Ah well, it was too good to last!

Funny, was taking the wee man to his Taekwon Do down at Broadwood on Saturday and was thinking the exact same thing. Hope Lowing does well, seems to be another name that's been bandied about for a few years.

Absolutely. The league has to be number one priority this year, no European runs to distract us and if the likes of Mendes, Bougherra or McGregor were to get injured against Thistle it would be a nightmare. No point in taking the risk.

Can't remember the last time I watched Sportscene. I liked it back in the 80's when you had a proper half hour of highlights from one match. No pundits chuntering for 20 minutes around 3 minutes of highlights.

With a face like his, how could you tell if Zander Diamond was damaged or not?? It's just the way the game has gone - 15-20 years ago, all the challenges Cousin put in wold have been commended as good centre forward play, now they are fouls. It's a shame the game is going in the direction physical battles are frowned upon.

Apparently it was a heart attack whilst out jogging. Played in O'Donnell's testimonial I think! A shame at such a young age.

Talk of Deschamps, Rijkarrd, Wise and maybe Steve Bruce or Davie Moyes. I thik it'll be Wise, at least in the short term. I was surprised he went back to Keegan in the first place, never rated him as a manager.
-
The way he's started the season, the big guy has earned it. Doubt he'll get a game, CBs will be Cockwell and McAnus, but at least he's in there.

Chimbonda, Malbranque and Tainio. Was wondering where Gribz was going witht he thread title!

This is when I wish I had kept on Setanta. Over to my dads it is!

Going by his performance midweek, it's not looking that way. Was a huge fan before he moved to Celtic and was gutted we never got him - but havent seen anything since to justify that. Thompson on the other hand played really well on wednesday and, although not been completley consistent, has been a good signing for us. Think he'll work well with Davis and Mendes. At the same time, delighted that Edu got his permit and looking forward to seeing him.

Quality 'alone' time :wanker: There are other websites than Gersnet

Fraser, the sending off was a second booking. He had got booked in the first half for crunching Broonaldinho. Speaking of the glaiket one, he was rank rotten last night. Wandering out of position, heavy touches, chasing players for retribution. I've seen him play well, he has got talent, but wee Chesney seems to have hammered it out of him. Quite enjoyed the game, tempo was better than normal friendlies and I thought in the first half Fletcher and Thompson linked well together. Thompson especially looked good. Havent seen any replays, but I'm not entirely sure it was a penalty, but I could beproved wrong. Great save by the Shagger! Irish fans were brilliant, singing and bouncing all game just a shame about the neanderthals from Parkheid way that were sitting around us last night. I'm convinced that was their first Scotland game and they only turned up to hurl abuse at the Irish.

Edu's permit decision is tomorrow. Thoght Davis did pretty well last night, playing in centre mid. Used correctly, he'll be a good signing.

What the hell is happening with Stevie Smith? Is he still injured?

Apparently the Davis deal has hit a snag, due to a financial hitch between himself and Fulham. linky-dinky-doo

Radio Snyde's football coverage this season?
juffery replied to 26th of foot's topic in Rangers Chat
I honestly haven't listened to Clyde since I moved through to Edinburgh 11 years ago. Radio Scotland do commentaries and, apart from the odd listen to the Real Radio phone-in, that's where I listen to my football. -
Educate me then. Persuade me. What exactly have people been expecting in the last season and a half. Yes, I realise that a lot of what Murray comes out with is bollocks. But who will replace him? He backs his manager with cash. He can't be held accountable about who Walter signs. He spent a fortune in the past 'chasing the dream'. He picked up the hottest managerial prospect in Europe at the time and was man enough to listen to the fans and accept that his appointment was a mistake. He appointed someone to steady the ship and it has worked. Would you rather go down the Newcastle route, changing owners, appointing managers that play sexy football' and win fuck all? So tell, me what are you protesting about and what do you want to achieve? How will it make Rangers better? Or, if you want, make a one-liner with no substance.
-
Yer arse!!! Lend us a tenner till payday!!
-
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what people are protesting at. That the club let Cuellar go even though there wasn't a thing they could do to prevent it? Walter Smiths poor signings? The Kaunas defeat? Murray? That the club got to it's first European final in 36 years? That we ended the season with 2 trophies after a few years with none? That we've made an unbeaten start to the league season?

Not sure where I am, haven't picked tickets up yet and don't have any plans yet either. May just drive through as I'm pretty skint.

McFadden isn't coming McFadden quashes Old Firm rumours McFadden joined Birmingham from Everton in January Birmingham City striker James McFadden has cooled transfer talk of him being chased by both Old Firm clubs. Celtic and Rangers have been linked with a move for the Scotland player, 25, who joined Birmingham from Everton for £4.75m in January. "To be perfectly honest I wouldn't entertain a move to Glasgow. I'm happy to be playing outside Scotland at the minute," said McFadden. "Especially with the press that's been going about for Rangers and Celtic." McFadden was signed by Everton manager David Moyes from Motherwell in September 2003 for £1.25m and scored 18 goals in 137 appearances for the Toffees. He moved to Birmingham after failing to hold down a first-team place at Goodison and was linked with a move back to Scotland after City were relegated from the Premier League season. Speaking at the Scotland headquarters ahead of Wednesday's friendly against Northern Ireland at Hampden, McFadden admitted he was unsure about his future at Birmingham. "I wasn't at Ibrox or Parkhead last week so that's how far those rumours went," he said. "It's hard to tell (where his future lies) but at the minute I'm there unless I'm told otherwise." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/birmingham_city/7568241.stm

.In my Football Manager game he refused my call-up to the Scotland squad as he was waiting for Domenech to call him up for France. Never happened!! . My missu used to share a flat with his missus! . Clarkson scored on his debut against the Czech Republic and didn't look out of place. This is the sort of game he shoulf be getting a run in. . We'll have plenty players back by then - I hope
