I did say 'Rangers supporter', Bill.

You must have a whale of a time at Ibrox, where about 1,200 sing regularly and the rest stick to moaning and groaning a lot. -
I think the main point is that it is better to have a Rangers supporter in a seat than to leave it empty.
-
The seat isn't empty if someone is sitting in it.

I don't mind Flanagan but our formation relies on effective attacking full backs and he isn't that. Hence our lack of success down that side when he plays. Hopefully Patterson gets a look in at Tynecastle. -
It's not about telling people what to do. It's about finding a better way of doing things.
-
People who leave matches early regularly should be refused cup semi-final and cup final tickets too. ?

We are far more predictable with Defoe up front. It becomes quite Warburtonesque. Hopefully we can be a bit more dynamic, in attack, on Sunday. -

There's little to prove. I believe in the spirit of football and sporting tradition. -

You can write endless paragraphs trying to justify it but it's just plain wrong. Football has been ruined enough by money men without supporters backing their nonsense. -
The only table that counts is the one at the end of the season. We've had a lot of false dawns recently.

Their chairman's tweet, which was clearly intended in humour, does not represent the entire club and fanbase, despite you attempting to suggest otherwise. Your original point about switching venues was in relation to a top flight club, not Stranraer. Your idea would render the cup even more top heavy, with smaller clubs having far less chance of making it to the latter stages - which would demean the whole thing considerably. -

I think Barjonas might have. I've been impressed with him whenever he has played for the first team. Murphy is on a par with Jones - two signings that didn't excite and I don't see that changing. We look a better side with the wide men playing far closer to the striker. -

I suppose we have you to speak on behalf of all Scottish chairmen and all fans of the diddy clubs, so what do I know. -

I disagree completely. It's the Scottish Cup, not a think tank for money men. First team out of the hat play at home. -

The romance of the Cup is alive and well then. Should we just start at the QF stage with the top 8 SPFL sides then? -

Where did you obtain this information? In recent finals we've had two second tier sides play each other, Gretna in the final etc. It's cup football, so occasionally we'll have to play away, on poor pitches and at small grounds. Take that away and it kind of defeats the purpose. -
Cosgrove on telling us about Irish clubs featuring in the Scottish Cup just now. ?

Either way, I think we have sufficient opportunities to pay respects, as supporters and individuals. When people are continually herded into paying tribute or respect 'en masse', it all starts to get a bit meaningless. That's just my opinion, of course.

I agree, that would be my preferred draw. It looks like we'll be playing them at Ibrox next season anyway and a spanking can wait a few months, if need be. Jim Spence looks like Postman Pat, with a ginger brush wig. -
I watched it and agree that it seemed dignified and worthwhile. I have a pal who is a Burnley season ticket holder and I recall our first conversation involving Ted McMinn. He hates Celtc (I didn't encourage that, honest). Rangers have our Loving Cup ceremony and a minute's silence for the Ibrox Disaster and I feel that is sufficient, as each individual is entitled to remember Bears who are close to them who have passed away in their own way. Grief tends to be publicly overdone nowadays, in my opinion.

I'd like to hear what Lee Wallace has to say about his Rangers career, particularly what happened after that match at Hampden. Beyond that, I find football players' tales about their careers to be generic, tick-box exercises. Some of my favourite players have turned out to be opportunists, with little interest in anything but prolonging the milking process.
