All moot anyway, apparently he's just passed a medical for Kiev.
-
I suspect it would make your life.
-
And Saints make it 1-0. This COULD be a very nice SPL day.
-
I've made it a rule never to watch YouTube videos where I can help it. They always make players like Nuno Capucho look like Arjen Robben.
-
They'd sell for £8M. Eastern Bloc players are a fucking fortune these days, even the lesser ones.
-
We all know your manlove for Vlad Zappa He's not coming. Ever. He'll end up in some mid table Spanish team or such like.

So we have a new owner? Do we really have any money?
-
We got a new owner, out of debt, and after all the previous financial restrictions it seemed there would now at last be some money to spend on critically needed new players. Not just average players, but players to improve the squad and strengthen the side in key areas. Am I the only one on here who is a little bit underwhelmed by the amount we've spent and the players we've brought in with it? Wallace = £1.5M (our big money summer signing thus far) Goian = £800k Ortiz = £500k McKay = 400k Bedoya = £400k Bartley = loan Bocanegra = £500k Total = about £4M give or take. We seem to be in an average market, bringing in inexpensive players to increase the size of the squad, but very few players who actually obviously improve it. Goian looks good, Bartley is one who we know what he can do, and Wallace has impressed. But I'm just a bit disappointed that we appear to have had such astonishingly limited funds despite new ownership. I was hoping for maybe 3 or 4 squad players, and 3 or 4 (£2M+) really good players to genuinely enhance our quality. /rant.

I would rather someone else. Maybe I'm being 'lower league-ist'.

There's a Facebook page slagging him off saying he'll be back on QoS by January. Obviously a page set up by a tim, but I do hope Ally starts to get some rhythm and tomorrow would be a good place to start. We need solidity and consistency - his regime has been completely stuttering and stop start so far.
-
imho tomorrow is the biggest match of Ally's fledgling managerial career at Ibrox. Many might argue the lost £20m of the Malmo tie (although who's to say we'd have won in the play off round) makes that pair of games bigger, but tomorrow's match is against the premier league leaders who have not yet conceded a goal. Pound for pound we should be a better team than Motherwell, but we've been so darn inconsistent this season that I ain't just automatically expecting us to win. We've struggled in 2 out of 3 SPL games so far - drawing with Hearts, scraping to a two penalty victory over ICT. This match tomorrow will tell us a lot, if not everything, about how far Ally has come during the opening stages of the SPL, and how much of an understanding he has of our best team. He really needs a convincing win to get back on track after the disappointment of Maribor.

Has he signed anyone significant in the past 3 windows?
-
Championship Gav.
-
They're so far away from competing it's almost sad. Udinese must be the favourites for the second leg.
-
Scunthorpe United were a Championship team Berliner - that's a very good league. League 2 is basically the foot of the SPL.
-
All Liverpool in the first half. Arsenal clearly disrupted by...well...everything. Nasri their best player by a mile. No wonder City want him.
-
Rotherham United? What next, Bugglesworth Rovers? We're targetting League 2 players now?
-
There were mitigating circumstances last night - a whirlwind transfer at the last minute, flung into the deep end without a minute's preparation with his team mates, and beginning his career by flying out to Slovenia for an away game. How did he do? Well he had a car crash start, but seemed to get a little more solid as time went on. I wouldn't say he looks as impressive as Goian, but Dorin hardly excelled beyond words against St Johnstone in his debut either. I've seen nary a word discussing him, may have missed it. So how did you chaps feel his debut went?
-
You expect Ortiz to take over as the right full back?
-
I do love the bugger, I really do, but his finishing has been very hit and miss. He had a poor preseason, and while he's scored twice (one penalty) domestically his finishing, especially in Europe has been extremely inconsistent. His goal in Sweden was fucking tremendous, but his miss in the second half was awful. He's a top striker, I just wish he was a bit more consistent and reliable in front of goal.
-
We have a top class defender for 800k, tbf. But you are right, I think winger and I think Robben or suchlike.
-
I guess I just expected a winger who could beat players and be an attacking threat. He's clearly not that kind of winger. Nevin pointed out something I've been saying since he signed - all he does is turn back. It's not an especially constructive style of play.
-
So we've had 6 competitive matches in all competitions now under this new regime, what do we all make of what we're seeing so far? We've had 2 wins against diddy teams, one of which required 2 penalties. We've drawn twice against mediocre outfits, and we've lost to two mediocre teams. An astonishingly mixed match, no sign of any obvious consistency, and while it's early days, would you put more blame at the managers' door or the players? I do believe Sunday will tell us a lot about this team - we're up against the league leaders who haven't yet conceded a goal. McCall is doing a decent job there and this match will tell us something about the mettle of our team.
-
Can't agree foot, Lafferty is totally mince on the left and we've been complaining about him playing there. McCoist did not get that wrong at all.
-
Why not speed up the process?
