  1. At the moment yes, but one of them has already been sold to EPL for circa £16M, two of them promoted to 1rst team squad and all 3 of them have just extended their contracts.
  2. Think we have - Patterson, Lowry, King, McCann et al. If players show the correct attitude and quality, I'm confident they will be given opportunities.
  3. 100% agree - he looks to have potential but we won't be able to keep every player that shows potential. As long as we keep producing them.
  4. Looks like BB is staying.... https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd8zmn2rAGb/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  5. Kent's work rate is phenomenal and you are correct regarding him being doubled up on. Since his arrival he's be identified as a threat and dealt with as such. In the "55" season, we had the luxury of SG deploying Tav as almost a "right winger", and maybe a reason as to why Tav's stats are so impressive. I'd have Kent in my team every week as he'll give you 100% and even when it's not happening for him, he keeps at it. I like Scott Wright due to his attitude. He came to Rangers from Aberdeen and has adapted and developed into a Rangers player. His displays at the end of the season as testament to that. Sakala is a strange one - hard not to like him, plays with a smile on his face, at times looks a talent, at times looks like he's never seen a ball before. However, that's us to the coaching staff to develop him. We have missed Alfie and Hagi this season, Alfie for his goals and bullying defenders and Hagi as he brings something different, scores from outside 18 yards and excels in Europe. Alfie is our main striker, absolutely unplayable on his day. Roofe offers a different threat but is hampered by his injuries. Simply can't sell Alfie until we have a replacement signed and bedded into team.
  6. Hopefully OK to post this - The Rangers Review interview with Clive Tyldesley from sometime last week (Pre-EL final). Gives some insight into how he got the RTV gig during Covid, his friendships in football and friendships he's made durimg his time at RTV etc. Warning - contains some Stevie Gerrard content so might not be for every one....
  7. Sure I read somewhere today that we earned more getting to EL Final than we would have if we made the CL group stages.
  8. Goldson played every minute of every game (almost) we'll struggle to get that from any other CH. Given we can play 60+ games a season we need 4 or 5 CH. Balogun has experience and is a known quantity so less of a gamble and worth keeping IMO but not at the expense of signing a quality replacement for Goldson.
  9. We need to get better quality but given Souttar has injury issues, Goldson is leaving, Katic is out of the picture, a 1 year deal for Balogun as cover might be a good idea (don't think he'd be difficult to deal with)
  10. If Gilmour was truly wanted at Chelsea he would have been offered a new contract. He is far removed from being a regular at Chelsea, being loaned out to one of the worst EPL teams in history showed that. Him failing to become a regular at Norwich will have put him further away from becoming a regular starter at Chelsea or most other EPL teams not closer to being a regular. Gilmour may or may not come to us on loan, but I'll be surprised if is not loaned out next season or if hes a Chelsea player the season after that. Oh and if he does move on a permanent deal in this window it'll be for less than £15M. Gilmour is a great prospect, but that's all he is at the moment, a prospect.
  11. Gamble that didn't work out. All transfers are a gamble, some you get right (Aribo, Bassey), some you get wrong. It was a loan deal with Juventus picking up the majority of his wages. You can see why Ross Wilson took the gamble.
  12. You should apply to be Ross Wilson's replacement if rumours are true that he's off to Newcastle.
  13. It's a shithole (Hull not the statue).
  14. 2-0 Hertha- HSV being HSV...
  15. Do you know how long Myles Hogarth has left on his current contract? Both him and Budinauckas look decent.
  16. Possible away friendly v Shota's Hull according to local media https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hull-city-european-giants-championship-7111156
  17. Not directly related to 1st team but Kane Ritchie-Holser has signed a new deal. Seen him a few times for B team and has shown some nice touches.
  18. A modern day Ronald DeBoer wouldn't go wrong. Or the next Big Bert Konterman
  19. Soutter had a good game but it's worth remembering we played most of the game without a recognised striker. Gordon also had a great game, his save from Aribo gets better every time I watch it (although it should have been a pen). But without a doubt Bassey was our best player by some distance, but Wright contributed significantly.
  20. 1-0 Hertha - goal in 3rd minute.
  21. Agreed regarding CH, that's why I think a 1 year deal for Balogan wouldn't be worst move.
  22. I'm probably wrong but I thought Wilson stated prior to January window that we didn't need to sell and had money to back the manager. Given my failing memory, I can't remember if that pre-dated the AGM! No matter, I think the board will find it difficult to defend not giving Gio money to invest in the squad during this transfer window (be it money we've made in Europe or from a sale of a player, or a combination or both).
  23. Even if they aren't guaranteed a game? He's spent most of this season on the bench for one of the worst EPL teams in history. Can't see him walking into any EPL team at the moment. 1 year playing European football, challenging for league and cups will may see him get a better choice of clubs.
  24. Again, did you read the article? It has been suggested the Gilmour has been told by Chelsea he is not in their plans going forward. If he was, contract discussion would have taken place. If Chelsea do offer a contract to Gilmour to protect their asset, he doesn't need to sign it, he is nowhere near Chelsea' s 1st team squad, possibly told he is not in their plans, why sign an extension? Who is going to pay £15M or upwards for a player in the last year of their contract? If Billy is ambitious and wants to play for a "big team", who realistically buys him? Man City? Liverpool? Arsenal? Spurs? Man U? If not any of them, then he's taking a step down. He may or may not come to Rangers, but Rangers is a far better option for Gilmour and Chelsea than Leeds, Southampton or the likes.
