I just can't bring myself to predict anything other than a win every time and hopefully next season that will be accurate more often than this season. And also my tendency to go with Garner as FGS.
-
I think Accies can take them. Though that's partly due to being a born and bred Hamiltonian.
-
I'm giving Garner till Xmas before making a final judgment on him. I'm expecting them to splash around £5 million or so which should get us some quality with some good Bosmans thrown in plus with the return of Rossiter and Niko we could be looking at a whole different dynamic which may spark Garner into life. Question marks around Waghorn. Hopefully the new dynamic i'm anticipating may revitalise him too. I expect a far more formidable team for next season at least SPL wise. Looking to leave the others trailing in our wake. Think we maybe needed a season back under our belts just as happened the first year in the Championship.

Liverpool score in the dying seconds of the first half. Will they try to defend that slender lead or bolster it.
-
I can imagine how it would feel if were us in a situation like that on the final day.
-
Liverpool drawing 0-0 with 76% possession and 13 shots at goal with 4 on target. Something has to give and it must be a nail biting atmosphere there. As it stands Arsenal steal 4th.

[FT] St Johnstone 1 - 2 Rangers (Miller 40; Toral 52)
JFK-1 replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
It's a decent finish to an often disappointing season. SJ are solid top 5 and always hard to beat on their own patch. And happy to see Pedro being acclaimed by the fans. We need to get behind him as he tries to build us a better team for next season in a relatively short space of time with the Euro qualifiers looming. -
Ideally we will be signing someone too good for Wilson to displace when he comes back.
-
Really? Would I have thought they were miles better than us at Pittodrie just a few weeks earlier when they were beaten 3-0? Is that what you thought?
-
I randomly picked out an away game against a top 6 side in which we didn't win, 28th December 2016, St Johnstone 1 - Rangers 1 Possession: St Johnstone 39% - Rangers 61% Shots: St Johnstone 6 - Rangers 19 Shots on target: St Johnstone 2 - Rangers 5 One you seem to have forgotten pulled out randomly and there were many more like it.
-
When even the current team play to their capabilities yes. Who in your opinion is second best? The sheep we outplayed 3 times out of 4? And as for getting ahead of the sheep and still being 30 points behind that's not going to happen if we're consistently beating the rest. Then it comes down to the games between them and us.
-
As it stands all we need to tighten up this league is to put ourselves a level above the sheep etc and I don't think that's too difficult to achieve in the coming window. We will have Rossiter and Niko coming back into the midfield for free which all on it's own will make a massive difference. Even with the current team we generally totally dominated but were guilty of schoolyard defensive slip ups and failure to put away enough of the barrel load of chances we were creating. If rumours are to be believed we will be adding 5 first team players which if say 2 or 3 went into stiffening the defence with 1 joining Rossiter and Niko in the middle and another up front we will be a whole different proposition. The unmentionables were dropping points left right and centre last season and were totally outplayed by is in the SC SF. What did they add? Two? It often doesn't take much to massively change the performances of a team.

This would put Dembele out of the game. MORE; http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39962886

Man U finish 6th no matter what happens now.

Anybody got a link for a stream? I'm going to be at the vet with the dog at kick off.
-
Garner and Dodoo the tip of the spear? Interesting.
-
I'm actually going to enjoy this match without the usual nail biting over badly needed points. All that's at stake here is that we love to beat these even-toed ungulates about as much as they hate being beaten by us. All I want from today is a third victory out of 4 matches while the one loss was a travesty where we totally outplayed them and were robbed in the last minute by a shocking refereeing decision. And, if it doesn't pan out today well so be it. We have already achieved Europe. But hopefully we will see a team going all out at it with p45's being handed out on Friday to those not up to scratch. A last chance for them.

All things being equal Liverpool should clinch a champions league spot at home to Middlesbrough on Sunday.

McInnes: Slams Pedro Caixinha 'Your job is to finish above Celtic'
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Pedro has collected more points over his 8 league games in charge than McInnes has during the same 8 game period and that with a misfiring team he inherited and is set to overhaul. I suspect McInnes knows their days of running second which in reality was always pretty hollow while we weren't there are over. But he has to deal with an empty headed support who apparently don't grasp that there is no way they are ever going to be a real long term second force as long as we're in it. Rangers average attendance: 48,981 Sheep average: 12,806 Both of the Edinburgh teams have a comfortably higher average than they do. Heart of Midlothian FC: 16,419 Hibernian FC: 15,394 They're going to be struggling to be top 4 far less top 2. -
If one or the other of DU or Falkirk are coming up I would prefer Falkirk but as a Hamiltonian I want Accies to survive if they're the opponent. If I could have chosen Motherwell would have been going down at the hands of Falkirk.
-
Same thing will happen as happened to that 1995 team. The predators will circle and they will be looking at rebuilding next season. They have the same problem we do, big team stuck in an unfashionable smaller league.

McInnes: Slams Pedro Caixinha 'Your job is to finish above Celtic'
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
McInnes and Lennon too may as well complain about the media speculating on players perhaps moving to other clubs. Pedro is asked about Ryan Jack and gives a reply. Lennon is asked about Pedro speaking of Ryan Jack and gives almost the same reply Pedro did while claiming it shouldn't be talked about by Pedro. -
They had an average age of 23 as they shocked the footballing world in 1995 when they won the champions league by beating the mighty Milan who had been finalists and won the trophy the previous year. Their youth was perfectly illustrated by the fact an 18 year old scored the winning goal. http://talksport.com/football/ajax-remembered-dutch-masters-beat-milan-1995-champions-league-final-150524143050

McInnes: Slams Pedro Caixinha 'Your job is to finish above Celtic'
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
If we were to take Pedro's 8 league games in which he collected 17 points from a possible 24 and consider that an average for his team then if he had been there the entire season with that average of 2.125 points per game then after the current total of 36 games played we would have 76 points which is comfortably more than we actually have and 6 more than McInnes has with just two games to play. And I expect an improvement on that average 2.125 next season. In addition McInnes is actually boasting about being 6 points ahead of Rangers with just two games to play which could soon be reduced to 3 points? In a season which everyone including the media apparently agrees we massively underperformed and he's proud of that slender margin? As has been mentioned already it's absurd for him to complain of Pedro talking about the sheep when they are the next opponents and when he himself is talking about Rangers for the very same reason Pedro is talking about the sheep. -
McInnes: Slams Pedro Caixinha 'Your job is to finish above Celtic'
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The BBC gives it a different headline. With McInnes saying this. McInnes apparently finds it strange that Pedro talks about the next opponents in the days before we play them. And as for Pedro being embarrassed about the league placing why should he be? In the 8 league matches since he took over we have picked up 17 points from a possible 24 with just one defeat in that 8. While in the same 8 game run since Pedro took charge the sheep have picked up 15 points from a possible 24 with 3 defeats one of them a 0-3 hiding at home to Pedro. Thus Pedro has a better record than McInnes in the league.
