  1. As I said, interesting to hear your opinion as you are perhaps the msot qualified to comment on goalkeepers, and it's good to see you hold him in such high regard too. Obviously he is not the complete player yet. But at 26 has plenty of time to improve and his recent performances for the last season and a half (although predominantly the current season) demonstrate what an improved and invaluable player he is too us. Craig obviously agrees with Walter Smith when it comes to building your team from the back, as demonstrated with Goram in the niar era. And hopefully McGregor can be half as influential at least.
  2. Had a completed version written last night, but will amend it after the effect of the internationals is known and put it up Thursday.
  3. Too early to post it up? Can wait til after the Scotland game and re-jig it?
  4. Just wondering if Frankie/Gribz want another Calscot-esque post for the OF match preview for the main site? Or would you prefer a more concise preview? The shorter previews seem to generate a greater response, perhaps as more is left open to debate. However with it being the OF response will probably be high anyway?
  5. There are so many permeatations that would be pleasing to us. As long as we get a victory and enjoy a few of these  .
  6. Should really start proof reading my posts though.
  7. Fergie was anonymous. I guess Dailly stood out to me for making several mistakes, whilst Fergie's contribution was less obvious due to his lack of involvement.
  8. If you could "write the script" for the upcoming OF how would it go. Realistic or dream land you decide. Boyd to score. McGregor to save a penalty and generally "do a Goram" on them. Boruc to drop another clanger selling a goal, in a Ehiogu kind of way only worse. A 3 goals to nil victory, with Barry to get one.
  9. Aye, it's strange. Just an off day I guess. When it's the exception rather than the norm I guess you let it go and hope they re-discover their form.
  10. Now your back care to throw you opinion out there Frankie?
  11. Looks like another customer versus supporter arguement to me. A topic Cammy has raised on here before and I have myself unsuccesfully on a couple of occassions. As a Rangers fan are you looking to be entertained by a good product first or are you hoping for a victory at the start of every game. I.e are you a customer or a fan. Many get upset that SDM treats the fans like customers. However many of those who sit in the stands at Ibrox behave as customers. I have no problem with people expecting better performances. We would all prefer that. However some of us are realsitic. We look at where we were when Walter came in. Lost the league by xmas, out of both domestic cups. A shambles who couldn't defend and couldn't win games. Walter prioritised(sp) our improvement. First and foremost; stop leaking goals. As others have said; if we don't concede we can't be beaten. That saw us as the best team in the latter half of last season. This year and Walter had to target a league victory or at least a real title challenge. That was objective two. And we cannot argue he has done that. 3 in a row for the tims is unacceptable for the fans and preventing that was obviously Walter's main priority for this season. Walter's rebuilding is surely ahead of schedule at the minute. He acheived what appeared to be his first two objectives whilst winning one domestic cup, being favourite for the other and having a very succesful and impressive European run. From my perspective; assuming we convert our strong league position into a title triumph, Walter's next objective is to combine a winning side with more attractive football. That will be Walter's task this summer, assuming title 52 is secured.
  12. Better described as a cult hero I reckon.
  13. Only Thomson stood out for me. Great ball winning first half. Making tackles he had no right to do so. Dailly was murder. About four times in the first half he hit awful square balls behind Broadfoot or straight too a Hibs attacker. However he's been superb in other games and hopefully will get back to that.
  14. Lol, now that you mention definitely not the best idea.
  15. Lol, to much detail there gav. These days I seem to work on matchday. Back when I had a ST it usually invovled getting a pint or two either in the west end near a tube station or on PRW before heading to the ground in time to hear the team read out.
  16. Lol, I like that Bluedell. Very funny. Police wouldn't allow it I bet. A funny idea which would never take off and i probably wouldn't really back. I assume your post was tongue in cheek anyway.
  17. People need to cheer up a bit. So many wind ups and songs have been used over the years. I don't see why every single one needs to be original? As R.B and a few others say, let's not miss a chance to put the boot in!
  18. Just Rangers and Scotland for me. Might look out for a couple of other teams but there result makes no difference to me.
  19. Excellent find, great goal.
  20. Think that would be a decent line up, but would also rest Cuellar if we can.
  21. Not to carry on Gazza's point and have ago at Fraser but I do get annoyed with lazy speech when it is no quicker/easier than the correct word. The point of slang/coloquialisms (sp) is that it is easier/quicker to say. So why do people say "sodi water" instead of soda water. Voddie instead of Vodka etc etc (Can you tell I have a bar job btw?). Sorry, but the ned weegies you get do my head in!
  22. Good column this week from what I read. Ruined it by claiming Boruc is a better keeper.
  23. Surely Frankie's opinion would be quite interesting in this thread. Seeing as of all the members I beleive he has the greatest experience of playing the position.
  24. Picked Leverkusen before the draw as we've beaten two better German sides. On reflection though, Sporting is a "good" draw.
