    SARS being under investigation will have no bearing on the SFA ruling. That will still be rumbling on long after King and Murray apply to the football authorities. I wasn't implying that King would be breaking any laws, just that it wouldn't be a compelling argument for a new era of transparency.

    It's not totally different. There has been continual condemnation of puppet boards doing the bidding for others. While I am not equating King with Easdale, the situation that gunslinger proposed is little different.

    Are you happy with Sandy Easdale's role? If not, you really can't advocate King pulling the same stunt.

    The last thing that is needed is more farce. King can't threaten forensics looking into past misdemeanours only to then have himself take on the Sandy Easdale shadow role. As I stated, if they have provisional clearance from the authorities, all will be well.

    That argument is nonsense. Also, the rules at the time, which were a joke, have been changed since that time. Unless King and Murray have been given private reassurances that there will be no bar to their bids, they are embarking on along a dangerous, and potentially embarrassing path.

    You wouldn't be happy with 'generic' plans that we have all heard before, and given what we already know about secret deals for Ashley, how the hell can they be expected to give plans on merchandising? Unrealistic demands won't make any difference to what needs to be done first.

    The fans don't deserve to be told anything which could change further down the line due to unforeseen circumstances. What group would lay out their finances while engaged in a takeover attempt? I suspect that your nosiness will be well down their list of priorities at the current time.

    Putting to one side that there is a battle for control raging at the minute, have any of the outside parties been given the type of access required to be able to reveal that sort of detail?

    Thanks for pointing out something which hasn't been levelled at anyone on the RFB. As for your assertion that all fans are impotent, I beg to differ. Those who currently fund them by purchasing individual match tickets or by shopping for Rangers merchandise can most certainly do something effective.

    This is one instance where 'something is better than nothing' just doesn't work. They have no real power to influence as it is, but if they resigned en masse, that would send out a big message. I won't be holding my breath on that happening.
