  1. A combination of John Rambo, Darth Vader, Travis Bickle and Bill The Butcher would be my preference.
  2. Plan B is the Willie Johnston vs McMaster manoeuvre.
  3. Morelos is a good footballer with the potential to be very good. Morelos often displays petulance and reacts badly to things not going his way. Opposition players know they can get a reaction, so deliberately wind him up. The referees have his card marked. I don't think anyone can honestly dispute these points. Acting like it's all his fault or not his fault at all are both erroneous.
  4. Quite a few Rangers legends had their moments of ill-discipline. Stein was before my time but he was my dad's favourite player. It's always great to see him and Willie Henderson whenever I'm in Bar72. Real Rangers men who had the footballing ability to match their gallus character.
  5. Lennon says antagonising opponents is "not a tactic I adopt". Rangers, this is the sort of delusional scum we are up against. Never give them one second where we are not at their throats.
  6. Apparently Wim Wenders took her under his wing in the early 2000s.
  7. How many football matches has Rod Stewart paid to get into, one wonders...
  8. Was his elbow on Brown a few weeks ago someone else's fault? The referees treat him differently but to suggest he isn't part of the problem is daft.
  9. Can't wait to see more kids in Barcelona tops.
  10. I think he's our best player, so I certainly see the good he does. I still stand by my comment though. He has done little of note against that lot.
  11. Morelos has done nothing much* in several attempts against the yahoos. Defoe should start. *Moments of stupidity excluded.
  12. The CL is set up so that the top clubs in Spain, England, Germany and Italy are guaranteed the income, whereas clubs from smaller leagues have to struggle through several qualifiers to get there. Although the football in this week's semis was terrific, the group stages are largely unimpressive. We'll be lucky to see Rangers reach the group stages anytime soon. That's another reason to congratulate Ajax on this season's terrific performance(s). We won't be seeing much of that if the money keeps going to the big leagues, where their TV/advertising revenue already dwarves what we get in Scotland.
  13. You're probably right. I always expect the worst though (the last few years has exacerbated this).
  14. I'd prefer an alternative thread title, ian. ?
  15. UEFA are pretty stringent with this sort of thing. The strips the players wear will almost certainly have to be altered - if that impacts replica sales, it's not good.
  16. It seems our new home shirt doesn't meet UEFA guidelines. Another fine mess... https://www.footyheadlines.com/2019/05/rangers-19-20-home-kit-not-allowed-by-uefa-kit-rules.html?m=1
  17. He's on the same path as his brother. Gutter press merchants who are bitter because they think Rangers owe them a living.
  18. But they play each other twice a season (at least), domestically. It was the same with the recent all-Spanish and all-German finals. Kinda takes some of the interest out of it, in my opinion. Hopefully the Frankfurters or Southern Iberians can pull a rabbit out a hat tomorrow night.
  19. Two all-English European finals are looking very likely. Of course, very few Englishmen will be in the actual line ups (or in the management teams). Although the semis have been exciting, the prospect of Spurs vs Liverpool and Chelsea vs Arsenal aren't exactly mouthwatering.
  20. It'd be nice to win at Hampden again.
  21. You can get the champagne in on Sunday then. ?
  22. It's always nice to see Barcelona lose. I recall us being linked with Origi (on loan) at the start of this season.
  23. The problem is, in the Twitter era, the ones offended get to decide what is and isn't allowed and sensible adult conversations about whether something is or isn't offensive get drowned out by the complainants. If a banner at a football match offends you, may I suggest you try to obtain a skin thickening cream. Or alternatively, just f*ck off.
  24. That was my mistake, not compo's. It being Brighton doesn't alter what I posted anyway.
  25. If there's one player I'd have wanted to score the winner for City, it would be Vincent Kompany. Having watched City over the years, it wouldn't surprise me if they drop points at Huddersfield. Mind you, I also wouldn't be surprised if Wolves get a draw at Anfield.
