  1. Two words that Frankie included in his excellent summary, were maturity and humility. Such qualities appear to be scarce.
  2. Agree that this appointment, in several ways, is strange. However, the way in which the SPFL board handled the Motherwell issue, the word strange is compatible with the way that this board deal with most issues.
  3. Almost on a weekly basis Provan includes something derogatory about Rangers in his column. He claims to be "frank and fearless " I find him to be "tedious and tiresome "
  4. Yes, M and B were great but with people like Baxter and MacMillan providing quality service, it certainly helped.
  5. A taster for next year's decisions? Just hope that our performances improve sufficiently to ensure that we will be potentially complaining about decisions in Celtic, Aberdeen games etc. and not decisions against Raith Rovers and Morton etc.
  6. Sloppy and self-harming are appropriate words. Far too often, we provide the enemies of our club, with the ammunition to fire at us. By this time in the day, some explanation for the confusion that has arisen, should have been offered.
  7. "even he............" What you suggests makes sense but as Ashley is a sore loser and very rich, regrettably, suspect that he won't let go.
  8. While pleased that the judgement has gone against Green, it is difficult to erase the concerns, emotions and anger that Green and the rest of the disreputable characters , have brought on people who wanted to be proud of a club that they were proud to support.
  9. "Thoughts of many others?" Suspect that there might be many others like me, who can't figure out your reasoning. Please share it.
  10. Does it matter what people like Mark Wilson, Tom English etc. think?
  11. Thought that Dado Prso was one of the most intelligent players who have worn the jersey in recent years. He was able to make those who played alongside him look good. He was no mercenary like some others. Dado always gave his all.
  12. It has been made even more unusual as Colin Cameron has been sacked. Whoever his replacement is will hardly have the time to make a decent assessment. As Berwick Rangers are part-time Craig Halkett presumably will do most of his training at Murray Park. I seem to think that this player was on loan with Clyde last season. I suppose the main benefit for guys like Craig Halkett to go to lower tier clubs is to get game time. But as Zappa has said a one month loan is unusual.
  13. Just feel that we are taking too long to assess his fitness. If we don't know if the guy is fit enough by this time, it seems surprising. MW said a couple of weeks back, a decision would be made soon. If people see it differently, fine, but I guess the strength of this type of forum, is the representation of different views.
  14. MW has done so much, so well but this Eustace business is becoming somewhat embarrassing.
  15. As someone who commendably was one of the first to identify that CG might not have been all that he claimed to be, just thought that you may have cut Ally a wee bit slack but never mind, it was Doris Day, who wisely reminded us the whatever will be, will, be.
  16. Totally understandable reaction, however considering that he had to put up with Green as his boss and all that entailed, perhaps even a modest expression of good wishes might be appropriate.
  17. Your expectations are entirely reasonable but sadly, they are unlikely to be fulfilled.
  18. I would imagine that the appointment of Campbell Dallas would have been discussed with Peterhouse Corporate Finance and it would be unlikely that the appointment would have been confirmed, if genuine concerns had been expressed by them.
  19. Considering the pattern of McLaughlin's reporting ever since he was appointed senior football reporter for BBC Scotland, it was very surprising to me that whoever took the decision to allow him back near the club, didn't anticipate that he would never change his approach. The benefit to our club in again allowing him access, escaped me. The same goes for the organisation that he works for. Does it really matter if BBC Scotland are excluded?
  20. The word intelligent is so appropriate. For me, it is reassuring that in both MW and DW, we have intelligent blokes at the helm.
  21. Don't think that we now have one overseas player in our squad. Looks like MW doesn't fancy them. Think the Brentford squad was made up of players from the UK. Can't see where Vuckik would fit in, anyway.
  22. Without a significant change in the personnel at Pacific Quay, I suspect that while things might be better for a few weeks, in the medium to long term, the approach taken by BBC Scotland to Rangers, will not improve.
  23. Just feel that it is important that we don't lose sight of the state our club was in only a few months back. We all know that those who were the so-called custodians of the club had no real interest in the welfare of Rangers. On the park the displays against Motherwell, who themselves, were a struggling outfit, underlined our poverty of talent. It is correct that loan players bring with them uncertainty but surely it is a huge relief that our new management team appear to be working to a sensible strategy in developing young talent, improving fitness and putting essential building blocks in place. If that necessitates making the use of talented, not the usual type of loan players, so be it. Some feel that it is essential to buy in talented players but when challenged to name such players, the response isn't loud. There are bound to be some mistakes made and decisions taken that might not be successful but if the people who have stood by our club through what has been a horrendous time, can avoid impatience, when setbacks surface, there does seem evidence that the approach being taken by those in the boardroom and in particular by those working with the playing staff, at first team level and below, will bring back the good times that we are seeking and deserve.
  24. The gap of the intelligence level of Warburton and Stubbs is coming across as the equivalent of the 6-2 score line, in the favour of MW.
