Ferguson will remain a mainstay of the team for a while yet. His form, while hardly first class, has still been a fair bit better than any Scottish midfielder this season.

I should be able to get it on the main site/newsnow later this evening... If not, first thing tomorrow am.
-
Boyd, Davis and Naismith were the only players who played last night...
-
Outstanding last night apparently... Get him signed!
-
I wouldn't allow my mum to blackmail me if I was genuinely ill. Don't got to school today but go tomorrow if you feel better. She will relent on the game anyway I'm sure.

No probs mate...

Gisabeer - you still up for it?

Countdown has begun to this event next Saturday night... There are a few very limited tickets left for the evening so if you fancy joining the Trust and a few of us from Gersnet at the Crowne Plaza please let me know so we can sort you out with a place! Just short of 550 tickets have been sold already so this really is the last shout if you want to come along. I can imagine the state of a few people now if we win this weekend and beat Sporting at Ibrox next Thursday evening...

http://www.rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk/rstsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=185&Itemid=1 Without wishing to trigger a sense of deja vu amongst the Fanzone's loyal devotees, Rangers won at the weekend without playing particularly well. I really do wish I had a pound for every time I'd said that this season. On the positive side, Thomson and Papac were outstanding, and Thomson's return to form could prove very useful with Dailly picking up an injury. Kudos to the Chairman for an excellent gesture by cutting juvenile season tickets (and the freeze on adult tickets was welcome too.) Scottish football as a whole doesn't do enough to attract the next generation, so credit where it is due to Murray for leading the way. Can't say I was quite so impressed with the gesture to buy the away tickets for Lisbon. The cynic inside me says that has been paid for and more by the over-the-top price rise for the home game. Still, overall, a decent week on and off the park. So, the small matter of the Old Firm game. While it would take a braver man than I to predict the outcome, I'm happy enough with our place and form going into this game. And after last season, that'll do for now! And, who knows, we may even be talking about the football after the match rather than the ref/fans/goalkeeper antics! How great would THAT be? David Edgar

They really are very poor places of football debate. Inaccurate claims, laughable rumours and very poor analysis from crap journalists and journeymen former players.

More refereeing stats for conspiracy minded Celtic fans...

It shows that he's had a poor season by his standards being played in this advanced role which negates his contribution for long periods. -

He's not been booked in the SPL. -
Apparently our 'chums' on the other side of the city are complaining that we've went 6 SPL games without a booking and our captain (who has played further forward this season and not that well) hasn't been booked thus far in the league. Conspiracy theories are abound and now it's not just Mike McCurry being accused of helping Rangers to the title. Once again, I thought I'd investigate these claims of official bias further. Let's look at this century so far. 2000/01 - Celtic top fair play table and win league 2001/02 - Celtic top fair play table and win league 2002/03 - Rangers have better discipline record and win league 2003/04 - Celtic have better discipline record and win league 2004/05 - Celtic have better discipline record but Rangers and win league 2005/06 - Celtic top fair play table and win league 2006/07 - Celtic top fair play table and win league So we have only had year with a better discipline record than Celtic. Aye, the referees are out to get them! :fish: http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=620&Itemid=1

Oops, sorry missed this thread mate... I am delighted with AM's contribution over the last year. More than anything goalkeepers thrive on confidence. Confidence from playing well, confidence from their fellow players, confidence from their manager and confidence from the fans. Even more than outfield players I reckon as a goalie can make one mistake and cost a goal. Over the last year the lad has went from strength to strength in this regard. His handling is first class, his shot-stopping getting better, his reactions good and the command of his box improving all the time. And he still has the best years ahead of him. Is he as good as Gordon? Well, he's certainly playing very well but perhaps needs more international experience before we can really compare them. In saying that Gordon hasn't really played at CL/european level so any perceived gap in that regard is decreasing. Overall McGregor is doing very well. I think he still needs to work on his vision and reading of the game but generally his value has rocketed and he's now worth his weight in gold. Probably our second best player this season behind Carlos.

I would play exactly the same team as we did on Saturday against Hibs... I'm still unsure about Davis on the right and McCulloch has been poor lately but I think they'd give us the best balance and solid outlook to nullify Celtic and win the game physically.
-
I'd say Thursday morning is the best time to post it... Takes into account the international games and any injury speculation.
-
I enjoy the more in-depth ones to be honest.... But both types are equally good. The OF one is guaranteed a fair response.
-
Papac to score a 30 yard volley in first half. Boruc to allow a Thomson dribbler through his grasp. Brouc to be arrested for gesturing at home fans. McGeady to be sent off for continually moaning at referee and kicking our at Kirk Broadfoot. Rangers to win by at least 3 goals. Please...

Dailly did make a couple of bad passes but he did well defensively and tried to get forward with the ball when in possession. Ferguson was our worst midfielder by far. His work-rate is disgraceful - injury or not. -
Beasley returns to Scotland in the next 14 days after his rehabilitation in the USA... He will begin light training then but has been told by doctors not to play again this season.
