kyle

Kevin Kyle has confirmed that he has left Rangers by mutual consent as it was looking unlikely he would be fit before end of season. Not sure if this was common knowledge, I wasn't ware of it.
  17. After having to listen to the pish spouted by John Yorkston over the years I would take a fair amount of pleasure in seeing them disappear up their own arse! Not so smug now!
  18. 100 per cent tell them where to stick their invite. My view has always been that if we don't work our way through the leagues back to the top then it will forever be cast up in years to come. Simple as that.
  19. Rangers will play Stirling Albion at Ibrox on the above date. March 23rd will also mark the 18th Anniversary of the great Davie Cooper's tragic death. It would be pleasing to think that some sort of tribute could be arranged for the day.

    Rangers 1996-97

I will check....I reckon I do have some recordings of these games in the 90's. Again, the problem is I don't have a video machine to work out exactly what is on them!
  21. And both teams packed full of home grown Scottish talent nurtured and assembled in a cost effective manner.
  22. Don't think there is any doubt about it, that team of the eighties was head and shoulders better than the current offering.
