Irrelevant to the point being debated. Scot suggested Boyd should be punted as he's not a regular starter, often only making the bench. Hemdani regularly doesn't even make the squad.
-
You need quality players for filling out the squad though. Can't have a first XI and no back up. For the modest wage Boyd will be on in comparison to the huge pay packet another journey man foreigner will get for being back up his worth it. In fact I can't understand your point at all. Would you punt Hemdani who's hardly started a SPL game?

I wasn't too subtle there was I?

Spot on summary mate. Would not be overly upset if Ehiogu stayed to provide cover. Although conversely would probably not notice if he left with Broadfoot there and Webster due back from yet another injury.
-
The same could be said of Hutton and McGregor and Ross looked as promising as Hutton did initially, before being chased out of the club. Perhaps if these fans could look past there own prejudices and support the players in the squad, players who look to have some attributes would benefit and hence benefit the club. N.b This does not include Sebo who has never shown any likelihood of being a player and has ahd more than enough chance to show it. When your that bad you don't need half a season of regular games to prove it.

Aye but it was king who came in who was not fully fit and had not played all season.
-
BBC. I am shocked. Good summary of the first year under Walter though. Perhaps Calscot writes articles for the BBC?
-
I'm back online properly now so I'm free to do Gretna.
-
Aye, it's often the ones who came through the ranks. Because of that, regardless of quality and their value to the squad they're immediately expected to accept reduced wages compared to foreign journey men.
-
I think the fact he is our top scorer whilst rarely starting shows he is a valuable member of the squad and it would be ridiculous to get rid of him. Goals win games, points and ultimately leagues. I like Jon would start him. I certainly don't think he'll move in this window. With JCD perma-injured and Cousin possibly wnating away, with both getting on, that only really leaves Naismith and Boyd. Any team ideally needs two quality players for each position, so in respect of our squad it does not make sense to sell the countries best goalscorer.

Good article, where did it come from? Quite an impressive record too.

The point I was going to make. Madness to pay a suspect back up more than the first choice. Also agree with what Juff said.

Happened this season, possibly Adrian Durham on talksport and is related to comments like: and Carra lost the plot with calling the show, but if you listened to it his points seem pretty valid. Fucked about by the management bringing in players who've not played all season as cover when Terry/Rio out as an example. So he retires from international football with England looking more than well covered. Injuries occur and suddenly Carra should come back out of retirement. Were not some 50% fit CB's who hadn't played in more than a year to turn to first?

Up til about 30 mins in it was very even, Arsenal maybe edging it. Then Spurs carved out two quality opportunities for Malbranqe before the goal and deserved to be head. Arsenal didn't play from the goal going til pretty much full time. Reduced to long ball in the second half. Didn't deserve the goal, very lucky, nor a draw from the game. Didn't appreciate just how well Berbatov was playing until the highlights they showed just before the second half kicked off. he'd been involved in every decent Spurs move including the goal. Lastly, anyone remember seeing Celtic linked with Senderos in the gossip column a wee while back. Well tonight everything he did was awful, or so it seemed, atrocious game.
-
If he did go down there I'd love him to be an overwhelming success to ram your words down your throat. Never known a fan to be so desperate for one of his team's players to fail, whilst idolising players who shouldn't even have the cheek to claim their occupation is footballer.
-
Agree, ridiculous to sell the most natural goalscorer in the country and the most prolific at Gers since Coisty. Still doubt it will happen and would be a big mistake if it did.
-
Not playing and we have Smith in reserve. Let him go and hopefully turn a profit with a small fee.

OF game postponed to allow McGeady to serve his suspension elsewhere and allow the likes of the invisible jap to return from injury. Will the SPL postpone all our games until teh re-scheduled OF to ensure Hutton and McCulloch miss out through suspension.

Need to open a book on which month we think we will complete our 07/08 fixtures. I pick September.

Can't really complain if something that is provided free of charge, and by hardworking individuals who give up their own time and expertise, is unavailable for a time due to reasons not the fault of said individuals. -
Linked with WBA's LB Paul Robinson in today's gossip column.

Selling Boyd and purchasing Miller severely weakens our attacking options. As a striker Miller brings next to nothing. Would be very strange for these two deals to go ahead.

Good post Fraser. Wanna start another one saying they can go 5 clear on Tuesday?

Who and what round? Getting beat by a bunch of no marks is never acceptable. Losing out to three very decent sides, well now 2, is no disgrace imo.
