Rumour: Alfredo Morelos has a pre-contract with Sevilla FC

I'm a little surprised there's so much debate about Morelos. The truth is he left Rangers a long time ago. I've moved on, he's no longer of much interest to me. -
I have to go for Cantwell over Goldson. Unfortunately, Raskin simply doesn't have a full 90 minutes in his tank, whereas Cantwell is still imposing himself after 90 minutes. Goldson was superb, Davies was composed. I've been a big critic of Tavernier this season and frankly he has been consistently awful but this time he made a significant and positive contribution. Barisic makes some great crosses but most of the time I'm at a loss to know why since almost nothing ever comes of it.

By good times I take it you mean past times. Yes of course but they're of little relevance to current or future times. -
Celtic Boys Club manager 'stuffed banknotes in boy's mouth'
Bill replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Give the poor man a break, it's not his fault. He's just another victim of unfortunate genes and a cultural environment that sees little merit in achievement. Or, to put it in a more general context, it has long been known that intelligence is normally distributed across a population, by definition meaning 50% of the population is above average intelligence and 50% is below average. Sadly, it's clear Humza Yousaf is nowhere near average. As the chart shows, Humza has sufficient mental capacity to breathe on his own, stand upright and wipe his own arse but beyond these basic abilities he relies on continual guidance and his own stupidity to get through the day. Perfect SNP leadership material actually. -
Nothing to write home about but as someone who has been critical of our captain to the point of wanting him dropped, it would be churlish not to observe that Tav had a better day today. Better, for example, than our other fullback, who consistently puts over beautiful crosses that almost never produce any product. Todd Cantwell continues to impress bigly.

I find it really disappointing that a guy who could have been a legend is slipping quietly out the back door and it looks like he only really made an effort when it suited him. So many good memories but in the end he's quite a flawed character and I think there have been times when the dressing room could have seen him far enough. It's time he was gone. -

I lost interest in Morelos some time ago when I saw how overweight he was. Any player prepared to disrespect Rangers like that has clearly outstayed his welcome, regardless of his past achievements. Just as long as he's no longer a Rangers player next season, his next club are welcome to him. -
Welcome Yuddie, good to see a new face on the forum.

Same as Ryan Jack last season .... misses a load of games before breaking down on his return to training and being forced to have the surgery that he probably should have had in the first place.

GPL Predictions Bluebear54's GPL 2022/23: Rangers vs Raith Rovers

I might be out by one but out of 13 games since New Year I make it that Jack has started 8 games and made a further 3 appearances as sub. He was on the bench but not used in one other game and only missed a single game at Livingston. Which are hardly the stats of someone widely regarded as a cripple.
-
Can't we have both? It seemed to work OK yesterday.
-
I watched the game again this morning and was surprised how much Ryan Kent was actually involved in. I came away with a much better impression of his contribution than I'd originally thought.
-
Many commendable performances but MOTM was clearly Ryan Jack. Jack always has the ability to play like this but has often been hampered his midfield partners. It's no surprise to me that the advent of Raskin and Cantwell has helped Jack step up a level. Both like to move the ball quickly and both have high work rates. His partnership with Raskin is particularly impressive. Some words of praise for our front three last night - Kent, Colak & Sakala - who must be our number one combination from now on. As good as he can be, Malik Tillman has a fight on his hands to get a starting place again. Finally - settled defence, settled midfield, settled attack.

I think I'm right in saying Ryan Jack now has 20 starts and 31 appearances this season, including 1 of each at international level, comparable with much of our first team squad and suggesting his injury problems are a tad overstated. He has definitely had his injury problems but still seems to be making enough contribution to warrant another contract, especially when you consider what he does when he is on the park.
