Outstanding defending.

Watching them again. The Whitaker video is quite simply outstanding. The commentator showing genuine excitment and happiness when he scores. A tingle down my spine as the commentator screams about us securing a semi final spot with that goal. Gotta laugh at Thommo v the tims goal too; in the related videos bar on the right hand side a tim has added a video entitled Kevin Thomson - Asshole which is a clip of his dive. Girut.

Good luck mate. Hopefully another bear will sort you out if it doesn't work out with tbh.

Like yourself only saw the highlights Jon, but he looked good didn't he. Unfortunate not to have a goal to go with his performance as well. Cracking save from the keeper, another shot denied by an arm and numerous others. Along with his assist and all round play. He wouldn't have missed the penalty either.

Not going to vote as I beleive the league is done and dusted and it's just a case of whether or not we can add the UEFA cup to that.

And in the cold light of day, or the cold light of soberness (nearly), I stand by that!

My wee brother reckons 1-1 Cousin.

This looks like a transcript of an interview broadcast by Setanta before the Dundee Utd game. I meant to bring it up then but forgot about it tbh. The stadium redevelopment intrigues me. Murray commented that he had meetings regarding planning permission so it seems it is definitely a goer. Could be part of a series of events that sees us firmly re-establish ourselves as the number one team in the country.

Shame that either way the company still get the viewing figures and are unlikely to do anything about the amateurish programme on STV.

How is it that only our own club employee has mentioned to spin some megative PR for us. No comments from UEFA or the usual hacks in our press yet he comes out with this?

Jus realised it's my turn for Sporting. Away for the weekend and forgot. Best get cracking. Will be up tomorrow although maybe not til after work.

The difference between this and the Pana tie is that I have a feeling we might need to get two to go through in this one.

Points 1 and 3 I agree with strongly. On your second point I have to be honest I say I am not fully aware of the plans of Walter and Ally, although I can see the scenario of Ally contiuing to learn his trade under Walter before replacing him directly in the future. However, I would not be suprised if events were to unfold another way.

Cheers mate. Whilst I could see our first post split fixture was likely to be against them, I did not expect the same to be the case for them.
-
Will Brown be suspended for the second OF at Parkhead, or do they have a postponed fixture to fit in whilst we are on Cup duty?

With fans like these. Frustration at performances is fair enough. Comments like these show a lack of understanding about European football and the economics and politics of football on this continent.

DOn't agree with that at all. That is effectively suggesting you need to "build yourself a profile" before you can be considered for the awards. In a season in which you are saying the best team has stuggled to have any outstanding candidates, McGregor must surely be included. It's player of the year, if that means best of a bad bunch, well that's the nature of the award. Not that I agree with your assessment of Mcgregor anyway. I understand you are trying to be fairly impartial. But how you can say Alan's contribution has not been significant enough when they have picked the likes of Mcgeady, Macdonald and Robson is baffling. McGeady played a couple of good games at the time of year when the press make their big pushes for poty, i.e the festive/new year period. It's what got Maloney both awards the other year. What you have to remember is that the season begins in July and can you really give the award to a player who couldn't get a game until November, played a couple of good games and always goes missing in the big games, e.g OF games. And on that point, McGregor has stepped up to the plate in the big games. McDonald has banged in a lot of goals. But as we found out with Boyd, being top scorer is only good enough to get you POTY if you wear the hoops. Look at the Ricksen/Hartson farce and Boyd last year for proof of that. Much like Robson he has not kicked a ball in months. And onto Robson, was he playing well enough to deserve poty even before he became a Celtic reserve? Certainly not better than McGregor or Weir, although his performances would get him more acclaim because he is at a smaller club. If those 3 make the shortlist, how someone can say McGregor has not done enough to deserve being recognised too is beyond me.

And there was me thinking just the sports writers' awards had no credibility. You just have to laugh at them. It must be the likes of Diamond being as bitter as our ******* press. Players better than their 3 nominated: McGregor Carlos Weir And that's jsut for starters. Nevermind the guys who are at the likes of Well and Dundee Utd who I dont see every week and have their respective teams flying. (Yes I know Robson was there til Jan, but if we're giving it out for half a season where's Hutton?)

That's the way it finished. Decent enough result for them going into THurs.

2-0 up on Braga at home at HT. Djalo with both in 35 and 37 minutes.
-
Playing with 10 men against the Sheep and still the better side who should've won too!
-
We now need 16 points from our remaining fixtures, 27 points still on offer. Obviously that figure drops if any of those points are collected against Celtic. Lets kick off with 3 more points today. Official site states we've gained 52 points from the 54 avaialble since our last defeat to the Arabs.

What a muppet, can't beleive he said that.

Can't decide what I enjoyed more. Calscot's first post or his second. The longer I watch football, the lonegr I wish I grew up watching football about 20-30 years earlier than I did. When football and being a Rnagers fan was about what the club achieved and now how pretty we looked while we were doing it. Calscot, Cammy and myself seem to be only a few who appreciate it this. And by rights I should be one of the greeting-faced customers of the sky-era who just wants to be "entertained". (Sorry Calscot if I assume you are older than you are.) I've said it again, a dour 1-0 jammie victory under Smith leaves me far happier and over the course "entertained", than the free flowing, passing, crap results that the likes of Le Guen acheived. Results come before performance everytime. When you've got teh first part down, you can look at the second.
