  1. Even a murderer gets a defence.
  2. Totally agree that is why they will be stealing everything off us next year as well. Remember we only have a temporary licence and that is for a reason. We will have the exact same fight next season and it will depend how deep Green digs his heels into the earth. The one thing is, he now knows the Rangers support stand behind him and he did not have that certainty last season. He may be more up for a fight next season.
  3. Assistant manager under R. Koeman at Feynoord. Gio will be a good manager believe me.
  4. Gio van Bronkhurst
  5. Directors or Manager in the stand I can go with you on that, but I feel the dugout is a different kettle of fish and a track suit is perfectly suited. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on that. I have to wear my boss's clothes in work which I am happy to do as it saves the wife a lot of washing.
  6. Surely a track suit is part of a football dress code after all the club sell them.
  7. He prefers to wear a track suit. Surely in this day and age an adult can make up his own mind what he wants to wear. If I thought for a minute him wearing a Blazer would help the team then I would agree with you. It won't and in fact a tracksuit may well do as it may give the players the feeling he is a part of the team. Are you free to wear whatever clothes you want to your work or are you in the old pin stripe and bowler?
  8. Maybe but keeping Victorian Morals brings that out in me, I am afraid. Lets get the players back into 3\4 length shorts and shirts that need to be steam pressed. That's the game.
  9. I don't see how I suggested that, but it just amazes me in 2012 that people get their knickers in a twist about a guy wearing a track suit at a sporting event. There are other things to worry about, and Bill Struths morals were based on life +- 50 years ago. Some will still stand but others are outdated. Och well off to tell the wife she doesn't have a vote.
  10. 1000's to be layed off at Ford car plants. Jimmy Saville misused kids count, up to 300+. 122 people killed by hurricane Sandy. And some are more worried about a Rangers manager wearing a track suit. Unbelievable!
  11. Why does Brown think we want to hear his anti-Green propaganda. I doubt Green picked the players Ally signed. Green may have closed the bank book on Ally but we may not be in the mess we are in if Murray had been more cautious.
  12. Thank god I live in a more up to date country than living with Victorian standards. Sorry! Just for the information Frank de Boers dugout clothes are sponsored so he is dressed by his sponsors. I guess that is unthinkable in Victorian Scotland.
  13. I suppose Gordon Ramsay also fits into that category although he was not really classed as a first team regular. I think you can say he has become a worldwide celebrity.
  14. Jesus, Struth was in a totally different time zone as we now live. Should we still be playing with a leather ball with laces in it? If you apply for a Job you are allowed to type these days and not hand write. You can go to funerals and weddings in jeans and a shirt. Welcome to the 21 century guys. On official business,I agree with a blazer and tie but sitting in the dugout, I can't for the life of me see why wearing a track suit is lowering standards.
  15. Edited the heading for you mate from Fottball to Football.
  16. He is manager of Utrecht. Doing not too bad but still seen as many as an assistant rather than No.1
  17. So they make him drive unprotected to Hampden and back and then hours later they have made his house into Fort knox, this whole story just doesn't make sense to me. I would have thought that they would be frightened of a car bomb and wanted to search his car before he drives anywhere. Lets put this straight the only people who have had possessions damaged in terror attacks have been Rangers players.
  18. It could be have been leaked to get supporters to buy more shares.
  19. I know if it happened to me and things had died down, then I certainly wouldn't be throwing petrol on the fire to reignite it. The story is a load of crap with totally no evidence to support it. If he did get threats as you say I hope they catch the people. It just stinks that out of all the journalists he could have talked to he chose Thomson who is happy to fill in parts with his own fantasy.
  20. Don't get him all big headed now.
  21. So the Police are going to let a man endangered with his life, cross Glasgow all the way to Hampden, then tell him all these evil things that could happen to him and send him back home across Glasgow. Surely if someone was so endangered the police would have driven to his home to secure his safety. That story is absolute crap.
  22. Peace offering from the SFA before they Fuck us of 5 league titles. Or have the SFA nothing to do with this?
  23. Surely you don't believe they just walked away because no terms satisfied them? They made their Own terms possibly?
  24. Rangers need to shape up Posted by John Gow Now that the Rangers are top of the league, it's assumed by many that they will stay there until the end of the season. This might well happen, but unless there is collective amnesia, the one consistent fact everyone knows about the Light Blues this season has been their inconsistency. Failing to win an away game in the league is an embarrassment, and although this can be rectified on Sunday away to Clyde FC, there is no-one running down to their local bookmakers with their mortgage payments, trying to put it on a Gers win. Of-course, Ally McCoist is not daft and knows that the team isn't doing what he wants on the park, but unfortunately his thoughts on the topic is not something he is going to spell out to the fans - and nor should he. So, while remembering McCoist is the Rangers manager for a reason, and critics do the business of criticism because they aren't good enough to be in the arena, the question remains: why does the Rangers management persist in seemingly pushing square pegs into round holes by playing some players out of position, and using a formation not suited to the personnel at his disposal? When they play a 4-2-3-1 it seems the players are forced to fit the formation, rather than the formation designed to fit the players. Sometimes watching the team this season has led to the question, â??do the players genuinely understand what they are trying to achieve?' Dean Shiels is widely recognised as one of the Ibrox side's best players, yet on Saturday he gave the impression of a man totally lost. Many fans were complaining about his performance, but it seemed he was unsure what he was there to do. Not quite a winger; not quite a forward; not quite a midfielder. And it's doubtful he is alone. To be fair, the Light Blues have a reduced squad, both in numbers and quality, from previous seasons and sometimes you have to make do with what you have. But there is still some scratching of heads in the Ibrox stands. Look at the right-back position. Sebastien Faure is playing there now, while Argyriou is playing right-midfield or is on the bench. To most observers the Greek had made the right-back slot his own and although he's no Gary Stevens, he seems efficient and makes the occasional good run, as can be seen by his pass to Dean Shiels for Rangers second against Motherwell in the Cup. Faure by contrast, seems slower and less able in the position - which isn't surprising since he's a centre-half. Another example is Andy Little playing in midfield. Okay, he's been out for a while with an injury, but when he was fit he couldn't stop scoring, yet he was pushed out wide on the right. He's not bad there, but he's a much better striker as can be seen by his phenomenal impact last Saturday, when his presence up-front changed the game instantaneously. Not only does the team shape seem to force the management to have players out of position, but it reduces goalscoring chances by having only one striker and forcing everyone into the middle. It's doubtful it's supposed to do that, but that is the end result. Even worse, it's also completely unnecessary considering Rangers are in Division Three. Flooding the midfield might be understandable against SPL opposition like the 'Well or Inverness Caley Thistle, but if Rangers can't play a solid 4-4-2 in the fourth-tier of Scottish football then they would be as well giving up. More complicated isn't always better. Sometimes putting players in their proper positions and playing a style and formation they understand is more than sufficient.
  25. The Rangers support would never have accepted them at that point, or possibly even now. If they can get the club into a saleable position then they get their money back with a possible profit.
