We need a manager who is succesful. That will only be reveales some time into their tenure but I have no reason to believe that couldn't be McCoist.

The worry for me is we lose to Wales/NI.

So the issue is with the second part of the phrase; bastard, and not the first; F3NIAN? :fish:

Wait too long and we might not be able to afford him.

Don't think that matters about Twente does it pete? Unless theor record means they too will be unseeded.

Rushden and Diamonds GK commits suicide.

For a fraction of second I thought you were referring to Rushden n Diamonds. Would've put a very different spin on your sentence. -
Hearts on a 6-game win streak and just three points off the *******s. The tims will probably use this restrospectively as evidence to fuel their paranoia and question why our game was postponed!

It's all gone suspiciously quiet atm. I think the general consensus here is I'll believe it when I see it. Particularly after the previous fiasco involving Mr Ellis.

Thought Russel Nash ran Erskine related things on FF?

Hand over to the RST for the gersave scheme? I'll spend a bit of time thinking of a genuine suggestion. Well done to all who contributed.

Rangers fail to shake off shackles of mediocrity

I don't make a habbit of following his, or other journo's work for that matter, just recognise the name and know his m.o. -

He's a **** cunt who always writes negatively about us. I didn't read past the first paragraph. -
Yeh, I agree that we played above ourselves, particularly considering our playing resources. I guess the "luck" depends on what angle you look at things from.
-
You could make a strong argument we were unlucky not to get more. Beat Valencia at home as we should have bar bad luck and our loss against Man U would not have counted us out. We would have gone into the final round needing a win and man u to win at home. Could have been oh so different. If anything I think we've been more unlucky again in Europe this year, though not to the same extent as last.

I hope it is as effective as our deals with Northern Spirit and Saszchuan Dragon.

Opportunity to extend the lead to 5. Plus we owe ICT one.

Cheers for the heads up Pete. Wont hold my breath though as I assume the other two have money to buy him though.

This has got to be the absolute definition of a slow news day.

Robbed off a quick thinking FF'er.

Fuck me, was trying to wrok out which Brown they meant. Didn't expect Phil.
-
No reason to suspect that. There's a lot to be said for consistency as we have shown in the past few years when not being able to buy much. Is it Scots in general or Rangers fans who are dour negative bastards? :fish:

Agreed, just seemed some were preparing themselves for the worst before it's even begun. Another thing to look at is the receptions Eck and PLG received. Whilst McLeish was hit and miss (more the former), no one expected much from the cheap option. Whilst everyone expected big things from PLG. Strange how those two played out.

Aye, just because he is the cheap option, doesn't necessarily mean he's the wrong option. Two good examples of cheap options with limited managerial experience: 1) Walter Smith 2) Pep Guardiola. McCoist has more experience as a coach/ assitant than pep did before getting the Barca job (he spent 1 year coaching their B team). And his promotion to the top job would be similar to Smith's. (And yes Guardiola played at a better level, but we are talking coachin/managerial experience here. The best players dont necessarily make the best managers).
