The site is definitely "quality not quantity" and I hope it remains so. The thing I like about the site , unlike some other fans sites, is that it does not degenerate into abuse and there are not 5 separate threads dealing with the same topic. Keep up the good work. I look forward to the new season with success on the pitch and informed debate on the site.

In the qualifying rounds and the play-off round, teams are divided into seeded and unseeded teams based on their 2017 UEFA club coefficients. Our co-efficient is 3.785. At the moment, 48 teams are known and we are placed 22nd top co-efficient. In total there will be 102 teams in first qualifying round. As the teams still to be known as lower down their leagues and cup winners, it looks like we may be in the top half of the coefficients and so I expect that we will be home in the second leg - 6/7. If this is true, I think it's unlikely he would want to come back to us, because of the way he left. That leaves Celtic. Whether Brendan would want him, I don't know but I could imaging the Mr Lawwell would think it would be a wheeze to welcome someone who abandoned us. This game will be a test for our players. There will be a huge media attention on them and all rangers fans will be looking closely on how they react. Will Morton have a go at them from the start to try to unsettle them or will they try to frustrate them? Rangers need to be prepared for both and react accordingly. The players have a chance today to show they care about the club and the fans. I hope they do and we show all those who wish us ill that we as a club will prevail. As Mr Struth said "no matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to overcome".

If we renew Kenny Miller's contract, are we doing it for his playing/scoring ability or, as is often stated by younger players, his capacity as a role model. I would have thought that the wages paid for someone who is not expected to play much would be less and so Kenny himself needs to weigh up what is best for him. If he is retained to bring on others, how long is this likely to last and as he is not playing regularly, it may be less likely that premiership club would take him later (and he would be a year older). So we might be playing games by not offering a contract now in the hope that we can pay him less. Kenny seems keen on renewing and he probably thinks that he can do a job for us on the park. If we think that his value to us lies elsewhere, what would Kenny's reaction to that be. He has to think what is best for his future..

Just as after a good performance it makes sense to see pretty much the same team in the next game, after a poor performance it make sense to see some changes. It will be interesting to see what what changes are made to defence and midfield on Saturday. I just hope that we get an early goal on Saturday to settle us down as I don't like to see the team being booed. I understand why some do this as how else can the team and management know how we feel but while it may help us to vent our frustration, I can't help think that it does nobody any good.

Malaury Martin asked Dado Prso for advice before making the move to Scotland “They enjoyed being here and said the fans, the atmosphere and the players were great. “It’s good football and the stadiums are full.” I wonder if Dado's tongue was in his cheek and he was having a laugh at Martin's expense. While Dado experienced great fans, great atmosphere and great players with good football and full stadiums, I don't think the same can be said for Martin's destination. Imagine when he travels to Dingwall on a wet Wednesday evening to a half empty ground, he'll know he's been had!

I remember at a game at Ibrox in the 60's (possibly against Clyde) he scored with a header!!. It was a big punt upfield by our goalie , which bounced high a couple of times and Willie nodded it in from inside their box.

I hope this is not moved as I've already got my train ticket. It's a bit late for Gordon Smith to realise that public transport will be reduced. This was obviously the case from the start when the SPFL were happy for it to go ahead. The police have not requested a change so they seem OK with dealing with any fallout. If the SPFL agree to a change, think of the message that sends out.

I don't understand how the SFA and EUPFA's policy on matchday incidents are completely opposite. UEFAs rules are clear: all associations and clubs are liable for the following inappropriate behaviour on the part of their supporters and may be subject to disciplinary measures and directives even if they can prove the absence of any negligence in relation to the organisation of the match: a. the invasion or attempted invasion of the field of play; b. the throwing of objects; c. the lighting of fireworks or any other objects; d. the use of laser pointers or similar electronic devices; e. the use of gestures, words, objects or any other means to transmit any message that is not fit for a sports event, particularly messages that are of a political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative nature; f. acts of damage; g. causing a disturbance during national anthems; h. any other lack of order or discipline observed inside or around the stadium In other words, had this been a match played in a UEFA competition, Hibs would be guilty for their fans behaviour and sentenced appropriately. Rangers may also have been found guilty for their fans on the pitch but their case of self defense may have carried some weight. Any punishment for Rangers would have been much lighter than for Hibs owing to the number of fans on the pitch and the violence of their fans towards the Rangers team. It seems ludicrous that the SFA as a member association of UEFA can wash their hands of any action . They may be an independent association, but you would have thought that the "higher" bodies rules should have some influence on the national rules. Obviously not. Meanwhile Rangers rightly feel aggrieved while HIbs laugh in our face. Truly a scandal.
