  1. In 2012, we all agreed on what is the priority. Many have forgotten.
  2. Lack of holistic thinking.
  3. People can protest when they want to. Statements are partly self entitled with little to no holistic or long-term thinking. Shareholders/board have made mistakes but have also financed the losses and most importantly, are at least focused on safeguarding the club from existential threats. I have no doubt that the fans groups would welcome wolves in sheep's clothing, again.
  4. You were on ignore for a couple of days. I wanted to see if what the CEO said had altered your opinion somewhat. I repeat, you are misleading yourself by omission by talking about the football and studiously ignoring the elephant in the room. We can all see that the football situation is currently very inconsistent or simply, away domestic form is terrible.
  5. Then you admit to misleading yourself by omission. "...Holistic..."
  6. What Patrick Stewart said yesterday WRT Clement was far from a comprehensive backing for the manager. He basically sat on the fence between the sensible and the hard of thinking opinions. This is a strange situation. As you allude to, there are other issues that currently trump the question of football team manager. However, the hard of thinking or those with different, more short term priorities may push this to breaking point. The bottom line is that we need to change the way we operate and wean ourselves off the addiction of losing money, year after year. Until that happens, no matter how much you shout about 'we are a club that should win games every week/trophies', we'll remain the Espanyol of Scotland.
  7. The entitlement and expectation is of little kids at Xmas. Get it into their heads that we can't suddenly turn a switch to go from an omnishambolic mess to being a consistently competitive football club. We need to sort the club out on a small budget. It will take time, if indeed we ever get there.
  8. Too many of the newer yins have never had a plot to lose.
  9. We are very consistent but not in a good way.
  10. On one side you have a significant percentage of the fanbase who don't seem to comprehend how important it is to sort our finances (Even taking into consideration an immediate drop off in match day revenue). However, ST renewals will have to be taken into account. On the other side, Clement isn't very good at press conferences. Has tried to tell the fanbase how it is but they aren't interested and now desperately wants the CEO to go public with the back story/context. Is it me or has Clement's English language skills got worse over his time at Ibrox? With or without Clement the road is long and arduous. - how much would it cost to bin the manager (and staff)? - what level of new manager could we attract given circumstances ? Cost? - what demands would new manager have so to have chance of competing? - WHERE IS THE MONEY COMING FROM? - how long would new manager get ?
  11. Is there a protest in motion here ?😂 Close the poll and you have Unamity II
  12. Question marks over Clement, yes. Bigger question marks over our finances? If we want to become consistently competitive again like the good old days (a generation ago) then we have to sort out the finances and the way we do business. Bumping managers and squad overhauls with money we don't have, .... haven't been working well for us. Lets see what the CEO has to say.
  13. Omnishambles FC Whichever direction you look it is a long road to nowhere. In 'normal' circumstances Clement would have struggled to still be in a job. But the most important aspect of becoming competitive again is financial. As we reduce the wage bill and try and set up a functional player trading model, inconsistent results and performances made a fallow season, probable. It may reach a point where Clement has to be taken out of the firing line. ST renewal time or a lot sooner if pressure keeps building and the players aren't responding. The CEO needs to have this sit down with the press sooner rather than later and spell out how he sees the immediate way ahead. He also needs to spell out the financial situation and it's implications on decisions because too many of our fans think that we can keep spending money we don't have. In the medium term, maybe the support will end up getting more than they bargained for when it comes to new owners. We Deserve Better was a slogan back in the day. If there isn't more consideration given to our financial situation then the next might be You Deserve all that is coming your Way.
  14. Fair play to Clement, he is giving the youngster a chance. Will be interesting to actually see the guy play his first ever senior match (I think). - essentially a dead rubber - ravaged by defensive injuries - best player suspended - playing two No.10's - no real speed out wide It ain't the end of the world and time to jump on the managers back if we don't win 0-5.
  15. If the reduction equates to about 4 guineas and sixpence then we might be able to do a deal.
  16. According to Soccerway, it is true. In the league, the damage was done at Ibrox. Totally the reverse to Clement.
  17. Last two league defeats at Dens Park were both 2-1 scorelines, both in 2017, both with Graeme Murty in charge. In between the two games was Pedro's short reign. Stat: With Pedro in charge at Rangers, we never lost an away league match. Seven assorted defenders over the two defeats to Dundee. Tav,....... Wilson........ McCrorie......D.John Tav,....... Kiernan...... Hill,...........Hodson
  18. In summary..... The club's priority is to sort the financial situation and not let it become an existential threat. At the moment, winning trophies takes a back seat. Not that we stop trying, of course. Reasonable chance of a Scottish Cup this season. The sooner that supporters realise that there isn't a quick fix, the better. John Bennett more or less said the same. Whilst he is partly responsible, he was also correct in what he said. Will be interesting to hear how Patrick Stewart sees things.
  19. I'd rather have two dozen emotionally attached 'in a good way' than modern versions of Green and Whyte. If we are to become an attractive investment (other than to spivs) then we firstly have to get our finances sorted out. There is no immediate shortcut.
  20. Could do that, take a fortnight in Granada and then leave. All, before the end of the month. Like quite a few seemingly hopeless perma-injured cases, his Dad left Rangers and started to play football again.
  21. IF TRUE about someone on the board recommending Evans to Clement and the manager saying no, who would have leaked that and why? Who on the board is assuming a recruitment role ? Make a lot of noise about player trading model then go for 37 year old for 5 months where the majority of games are essentially dead rubbers and the upcoming match in Europe is against the team who owns him, naw. Not for me.
  22. Inability to understand or acknowledge fairly simple logic and now, just repetitive and boring. You are going on the ignore list. Ps. No need to reply. I won't see it.
  23. There hadn't been a top flight hat trick in Scotland since May 2023 before Igamane struck yesterday. @Rousseau should award me 50 points in the predictor and I can make a start. A sort of joining in the January window 😁
  24. Not much transfer business being done anywhere. IF memory serves there was usually a fair bit of business done in the first few days then generally quiet until the last couple of days. It isn't just Rangers who have to watch the pennies.
  25. Richard Gough was SO much more than a "hardman". #thoroughbred
