  1. I threw a load of my winning away on my bet. Was up for a bit as well.
  2. I was planning to leave it to the last minute as I'm the first to slag the SPL etc for announcing them to early. Was all set to get mine done and then Hibs decided to win a point! Bastards. Maybe a few others were waiting to the last minute too. Appreciate that makes your job harder, but think it would give a better result for the awards. Gribz PM idea is a good shout.
  3. Hopefully the 11 guys in blue and white in the middle of the stadium will be up for it from the first minute too.
  4. Have you placed it yet? Seen you can get 10/11 Gers -1 some places. We need goals so could be a bet and if we start slow like we did midweek might be a better bet? Don't blame me if that goes tits up though!
  5. Was intending to get this done, and then the Hibs game went and pissed me off. Will get it in for weds.
  6. True Ian, a major point that influences the way our midfield play that I did not touch on in my rant.
  7. I used to wonder about these fans who nicknamed him backpass barry or whatever hilarious nickname it was. The same people who champion Hemdani as a great midfielder when in reality he was best of a bad bunch who played an even more negative game in terms of ball retention. Now I notice Mendes getting similar abuse. I wonder would these two players; Fergie and Mendes, be more appreciated abroad where possession of the ball is something they strive for, not something to be scorned in favour of aimless forward passes. You can hear the fans on the players back at Ibrox if almost every ball is not a forward pass. I also notice Mendes playing in much the same way as Fergie does when in the side, and also Edu too if you keep an eye on him. Dropping deep to take a short ball from a defender as the midfielder (in theory) is better able to make creative use of the ball. Whislt the defenders should also be able to play the ball forward, it seems apparent to me that a number of top quality midfielders drop in to receive the ball and take the burden off the centre backs. Obviously there is a happy medium. And particularly this weekend will need creativity, invention and urgency in our play. However playing a forward pass that is not on, in favour of keeping the ball, just for the sake of playing it forward and to keep the crowd happy, is not necessarily a better way to goal. Personally I don't think either player is anywhere near as negative as fans make out. I think they suffer from playing in Scotland where we want to play from front to back as quickly as possible rather than probing for a more incisive opening. Mendes biggest problem currently, in my opinion, is not a refusal to play forward, but an inability to do so effectively. Edit: Not a dig at you Norris btw. Just a counter-arguement to what I see as a common misconception.
  8. Hadn't heard that. So that could explain it. Still wont be convinced til I see it from a more reliable source (changed days for the BBC?).
  9. BBC squad is often incorrect. Wil usually take the squad from the last game plus or minus an injuries/suspensions and returning players. Doesn't explain why Fergie is included but i'd wait for a more reliable source.
  10. Just over £300 up from that free bet from bet365. Though now have another wee bet on so that might change a bit. Will surely be having some fun tomorrow so expect to have lost it all come 4.45 tomorrow.
  11. That's a belter of an idea. Hopefully someone can oblige.
  12. Lol, true. It had just never occured to me to try it.
  13. Is this a wind up?
  14. I didn't know you could microwave an egg.
  15. This time i've not gone with what I think, more what I want/think we need.
  16. 6-0 Boy hattrick, Lafferty, Novo, Davis
  17. Whilst people might like to believe that, it is factually incorrect. If we lose the league than the extra points there, or against Aberdeen, or Motherwell, or the numerous points Celtic were gifted will have cost us the league. It's also true to say that had we beat ICT or St Mirren etc we would have won. However it doesn't change the point above.
  18. No worries. Not too much of a stretch to imagine that one with our badge/sponsor etc. Wouldn't be too bad an away shirt actually. Well better than Man U and England's recent efforts.
  19. Could you work your magic with this, the new Blackburn jersey, Frankie?
  20. I hate it went people say that, normally. The team that wins the league is the best team over the course of the season (barring Celtic's long list of officials employed directly by the club). Dropped points are dropped points, whether that''s in the first game, or the last. However, in this instance I would actually go along with it. Celtic have to throw it away now. Though I don't expect it.
  21. Been amusing myself with in play betting on tennis and football mostly. Too numerous to mention. No real pattern anyone could aim to emulate. As I say, lost a fair chunk putting a stupid bet on in the tennis (well only stupid in that the big fave made a cnut of it). But got some back.
  22. Prior to the nonsens posted above I was £80 down this week. Bet 365 gave me a free £5 off of which I have won £180 now so £100 up for the week. (Due some winners. Still massively down over last few months ) Cheers for the freebie though. Obviously could have been a lot better off had Simon not flopped, but recouped a lot of that now to leave me where I am for the week.
  23. Could make or break our season. After doing the hard work of beating Celtic in the OF and being 180 mins from the title, our current brand of bottle merchants didn't turn up til half time at Easter Road when we were already a goal down. Now, the title is not solely in our hands as it should have been. So yet again we are looking to teams to do us favours. I think it is best to assume Celtic will be too good for Hibs, will gain the 3 points, but hopefully not boost their GD too much. Should Hearts beat Dundee united this weekend 3rd spot will belong to the jambos and they will have nothing to play for on the final day. Not a situation that would suit us imo. I feel it would be better if both teams had something to play for on the last day and they make a game of it with Celtic. Obviously that will give the Arabs something extra to play for, but that is the situation our gutless players have put us in.
  24. Entry no. 3944946858 in my how not to gamble manual. Stake approximately half your winnings over the past 24 hours on Gilles Simon (no. 7 in world) when a set and a break up to beat Ivan Ljubicic (approx no. 54). Odds were rank and was just being stupid trying to bump up the odds of a wee bet. Got what I deserved I guess.
  25. Looks like some weird cermonially garb for an oudated military parade or something. Horrendous.
