Pretty sure it won't be anyone on that list. They're clearly going to aim a lot higher. -

Absolutely right. I remember standing on the terraces at Pittodrie in the 1960's, with no segregation, and there being no animosity at all. It went all to shit at some point in the 1970's when bottle-chucking and hardhats became the norm but it wasn't until after Ferguson gave them a modicum of success that their current sense of thwarted entitlement arose. They've fostered their grievance as a substitute for trophies ever since. -

When it comes to Rangers, the chip carried on the shoulders of Aberdeen fans has acquired enormous proportions. It's hard to know exactly why this is since it must be more than 25 years since their club offered any real challenge to anyone, let alone Rangers. I believe it takes its durability from the association with nationalism that afflicts a large element of their support, conveniently expressed as hatred for Rangers. Whatever causes it, they are the absolute dregs. Horrible fans of a horrible club. -
They weren't missing. It was clear exactly where they were. It just wasn't where Scott Nisbet was when he scored that uncontested header.

Porteous is going to be under rather close scrutiny in the LC semifinal -

I think there's very little chance that no one in our national football organisations was involved in some way. -

My Goodness, what a lot of anxious Celtic fans there are on social media this morning. -

The pressure to obstruct this case will be enormous, from the SNP government, the Catholic Church, the legal profession, the media and the football authorities. I expect some claimants may be subjected to unseemly comment, or worse, as ranks are closed around the cesspit that is Celtic FC. -
While established first team players like Kamara and Aribo did little to impress, it was Balogun and Lundstram who asserted themselves in midfield. This is the third time in a row I’ve voted for John Lundstram.

I don’t believe I’ve expressed a preference either way but given the goals-to-crosses ratio it might be more profitable if we tried other routes.

A fluke I’m afraid. I’m a perennial mid-table performer who’s run out of luck. -
Yes. I tend not to read shite. I prefer scientific journals and the opinions of well educated professional people. You?

I think you really have to separate the virus from the disease. As asymptomatic infection shows, it is quite possible to be infected and spread the virus without ever developing the disease. Similarly a vaxxed person who contracts the virus may show little sign of the disease but nevertheless be shedding large amounts of virus. There is no basis for assuming all vaxxed people can only shed small amounts of virus.

I'm sinking into a relegation dogfight. -
What do you mean by "it" - the virus or the disease it causes? Because everything I read tells me the vaccine makes zero difference to you becoming infected with the virus or passing it on, rendering the covid passport proposal utterly meaningless. What the vaccine does (like every other vaccine) is reduce your likelihood of developing the disease or at least a severe form of it.

Be honest, how many seasons are as straightforward as last season? Much of what I've seen this season has been frustrating but it certainly hasn't been the disaster that the comments of many fans would have you think. I think we did OK today against a decent opponent and if being top of the league after beating our main challenger is bad news then I think I can handle that. -

I don't think we've played that badly and there are actually small signs of improvement. If we could only relax and play more freely with less hesitation. On another day we might have scored a couple. Great opportunity in the second half as long as we don't concede again. -

For weeks now Tav has looked like someone with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Whether personal issues or otherwise, he would probably benefit from a few games on the bench. -
"but surely" the science is fully capable of taking that into account. I mean, I doubt it's wisdom that's unique to you.

Pleased and slightly relieved to see Nathan Patterson selected today. I hope he does himself proud. -

Given the pace Hibs have on the left, I sincerely hope we have plans in place to improve our defensive performance in that sector. -
I suspect it's now very likely that prolonged heading of a football will be linked directly to neurodegenerative conditions like dementia - and not just head-to-ball contact but also the many head-to-head collisions that take place in the act of heading a ball. I don't think it's helpful to try to cast doubt on the trustworthiness of research or scientific analysis before seeing it. That simply risks the accusation of prejudiced denial. At the moment the pressure is simply to give the consideration of serious research and initial findings do appear to support a probable link. We should all be responsible enough to reserve judgement until more thorough reports are published.
