An Aberdeen fan at my work was (understandably) jubilant on Monday morning. I refrained from saying anything until he informed us that the scorer was the son of a 'Rangers legend'. I felt I had to correct him there. Even he admitted that Aberdeen will probably get humped in the final.

I genuinely struggle to comprehend how you can listen to/tolerate these broadcasts, 26th of foot. I heard about 3 seconds of Dick Gordon's voice on the bus, after the match, before I shouted at the driver to turn it off (I wasn't alone in doing so). I could sense the joy in the few words I did hear and it resembled an Aberdeen fan show, rather than that of a national, publicly funded, broadcaster.

Last week was disappointing. This week needs to see a big improvement - 6 points is a must.
-
There was a guy behind me on Thursday night who bellowed "Grezda, you're useless!" after Grezda's first touch. Gerrard needs time but we're still allowed to be a bit miffed about losing a semi final to a sub-par Aberdeen side.

I said on 55 minutes Candeias and Sadiq should've been replaced. It was obvious it wasn't working.
-
Apart from the Maribor and Rapid matches, I'm struggling to think of a single 'big match' we've won since we beat that lot in 2016.
-
Coulibaly and Jack shouldn't be on the pitch at the same time, unless we're playing a side with better players. Tav should no longer take corners.

Here's a pic I took of the display.

Because Aberdeen are garbage.

It's a shame he seems unwilling or incapable of making tactical changes or substitutions when we're not playing well. He'll have to learn a bit quicker. Paying £25 to stand next to sheep who are singing about that tackle 30 years ago and then seeing them celebrate like that...I'm not at my most objective. I'm seriously hacked off with it. I thought our support was rubbish today as well.
-
The worst thing about today was that it wasn't a shock. We look a very average side. The scum will just keep winning trophies unless we get our act together. Manager made errors. Tav was crap. Our midfield lacks creativity and with Morelos out, we are toothless. Another shit season is upon us.

It's a bit nipppy but nothing unusual at this time of year. A couple of Bears on my RSC bus had shorts on on Thursday night.
-
To be fair, Sadiq will instantly enter cult hero status if he scores the winner today. Hopefully a Konterman style wonder effort but I'd gladly take a 1-0 win with it rebounding off his arse.

Our recent record in semi finals is dreadful. I'm nervous about today. Our players need to be up for it.

On this thread, I have learned that: Facebook is a reliable source of information. The Scottish press is a bastion of objectivity and impartiality. Jonny Hayes is a nice guy. I'd have been better off reading the Daily Sport. ?

Bates Being Chased By Leicester, Arsenal & Bayern
Gonzo79 replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
He was sent off last night (HSV won 1-0). Two yellows, so a fair decision. Hamburg seem to concede far less goals when he is playing. He's a no nonsense defender. Does anyone know if we put a sell-on clause in his contract? -
Where Facebook and Celtc are concerned, cynicism is absolutely essential. Both are untrustworthy, at best. Stories 'doing the rounds' = Chinese whispers.

If Arfield is available, I'd go with: Foderingham Tav Goldson Katic Flanagan Ejaria Jack Arfield Candeias Middleton Kent It'll be interesting to see how we start. McInnes never goes full tilt against us, so I see no point in being cautious and I'd go for their throats from KO.
-
I'd be tearful if my mum didn't know what a full stop was. ? And stopping kids fighting doesn't make someone a 'nice guy'. It's what any responsible adult would do.
-
I'd play Middleton through the middle, with Kent and Candeias either side of him. Will Arfield be available?

I'm going to stick a story up on Facebook about Anton Rogan rescuing my kitten. Just to see how long it takes for it to go viral. I'll kick over a few sandcastles while I wait...

I think a lot of Bears still like to keep up with matches via the radio (particularly whilst driving or at work). So it's understandable that they're miffed about the lack of coverage Rangers get. Particularly when Rangers fans pay the same licence fee as everyone else. It doesn't bother me because I never listen to the radio but we have to take into account Rangers fans using various media platforms and all having their own circumstances to contend with. I don't see Rangers FC or Pacific Quay CSC resolving this issue. Only two things will resolve it - a licence fee boycott (threat or action) from a sizeable number of us or BBC HQ in England stepping in and sorting it out. I can't see either of these things happening.

Are people seriously angry at Rangers for this situation? The mind boggles.
