No i talk more sense. Funny enough i have kept my Glaswegian accent even after almost 30 years abroad. Jesus i was going to say 20 years and just realised it is almost 30 years. I would hate to have a plastic Denis Law accent.

Cal that is called getting the ball back so you can attack. All top teams play like that. Man u Liverpool. If you haven't got the ball you can't score. That is dominating games, like we should be able to do in the SPL instead of camping on our own 18 yard box i can't get your drift on this one Cal. Sorry.

Rangers must axe Barry Ferguson before they blow chance of winning title

I totally agree with you on your last sentence that we have to play attackers in their proper positions. The whole problem lies on how the team is set up. Three holding players in midfield is stifling for everyone. A 4-5-1 has to break quickly into 4-3-3 otherwise it is a total waste of time. Unless you are hoping for a break rather than making it happen. -
Have you lost the plot cal? Putting pressure high up the field is not negative but extremely positive. If you do not have good players to do it you will be passed by as scotland were in the 5-1 defeat against Holland in Amsterdam. Pressurising early keeps the opponents in their own half and when you force the mistake you still have players in an advanced position. Letting eleven players drop back into their own half is positive for you. You completely confuse me on this one.

Personally i have always said a manager should be judged over a three year period. I still honestly believe PLG would have got it right(as he seems to have done at PSG) if given the time and backing. I have seen with Rangers on more occasions that the players make or break the manager. Advocaat, lost the dressing room. McLiesh lost the dressing room. PLG lost the dressing room. Even this season at Feynoord and PSV, they had their managers sacked because the players just would not play for them. Mostly this is caused by a clique who disrupt the dressing room by constant moaning. Sound familiar? Remember Fergie(Alex) kicking Paul Ince out. Everyone thought he was crazy. Paul Ince was the dressing room moaner and no matter how good a player you are if you are having a negative influence then you have to go. Le Guen saw that with Barry Fergie but unfortunately was not up to the fight and got no backing from DM

That bandit Taylor has been reading my posts. i don't think i need to give my view on this one as it is what i have been saying for years. Oh yeh we should remember Brave Barry is fighting on with an injury. Is he not? Frankie how can Mendes play good football with Fergie,Davis and McCulloch on the same line or behind him and only Kenny Miller in a forward position to pass to. I have always said give Rangers a good player and we will ruin him. Smith is better than most at doing it. -
Steve McClaren! Doing fantastic at Twente. The players love him,the press love him and his team are probably the fittest team in Holland. While he has the fittest team(work rate) Twente have hardly had any serious injuries all season. He was given the England job because he was known as a great coach and his failure at International level doesn't mean he is not a good club coach. I am sure he would jump at a chance to go back to Britain but he may hold out for a premiership job. A lack of financial backing is also going to influence any new manager coming in but Twente while in the black don't spend millions on players either.

A change seems to be helping Inverness caley. It would seem a manager with a more positive outlook can make a difference.

I don't want to see the back of Walter Smith either. I also don't want to see his front, his side or any other part of him at Ibrox. As for Boyd unfortunately 500.000 looks more likely than 4 million now. Agree with Cammy i will not be crying when he goes. As for Fergie disagree totally with Cammy, for me he can hold Boyds 6 fingers as they walk out the door. As for Mendes making a forward pass. Well maybe if he had players in front of him he could pass to he could do it. Looking up and seeing Kenny Miller with three Celtic shirts about him doesn't really give much confidence to pass it forward. Agree totally that Kevin Thomson is the player we miss the most.
-
Walter won't chuck in the towel, his ego is too big for that. A move upstairs and McCoist taking over is probably on the cards for 2010-2011. I hope to god i am wrong and he leaves. Ally can stay for me but just as an assistant coach he is no where near being in the position of being Rangers manager.
-
I can't disagree with much of that. In fact i can't disagree with any of it. The common denominator in is Smith must go and preferably sooner rather than later.
-
We are going further back than where we started. PLG had at least a long term game plan. PLG spent a fraction of the money on the players he brought in and at least Sebo got a game. Velicka ? Smith has no long term game plan and his short term one doesn't seem to be working very well either.
-
Agree fully Gribz and to put it into a few words. Total mismanagement! Walter Smith has to spearhead the clear out. He has to go. I would prefer he went now, to be honest but that won't happen. Unfortunately i fear it will be more of the same next season.
-
Heard it once although i wasn't sure if it was a tim wind up to be honest. We need to get it back on the repertoire that is for sure. I must admit i won't be sorry to see it with feni@n blood changed to a more Rangers text.
-
There is no way a court of law can prosecute you for something you did not do so if the words are changed then the problem is solved. Up to the knees in ****** blood is the problem so let's get something better.
-
I have to give him that he does have a nose for a good defender. It is just a pity he puts eleven of them in place.
-
I would go for Nacho for an hour. His presence alone would put the shit up the defenders and stop them getting forward.
-
Agree fully, the money from the CL makes winning the league imperative.

Seat 1 row A In front of the telly.

I agree, he brings in a physical presence with tackling and movement while still having a reasonable amount of silky skill. I would drop Fergie for him any day.
-
He has admitted on more occasions he is a big fan and he was at Rangers most of his teenage years so i think something will have stuck. If he was carrying any malice towards the club for dropping him he would not have returned to make a programme. While it is good propaganda for him i have not seen this programme on the European networks so he is probably losing more supporters than he is gaining, as the green tainted Muppets will be sticking needles in their blue clad dollies. (Syringe needles probably!)
-
Oh yes i remember, he did have one day.
-
Yes a bit the same as Hutton keeps McGeady in his back pocket.

Gullit was never succesful at Chelsea, Newcastle or Feynoord and is a laughing stock in Holland at managerial level. Rijkaard failed at Sparta as a young manager. Failed to take the Dutch team to any great heights. Did he really do that well at Barcelona? Marco van Basten. Jumped straight into the national team without any experience and failed. Is struggling to make anything at Ajax and is only living on his name asplayer to be honest. Ronald Koeman. Only lasted a few months at valencia before being shown the door. He did win the league with PSV but that was more AZ throwing it away other than PSV winning it. As i say i would prefer he proved himself at a lower club first. Being a good player is no guarantee he will be a good manager.
-
I would still prefer him to manage a smaller team first. Not many first time managers do good at a big club.
