  1. It's beginning to look more and more like we're not going to win this. If we have to start again i'm all for leaving scotland and applying for the lower leagues in england.
  2. Does a single bear want to remain in Scotland any more? I see no reason to stay in this dying, backwater, agenda ridden dive.
  3. This is a thread from Boss over on RM, who claims to have a contact who he's saying he's broken the confidence of with this post.
  4. It's just so ridiculous, and yet with everything that's happened, it's almost plausible. Could Craig Whyte be a tim literally trying to have this club destroyed?
  5. What happens to Craig Whyte? I thought he technically owned the club. I know he's not running it, but he is the owner. Wouldn't a sale have to kinda get his consent first...?
  6. It just seems to me some high earners aren't willing to make the sacrifice. And guess what, there we were saying what an amazing sacrifice, what incredible people! True blues! No, they're just normal men ruled by money, as most of us are, and the idea of losing 75% of their wage is too much to bear. Truth is a lot of our players will be thinking about themselves, not the club.
  7. You act like they have agenda and ego. They're just financial managers who are trying to keep the club afloat.
  8. This kind of news is why Paul Murray's bid not being for practically a week and a half is utterly, utterly useless. If he wants to buy us, he has to do it right now.
  9. Without Rangers Scottish football will die. And I'd be glad to see that happen now. If we left it and joined England. If we get through this in one piece and come out the other end, I will forever have a bitter feeling about the Scottish game, given the sheer volley of bile coming our way from everyone else. The only 2 people so far who have acted with any decency have been Mulgrew and Leishman.
  10. Not really sure what it matters if the fans support his bid or not. All that really matters is whether it actually happens.
  11. My view on Murray is similar to yours - confusion as to why he didn't make a move when he had the chance before, but the fact is he SEEMS to be making moves now. Perhaps he had very good reasons for not taking over back when he had the chance, we'll probably never know. But that all said, all we've had from him is media soundbites and apparent discussions with admin. Plus a claim that he'll bid around the time of the deadline. That confuses me further. But if he and his consortium save us from this hell, then I am not going to grumble. I am confused as to why he isn't putting it in now, and potentially saving redundancies?
  12. Yeah, we all said this a few days ago - that McCoist knew this was coming and got his comments in quickly - we didn't know why at the time but we did in the days that followed.
  13. I'd be naive beyond words if I actually thought Wylde left purely to save jobs. He clearly had something else lined up otherwise he'd have stayed. But at the same time his act of rejecting March wage (20 grand maybe) and taking no redundancy package (who knows how much) is to be applauded - that in itself already DOES save jobs and WAS a purely selfless act. He leaves with no ill feeling from me at all, and I hope he has a decent career from here on in.
  14. But Goian was never reported as 400k.
  15. But Gordon Smith said in his interview with RM that the fee for Bocanegra was 800k, not the reported 400k or so.
  16. We were never offered 9M for Jela.
  17. The kid couldn't sleep, and was living a nightmare with all this. He's potentially saved dozens of backroom staff from redundancy, and took no pay off nor March wage. Quite why he's being ostracised is beyond me. No, he's a 'dirty taig' according to Twitter. Initially I was horrified to see him on screen but I clenched my teeth and it turned out his comments were reasonable.
  18. The only bid we received for Wylde was £400k. Not pennies but hardly an offer we couldn't refuse.
  19. I can feel hate building up in you Zappa.
  20. Many bears are giving you abuse Gregg. Obviously the lad's not looked at twitter recently. Thankfully.
  21. This really is the bitter cherry on top of today's rancid cake.
  22. Told yese Davis was the top earner.
  23. The sad thing is our youth team isn't the best in the country. So it leaves our senior team seriously struggling.
  24. I'm glad that charity can suffer in the name of one up manship.
