Around the time he was moving to Moscow and we were after Boyd, I was really keen that we signed him rather than Boydie. After his farce of a performance against the Ukraine on saturday, I'mso glad we didn't get him! Stewarty said it to me at the time, he probably went out to get himselfbooked so he didn't have to travel to Georgia. I think he's probably right. He's a fairly talented big lad, but definately thinks too much of himself and his attitude is rotten. Wouldn't shed any tears if he never saw another Scotland squad.

That was brilliant. Hoarse as fuck!!! Didn't think we actually played that well but we did the job. It's great to see guys like Mcfadden, Brown, Hutton out there in blue jerseys that are actually able to compete with the best in Europe when it comes down to talent. In the past we've relied on guts and organisation! Having said that, Big Eck - whata guy. I slaughtered him on an almost weekly basis when he managed us, but since taking over as national boss, he's been spot on. Tactically aggresive (Miler, McFadden, Brown, Pearson, McCulloch, Hutton - all attack minded players) and his substitutions and tactical changes over the last few games have got us 9 points. Well done big man, a Scotland manager and team to be very, very proud of.

We just shouldn't be playing one up front, at home, in the SPL. We've got a solid back 5, the supposed best midfielder the country has to offer, strikers coming out our ears. If you're gona play one up then surely Cousin, Darch, Novo, McCulloch, Naismith are all better at running with the ball, holding the ball up, chasing lost causes than Boyd. So basically he's 6th choice in that position. Against a team that's battling for top spot! C'mon Walter get a grip.
