  1. We won't know until it happens unfortunately. Anything else is guesswork (on both sides of the argument). Theoretically, we could play terrible and continue to defeat the SPFL clubs outwith Celtic, then show up twice and defeat them. That would secure the league title. Outwith OF games, Gio has the best record of all recent Rangers managers, so in theory all that is missing, is beating them. Would there be any justification to sack a manager who won you the league no matter how "dire", or otherwise, the performances were?
  2. 2 points off the leaders after 10 games, qualification to CL secured and now into semi-final of the League Cup. Have we sacked a manager previously who could claim the above? We often say that player wise, you build from a position of strength, but with managers it's the opposite. Gio has the look and sound of a beaten man, but what are the alternatives? Would any other manager be able to get any better out of an aging, out of form and injury ravaged squad? We missed the boat after 55 and appear to be unable to release the funds required to add genuine quality to the squad and changing manager won't solve that issue.
  3. Went for Wright as he played well 1st half. One of the few who would get pass marks.
  4. Thoughts and payers with his family and friends at this sad time. Its been a terrible year.....

Looks like Beale is turning down the chance to go to Wolves. Better offer in the table?

Yeah I think I said at the time that Beale was worth considering as it was widely believed he was the driving force behind Gerrard.
  8. Wonder if Dolly will demand a 50/50 split? 😀

Looks like Beale is off to Wolves, look like we missed out by letting him follow Gerrard - fully believe we could have convinced him to stay as manager.
  10. Oh, that was Dundee? Thought it was Argentina 😀
  11. Who? There ain't any Barry Feguson's in the colts at the moment unfortunately. Lowry and McCann are the standouts but Barry Ferguson material they ain't.
  12. You know its bad when even Steve Davis can't pass the ball.
  13. That 2nd half performance was horrific - just can't see what the formation and tactics were. Thought Wright and Tillman were only 2 players who got pass marks tonight IMO.
  14. One way traffic without creating too many chances - Dundee defending deep and in numbers. Hopefully a few more chances and goals for us in 2nd half. Oh and winter is here, it's feckin freezing 🥶

An alternative view on how the season had panned out thus far. - We have qualified for the Champions League group stages for the first time since 2007. - We are 2 points of the top of the league after 10 games - won 8, lost 1 (a hammering) and 1 x draw which should have been a win but for some very questionable refereeing. - we've won 4 league games in a row for the first time in 2022. - We continue to suffer from horrendous injuries. Hagi, Helander, Roofe, Soutar, Goldson, Jack, Lowry, Lawrence (that's 8 potential starters) all still out and we've had Alfie returning from injury. Whilst I wouldn't be against Gio being replaced (but only with someone who would be seen as an "upgrade", the above are good / sound reasons for him NOT being removed from his position at this time. If we win all our domestic games between now and the WC break we'll be in a great position. If we don't, the calls for Gio to be replaced will intensify and may become too loud for the board to ignore......
  17. I didn't see the game so.cant comment on the performance but what I'll say is its a victory after a European game so I'll take it. On to Wednesday now!
  18. I'm not watching it and even I'm bored.....
  19. Gio has confirmed Goldson out for "several months" but unsure of full extent of injury and recovery, so not good news. Davies will train today and should feature on Sunday.

Interestingly Chris Jack has penned a piece today that implies that Gio is almost away. Believe Chris has the "ear" of someone in the club, so Gio's could be sooner rather than later.
  21. The Athletic reporting Davies had some positive news after his scan ahead of Sundays game. Also being reported Goldson will be out for "weeks" rather than "months".
  22. Head of Partnership Management or something similar. We do have some amount of "partners" so was probably doing a decent job. His social media posts were stupid - I have no issues with him being at Ibrox supporting his team, but club left with little option once the SM posts were distributed. Remember the days when Martin Bain said he'd not employ Rangers fans for certain roles at the club! I also remember Mrs Cammy dragging me out of the Rangers shop after I overhead two employees gleefully talking about a Celtic OF victory 😀

David Moyes the current West Ham manager? That David Moyes? You gonna pay his wages, as RFC certainly couldn't afford to pay them (never mind the compensation we'd need to pay West Ham)???
  24. Europa League is our level football wise, but financially we require the CL. So we'll take the circa £30M for 6 x drubbings. Gio would have been crucified by large sections of our support if we didn't qualify for CL, just as SG was last season.
