  1. Tune=Dancing in Kyle. When the sun has come up on the green grass at Ibrox. And the game will begin in a while. Then we’ll gather together whatever the weather. To watch the gers turn on the style. Now there’s Boyd’y and Novo Sionko and prso And Buffel to make us all smile For there’s nothing so grand in the whole of the land as to watch the gers tun on the style. And we’ll dance and we’ll sing And we’ll cheer Paul le Guen For the Gers are the best by a mile For there’s nothing so grand in the whole of the land as to watch the gers turn on the style. The tims, they will sing of their green emerald island And the Jambo’s their old Gorgie stand When the Rangers supporters all gather together We know we’re the best in the land For we’ve Fergie, Letizi, Rodriguez and Smithy And Burkey to fly down the wing For theres nothing so grand In the whole of the land to hear Rangers supporters all sing And we’ll dance and we’ll sing and we’ll Cheer Paul le Guen For the Gers are the best by a mile For there’s nothing so grand in the whole of the land as to watch the gers turn on the style. :o
  2. GORDON STRACHAN is preparing to spend any Celtic Euro windfall on Hibs midfielder Scott Brown. The Parkhead manager will get additional funds in the January transfer window if he can steer his side into the Champions League knock-out stages. Celtic will bank around £3m if they progress from their group. They will earn more than £1.2m for reaching the last 16 and would also have a home gate and extra sponsorship revenue to boost the coffers. Even finishing third, and going into the Uefa Cup, would guarantee extra funds that they didn't originally bank on so Strachan, who didn't spend his entire budget in the summer, will be rewarded. Chairman Brian Quinn said yesterday at the agm that funds could be available in January. And the Hoops boss has identified the Scotland star as the player he would most like to add to his squad. SportTimes understands Strachan has asked to be kept updated on the player's situation between now and the turn of the year. Old Firm rivals Rangers are also known to be admirers, but Paul Le Guen might not have enough funds to come close to Hibs' asking price, which is thought to be around £3m. Brown is thought to favour a move to Ibrox over Parkhead, but he would be around familiar faces at Celtic with former Hibs team-mates Derek Riordan and Garry Caldwell already in Strachan's squad. Strachan is desperate to be the first manager to take Celtic into the last 16 of the Champions League, something Martin O'Neill failed to achieve in his time at Parkhead. And he knows the extra money from achieving such a feat could be put to good use as he continues to fill his squad with young talent. Celtic already look good for finishing in the top two of their Champions League section. Wins at home over FC Copenhagen and Benfica have put them in a healthy position at halfway. Signing Brown to the club would hand him a massive boost as he strives to put a Celtic side out on the park that has energy, determination and pace. The midfielder has been a huge influence on the Hibs side that played entertaining football under Tony Mowbray, before he quit to take over West Brom. Strachan is expected to remain tight-tipped on his plans for January as he knows there is plenty of interest in the player from down south as well as Rangers, but he is certainly on his short-list of targets. I would be sick if this happened. Hopefully he learns a lesson from Riorden. Surely if Brown wants to come to us we and we are interested in signing him, Murray will make the cash available for one of Scotlands best talents. The same should go for Gorden,we should go to all odds to get one of Britains top keepers for years to come. Come on Murray spending now for the future can create money not throw us back into debt.
  3. I think Hutton will keep his place for the first few weeks; though you never know with le Guen. Picking Ecks team was much easier.
  4. Go for it Jon, otherwise you will always wonder what would have been. I have often toyed with the idea of taking higher English, here in Holland, followed by a teaching course. Having a reasonably good job, the time i have been out of the learning curve, age, and trying to get the kids through school, talk me out of it. When i hear and see some of the idiots that are teaching English here, makes me nearly want to cry. Well i would probably have them talking with a Scottish accent.
  5. Jesus no big Joe!
  6. Don't worry Gaz he never learns.
  7. Sounds even more like it when you hear that they are in terrible financial problems, seemingly only a few business men are keeping them going. Who do they owe a large amount of money to? Yes the chairman Jorien van Herrik, who was lending them money at 12% interest. Seems not only Murray is out to fill his own pocket at the cost of a club.
  8. Him trying to sing the billy boys will remain an all time classic but on the park is where he really made his mark. I hope he gets fit and goes on for a few years yet though.
  9. And that is probably for having a piss.

    McGregor/Smith

I think he is second now as i don't see klos getting into the team to be honest. If McGregor does become no. 1 then it will save us a fortune in the transfer market.
  11. It played with me but opened under Quicktime player. Do you have quicktime player?
  12. I think the european style suits our defence better though, it is nearly all high balls and crosses that we struggle with.
  13. The big guy is a gem and no matter what gives his best. It is the players mentality on and off the park that makes a legend. Players who are more than 5 or 6 seasons at one club are few and far between these days so legends are now mostly short term legends.
  14. Yeh this was sung regularly in the 70's and if my memory serves me right the stadium became a sea of r\w\blue scarfs.Great memories.
  15. Agreed formations sound like your not allowed to move. "You F'n moved ya basket and broke the formation" More for skydivers i think. The important thing is movement off the ball and players defending as well as attacking. A team that can change formations the quickest will mostly win everything.
  16. A bit like selling your soul to the devil really. No manager worth his salt would stand for that. I remember the carlisle chairman\owner took over for a while as coach and was having training sessions with the players touching their noses because it would help concentration or something like that. The team went from bad to worse i believe.
  17. Shota has scored 3 until now but Shota also plays a big part in holding the ball up for others to score. A bit what of le Guen would love really. http://www.v-bal.nl/topscore.php
  18. A win will almost guarentee Euro football after xmas. Lets hope we do it the easy way for once although i said before the tourney begun this could be the most difficult game.
  19. Or is that 4-5-1;)
  20. I think there will be more than one player coming in so it does not surprise me that he is looking at strikers. Boyd obviously does not fit into le Guen's vision of the striker he wants, and as i said before it would not surprise me in the least if he was sold to a premiership team in january or at the end of the season. He has already brought in 2 centre-halfs so it maybe be that he believes he can coach improvement into them rather than take a chance with another buy who may or may not improve things. There probably will be a few players leaving in january and possibly Novo's good form at the moment is pleasing le Guen by pushing up his sell on price and placing him nicely in the shop window. All in all it coud be an interesting january sales.
  21. Not from the same source as Colshy's Alan Curbishly's arrival i hope.
  22. 4-0 for Ajax but it really could have been 10-1 for Ajax if all 100% chances were taken. Feynoord have sold all their best players over the last 2 or 3 years and replaced them with, well yes, Crappy lower league players. Just think that they had, Van Persie, Kuijt, Kalu,Buffel Taument even Sno and bought crap to replace them. The fans will be causing trouble there soon.
  23. The commentators and supposed experts said on the radio commentary(BBC) that Boyd should not be a first choice although Gorden Smith said he would always pick him. personally i would prefer a player who can score and hold the ball up. Boyds basic ball control leaves a lot to be desired.
  24. Larsson will not leave Sweden anymore, he went back so his kids could go to Swedish schools. He could have stayed at Barca if he wanted to but just wanted to get back to Sweden.
  25. The day's we pay 4mill for one player are gone. I certainly wouldn't put Healy in that price class anyway.
