  1. Cheers mate. And what about the "threats" though?
  2. Is anyone going to tell us what the club are actually referring to here? If it is arseholes at the top of the club playing dirty tricks then a concerted email campaign from all online fans telling the club they are whipping up an almighty shit storm if they think they can get away with wasting club money attacking fans whilst ignoring the clubs real enemies Is the order of the day.
  3. Thread title looked interesting. Like dB first thing I saw was the Gibbons name so didn't read. Obsessed Celtic fan writing about Rangers again. Who cares what he has to say?
  4. Totally agree with this, Calscot and Gribz. Wonder if there's is a better balance somewhere though? Is there a ticket price that would increase attendance enough to offset the reduction in each individual ticket? The club want the maximum revenue but a greater total attendance is also preferable. As BH says all those who will attend probably already are.
  5. Breaking up the french contingent or just getting rid of the dross in our squad. Clement apart I wouldnt be unhappy to have seen them leave and Clement wasnt any better than Thomson. Letizi was god damn fucking awful. Woods, Gorman, Klos, Charbonnier, Niemi, Wattereus, McGregor. Letizi is a joke compared to them. One of PLG's worst of numerous errors. Favouring a useless player over McGregor who would prove to be a far superior keeper. Rodrigues wasnt the worst, but no great miss. The other two, who cares. Clement indeed wanted to go as soon as his father figures did. About as much guts and stomach as his manager. Maybe Walter was breaking up a french clique but i'm not convinced.
  6. We dont know Murray backed the players. Murray was reportedly prepared to back PLG if he wanted to stay but the manager didn't have the stomach for it. An equally plausible option imo.
  7. Won't change a thing. There are still a vast number of our fans married to the idea of PLG rather than the reality.
  8. I originally joined under my own name and eventually got bmck I think to change it. Didn't know internet protocol was to sign up under a daft or assumed name when I first came here. Naive. :-)
  9. Still dunno what a spiv is our where the name came from.
  10. c&P from FF Disappointing. Unbelievable.
  11. Bell Mohsni Jig Wallace Law McLeod Black Templeton Shiels Daly Little That's not a formation. Just a list of players in order of position who are good enough to play for most SPL sides. All the examples previously listed demonstrate you dont necessarily even need an SPL standard side to reach a cup final. Just a bit of luck and to bring your best form on match day. We arent as strong as we were pre-admin. Or under Eck, or Advocaat or Smith first time around. But we still have signed some of the best players from SPL teams. On our day with our first choice XI we are certainly a match for anyone in Scotland. Who in the SPL wouldn't be happy to have Nicky Law or David Templeton or Jon Daly in their playing pool? Only Celtic fans might realistically say they wouldn't take some of our players. And even then I think we certainly have a few who should be starting for them. This has to be tempered against the fact that even when we could call on genuine World superstars like Brian Laudrup, Gazza, Ronal De Boer or Artur Numan we still didn't win the cups every year. Morton last night plus any other host of results you want to highlight your point (e.g. us horsing Motherwell last year when they were battling at the top of the table) demonstrate we have a chance. But in cup football you cant afford one bad game. One unlucky match. It all needs to click every round. And even then with the squad we have now it might not be enough. Factor in that everyone else has not only more belief than ever that they can beat us (our team is fairly decent but even star players like Law and Wallace don't strike fear into the opposition like the players of yesteryear) but also that they are perhaps are ever more determined to turn us over and rub our noses in our current situation. It can be done. But it is not as likely as we dont carry the same superiority in player that we once had. Fuck me, how good would it be though to win a cup from the lower divisions!
  12. Yeh agreed. I'm just not a big fan of Shiels. Will probably score a worldy of a goal or get an assist every game but flatter to deceive for the remaining 89 mins and 50 seconds of the game. Based on how the game panned out, previous experience, the physically dominant but potentially susceptible to speed and movement defenders etc etc the best front pairing for me may have been Little and Clark and as everyone says play football and not Martin O'Neil ball. However, it seems pretty clear to me that McCoist will always play one of Daly or McCulloch upfront and have route one as a specific tactic. Not to say we wont also try and play some football but the manager obviously wants to have the option of going long. Frustrating, but if I dont acknowledge that it's going to be a long season for me.
  13. "It's not a penalty for me. It has to be deliberate hand ball". What do the rules actually state? Is the co-commentator just talking shit?
  14. Maybe Killie should try arranging a game against the only support in the country who travel in numbers?
  15. Jon Daly's biggest attribute is his physical strength and aerial prowess. Met his match in Marvin Andrews though.
  16. Assuming our statement is true how the fuck can the BBC get away with inventing that story. A frankly ridiculous proposition if true, given the cloud already surrounding the way the BBC report on Rangers. It is simply incredulous they would do such a thing and still pretend to be a neutral public broadcaster. The BBC need to shut down their incompetent, baffling and kamikaze Scottish arm.
  17. It would be good to see a different challenge.
  18. Go into the stores and request our gear!
  19. Yeh probably in truth. Though the incident Barry highlights supports the complete opposite. And he missed an opportunity to point that out with clear evidence.
  20. Potential to be a good column but he fucked it. Says more likely to get done at Rangers and Celtic despite highlighting an incident where a DU player gets banned for kicking out yet the Celtic player doesn't for also kicking out. The evidence is the chance of getting done based on team played for is: Rangers>>>>>anyone else>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Celtic. Also we don't want to see people getting away with fly kicks, dirty challenges and elbows. We often on here condemned Novo for example for a few stray and silly kicks. We just want Lunny not to be biased and also ban Celtic players for the many and often unpunished transgressions. I'm a huge Barry fan but that's a shit column really.
  21. Who says their terms are right? Why not try and change their view point. And is it "their" viewpoint. Or is it the media's viewpoint thrust upon them with an intensive propaganda war?
  22. interesting. Most people here dont see it as a big deal. Responses are fairly measured. Yet when you look at the online support as a whole people go bat shit mental over this. Agree with gunslinger that the important fact is that the player need to be competent in the "new" position. Yet for others it appears black and white. Everyone only plays in one position or else.
  23. Not his fault but he wasn't up to much. No reason to waste a wage on him when we had the likes of McAusland and Cole at the club. Waste of money.
  24. Not the first time he's suffered this is it?
