Everyone has the right to move on and better themselves. I can assure you of one thing - if someone takes up the reins of leadership, they’re no longer thinking like an accountant.

The notion of 4000 fans getting into Ibrox has to be the least important issue for me as a Rangers supporter.

From a business perspective these accounts reflect more than just a mechanical compilation of numbers. Unless you view them together with the strategic business plan, much of which will necessarily remain confidential, it is impossible to judge to what extent they are a measure of success or failure. Since the annual accounts don't tell you about either our strategic objectives or the plan and timeframe to achieve them, except in heavily sanitised terms, I suggest caution when drawing conclusions from any purely accounting perspective. Accountants can usefully be compared to F1 mechanics. You need one to get your car ready but it's unlikely you'd ever put one in the driving seat.

What's refereeing coming to when red cards are brandished at a footballing superstar like Josh Windass? A toss up between corruption and incompetence.

I didn't think it was a difficult decision and despite a wide range of decent performances, Tavernier was at the heart of everything and gets my vote by quite a long country mile. There were times last season when he was rank but like many great Rangers player before him he has battled through the hard times, shouldered the disappointments and emerged at the other side as twice the player he was. One other thing - as his performances have improved and his confidence has grown, Tavernier has at long last started to look like a Rangers captain. I take my hat off to him. Otherwise, a mention in despatches for the two Ryans, both of whom look like they were born to play for Rangers and are clearly seen as key ingredients in Gerrard's recipe for success.

I thought a week’s ban would have been appropriate

However, although currently unquantifiable in terms of quantum or timing, the unseen element is the effective accrual of future profit from transfer income yet to be realised.

........ a receivable or a payable?

The difference between force and impact being what exactly? I'm clearly not the engineer you are but I intuitively see a difference between being struck on the head by a one kg steel hammer and a one kg sponge rubber hammer, both travelling at the same speed. If by "impact" you mean the speed of transfer of momentum then I don't see why headgear would make no difference. Motor cyclists seem to derive some benefit from this principle. I might even contend that it's actually all about the impact, not the force. No?

Much as I regret the change, I'm afraid its now inevitable heading will be removed from the game. Either had or protective headgear of some kind will become mandatory. You can't have loads of people with attributable demential ffs.

But since we have no access to those big leagues surely the difference is academic. What's unclear to me is whether any new multi-nation league would only have one membership of UEFA and therefore far fewer club entries to CL & EL than those countries have as separate members. For clubs like Rangers this would be a huge stumbling block - unless the new league offers far greater earnings than the SPFL, the loss of Euro income could be catastrophic.

Would that be legal?

OK I'm fascinated to see what I must have missed. Tell me when we ever made it out of the group stages. Did I imaging Peru and Iran. Or Costa Rica and Morocco? Eight WC finals and failed at the first hurdle each time. The odd creditable match changes nothing - in a results business we long since passed the stage where qualification for a tournament should be celebrated as an achievement. Wales, and Northern Ireland have achieved what we still haven't been able to. When we do, that will be the time to dance in the streets. -
He was a great Rangers player but so much about him since he left in 1998 has tarnished that status. All in all, since in all good faith I can no longer see him as a credit to our club, I prefer just to ignore him.
