  1. I can only read that he is free to leave Ajax. No price is mentioned. 4 mill is far too much as he never played 1 game for them last year and the two years before that hardly ever played for them either. He arrived 5 years ago and did play regularly in the first two years. In the 3 seasons after that he played 1-8-0 games. personally i think he is far too lightweight for the SPL as he is only about 5'7 and skinny(140lbs). He is a good technical player but another injury worry imo.
  2. Well looking at the Gow signing our midfield will be : Davis----------Thomson----------Adam --------------Fergie------------- Gribz Jonc CammyF Frankie Jeffery Gomis-----OH yes here he is. Stewarty Pete
  3. canny be we don't buy them.
  4. I can't comment much on the guy as i don't know much about him. The one thing that worries me is that it is another case of signing a player that played good against us. That is an old saying running back the sixties, we only buy players because they played good against us. Another case of Walter staying within his comfort zone as well.
  5. The Dutch people are like Rangers supporters really, quick to turn support to criticism and vice versa. Possibly our Protestant heritage? Before the EK many could not wait for Marco van Basten to leave. Now he is almost a national hero Fickle i think is the word to describe them.
  6. Personallly i would prefer he went before the season starts.
  7. Lets not forget we have a mediocre player running the show in Barry Ferguson. If your engines a Fiat Panda you can't expect to drive like a Rolls Royce. We need a play-maker with a bit of Flair and imagination. The engine room is the area we need to improve most imo.
  8. One thing is for sure, SDM knows how to play with the Ibrox support. At every window he promises money will be spent. Then at the last moment excuses are found not to spend a fraction of what was promised. Alex McCliesh was promised money but then he was told he would be leaving and the money was to be kept for the new manager. PLG entered the frame and the first signings he tried to make failed because we would not budge on the price.(Julien Faubert and Elmander) The difference was peanuts which puts a question mark on whether we were really in the market for them in the first place. He was left a budget that he could buy a few donkey's from Austria Wien with, and then surprisingly said "I don't need to spend any more money." Bringing back Walter Smith could have caused SDM a lot of trouble but when he was coupled with Ally McCoist the support was won over. Walter was allowed to spend some money in the summer but in January his best player was forced out the door as Alan Hutton was told that Rangers would prefer 9 million in the bank than AH at right back. We then all sat glued to our computers waiting for the huge signing the money for Hutton would bring. We were given Steven Naismith and Steve Davis who was brought in on loan but yet again the big signing that was to shock the world just happened to fail at the last moment nd there was no time to spend the Hutton millions. We have been promised that last season was to steady the ship and next season will be the season of seasons where we take control again. Up until now we have gotten KM. A few players may follow but when the window shuts the promised millions will still be sitting safe in the SDM safe. A good excuse will follow of course.
  9. PS. Why should they risk their best players just to please France and Italy.
  10. I don't think they will take it easy but i do see them resting their best players as Snijder and RVN and giving Huntelaar + others a game.
  11. Bert van Marwijk is then the new manager and he is a donkey. Plus Qualifying games are different to the tournament games. We won't be a long way behind them.
  12. I do not think the Celtic connection is the big grievance with most supporters. Most people just do not think he is good enough. The fact that he played for Rangers and then pumped the Celtic badge made some feel he was a traitor. I think a player who had only played for Celtic as say Maloney would be accepted by most supporters. There are always some who would rock the boat. Most managers would jump at the Rangers job unless they are linked with one of the top jobs.
  13. Is he good at head-flicking on high punts?
  14. They are frightened you still have access Frankie.
  15. Fraser was touting him for a while as well and he was voted the most stupid user.
  16. I normally don't read Gav's posts. No i must have missed that one but i remember him mentioning it a while back. Funny Polis!!!
  17. I am surprised so many of you are bringing Boyd into the equation. Why are we being linked with so many other strikers if Boyd is going to be utilised:confused: .
  18. Have you joined the Polis?
  19. No chance Fergie will get a game with his rollator other than giving any of the youth a chance.
  20. Is Billy Davies the only other manager in the world then? Personally i have been questioning Walter Smiths Judgement since he was manager first time round. He cost us 10 in a row with his loyalty to players that just weren't good enough. I see no difference with what he is now doing. He is surrounding himself with players that are living in his small circle of knowledge. He only signed Cousin because he was recommended by Gerrard Houlier or Rafa Benitez. That in itself is no problem but it all fits into the same traits as he has in his football decisions, negative cautionary football. There are a few managers in Holland i rate far higher than Smith but if i had to choose a Scottish manager then it would be Mark McGhee as he has a far more positive tactical brain. Leveign and Collins also have the qualities to be good managers imo. I guess questioning Walters judgement makes me a bad Rangers supporter.
  21. Oh, so the money is the important factor here. Lets take any crap as long as they are as cheap as chips. Personally i would rather have taken a 4-5 million pound chance on Steven Fletcher or another player with the potential to bring in a profit. I fear Miller will only keep decreasing in value while holding a high wage. Just my opinion.
  22. Time to get off your high horse mate. You have no right to judge who is Rangers class and who isn't Rangers class. I seem to remember pages and pages of anti-PLG posts from you. The difference is you write three pages which virtually meant the same as the three words being used on here. People are understandably angry at this move\signing. You say you don't support individual players but the club. Well hey maybe people are making these statements for the love of the club and see this move as a downward spiral. In time the dust will settle and people will get behind the team as ever but every supporter has a right to an opinion. You may think that your opinion makes you the best supporter in the world but if there were only head-nodders and yes men, then life would keep going down one road be it the good or the bad road. Maybe you should take your, i love me blinkers off and understand that this signing has thrown up the desert sand. A lack of understanding is also a negative point.
  23. Bringing back misfits to a club never works. Bringing back Walter Smith never worked. One more year of hell. God help us! Smith and Murray won't.
  24. Yeh let us sign jack the ripper and the yorkshire rapist so we can make them look good as well. I don't give a fuck who he played for the prick is a misfit and a diddy. Get Walter to fuck as well before 9 in a row is a fact.
  25. Totally gutted. Just totally gutted. Get Smith to F*** and let him take Miller with him,,,
