  1. Good article supporting the fans' protest ... https://footballtaxhavens.wordpress.com/2019/02/28/murdoch-maclennans-greater-second-conflict-of-interest-being-chairman-of-the-press-association-group-and-the-spfl/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  2. Mrs. Gray is absolutely correct. She is highlighting typical R.C. cult behaviour of silence in the face of real problems. We've seen it from their church with child sex abuse, Liewell and Celtic, and from the SNP representatives. None of them will accept responsibility for the cult followers' actions.
  3. How is this sectarian problem going to be solved? On the one hand we have Dornan - one-sided approach. on another we have Deputy Chief Constable Will Kerr and his approach - Police Scotland would "certainly not be going to arrest our way out of this", on yet another we have Deputy First Minister John Swinney who said football clubs had to "show much more leadership to their fan base" on sectarianism. Blame the proddies, no arrests and blame the clubs - deja vu !! Anybody confident that the results of our national leadership actions will be successful?
  4. Agreed. However, complaining in an email and visibly protesting is quite different. Remember Sandy Jardine leading the walk to Hampden.
  5. Brenda, please don't leave until we get 55 this season?!!!
  6. Are you thinking of the alleged influence the board has on c1872?
  7. You make sure he is removed from having any bearing on a committee which might attempt the following ... "Social influence is the change in behavior that one person causes in another, intentionally or unintentionally, as a result of the way the changed person perceives themselves in relationship to the influencer, other people and society in general. Three areas of social influence are conformity, compliance and obedience." Especially since we know of Dornan's previous actions and utterances.
  8. You're right. I erred. I was thinking of his post in the other thread about the march to BBCPQ.
  9. SNP before Rangers. You would think that the SNP would learn about trying to stuff legislation down supporters throats, remember the OBatF Act. Yousef is talking about Strict Liability and Dornan wants to eradicate sectarianism but from one side. If the supporters don't want the legislation, to adhere to the laws passed, they must respect the laws and also those who passed said laws. It appears unlikely at the moment that supporters would welcome any restraints on their 90-min bigot fest, especially from a Government that has shown itself to be less than excellent. No one wants a one-sided look at sectarianism. I don't subscribe, in this day and age, to the theory that anti-catholic bigotry is as bad as is professed by the 'pundits'. I think most people are quite content to let the next guy get on with his religion in his own way. On the other hand the anti-Irish bigotry is there and is palpable. Without condoning this bigotry, I get the impression that the reason for it being so visible is that instead of quietly integrating into into Scots' society they give the impression that they want to rule it and force Scots to their culture and way of thinking. As a quick comparison look at the Poles. An ever increasing sizeable Polish population, catholic, but integrating into Scots society without too many bumps in the road. Without trying to be too simplistic, it can be done if the will is there.
  10. He's already said, in a bigoted fashion, that since it is from the VBs he wont be interested.
  11. The author of the petition has belittled nothing in the eyes of those who support his intentions. Step forward those of you who are error-free, just a little !!
  12. No doubt you are familiar with Dornan, his views ,where he was educated, his favourite football team etc. When he was by-passed for a higher government post he created this anti-sectarianism group. Since it is a group under the auspices of the Scottish Parliament I have no doubt that the petitioner has taken it to be a National group. You could say he was paraphrasing, however, his intent is understood by the signees of his petition. No doubt you are fully up to date now. p.s. Look at the names of the members of his committee and this will draw even more emphasis to the petitioner's intent ... https://www.parliament.scot/msps/currentmsps/98414.aspx https://www.parliament.scot/msps/combatting-sectarianism-in-scottish-society.aspx Skip to content Languages Accessibility SiteMap Help Find us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube Home Home MSPs Current MSPs James Dornan Personal Information Current MSPs James Dornan Personal Information Contact Details Register of Interests Search Personal Information Member for: Glasgow Cathcart Party: Scottish National Party Date of Birth: 17 March 1953 Education: St Mirin's Primary School, Glasgow Holyrood Secondary, Glasgow Career History: 2003 - 2007 Parliamentary researcher to Stewart Maxwell MSP 2007 - 2012 Glasgow City Councillor for Langside Ward Contact Full Contact Details Email: James Dornan Follow me on Twitter Further information Email our Public Information Servicefor more information. 16. Only one comment to those on that twitter conversation that say only the west of Scotland have this sectarian problem where other countries who have separate schools do not - We took in the survivors of the famine and this is what they left us with !! 17. The SFA's latest committee should start with this and question what part of society teaches this kind of mentality. In early teens maybe, but in your thirties? It's very sad, really.

  20. All of his whining was sour grapes. Rangers were simply too good for his team tonight.
  21. You can't teach the kind of determination to finish that Alfie has, we can only hope the rest of the team pick this up from an accelerated osmosis effect.
