So if the "leaks" to the press are to believed, Lampard and Muscat have had / are having a Zoom interview and there are "2 other" candidates in the mix. Hard at this point not to be completely underwhelmed by the quality of the candidates that have been mentioned and we're no further forward on whether we'll be employing a DoF and / or getting footballing people involved in the hiring process / running of the football part of the club. It's OK to say that things are / will be better as Beale has been removed but personally believe the club / board still has a long way to go until they can claim that the footballing part of the club is being run properly.

I don't understand the clamour for Neil McCann. A great player for us, a very good pundit, tends to back Rangers in his punditry but gived criticism when its justified, but failed in all coaching / manager roles he's had.

Having issues posting on the forums over last few days. When typing my keyboard locks and page / topic hangs. When I go back into the topic (Jukebox as an example), I can't type anything and can't edit or post! Any ideas?

If there is a delay in making an appointment, it would suggest those fans who are criticising the board for not having a succession plan in place are correct and this need to addressed as well as replacing then manager.

I said at the time (check back through the forums) that history would be kind to Big Eck. He consistently won trophies whilst having to sell his best players. He also managed to get us to the later stages of the CL where we were unlucky to be knocked out by Villarreal. When it all starting unravelling for Big Eck, there were demonstrations outside Ibrox calling for his head and finally he was cut loose. However, at the time, a very few souls understood that Big Eck wasn't the problem, but the custodian and bravely stood and called for boardroom change (and we all know how that ended up). Not saying that we are at that stage, but the board really need to get this decision right or the fans ire may just turn onto them. Appointing the likes of Lampard, McInnes or Kettlewell will hasten this. Board have a huge decision to make and if you believe in a God, any God, I'd suggest you pray to them to guide the board in the right direction, otherwise things are going to get worse for us and the board.

I hope the board's real preferred candidate is not on those lists and we're trying to blindside the press. Otherwise, it's going to be a rough next season or five.

My fear is they are here for more than a couple of games (hope I'm wrong). Given they've announced an interim team and gone full throttle on the interviews etc, it feels over the top for them just to be here for a couple of games

Davis and Rae strike fear into me - just can't see them doing anything to turn this around. I can see the logic of giving them a couple of games until the international break, but any longer would be a disaster in my opinion.

Isn't Felix Magath a shareholder? Maybe him and Souness?

Given we've had Steve Davis photoshoot and official Rangers media interview with him, am I the only one worried he is going to be manager for more than "a couple of games"?

Don't think I've ever agreed with much Simon Jordan says, but hard to disagree with anything in this interview.

He has been top scorer in Dutch league and in Europa Conference League. Obviously has something about him.

It would also be interesting to hear who is going to be part of the interview process / panel when we come to interviewing out preferred candidates........
