  1. No, I'll be using the proceeds to go on a world cruise during the close season, that's if Mark allows it of course.
  2. Alan, in 2010 I did believe it was possible but events since have made me sceptical. Nobody would be happier than me if there are 20,000 willing to sign up. As for SDS, I know their remit and perhaps they should stop charging trusts a membership fee.
  3. Anyone wanting a night out on 12th April come to the RST Dinner at the Crowne Plaza. We are re-living Helicopter Sunday and have Alex McLeish and Nacho Novo as special guests. If you can get 10 people I can give you a ticket for £45 each.
  4. I'm not going to bad mouth this as it was the route that the RST was going to take. I did, however, with all the talk of openness and transparency, find it odd that there was no mention made of the fact that a group within the room had been working on this with SDS since last June - a couple of them even asked questions. Even though I support the principle, I just can't see anything like 20,000 signing up for this no matter who tells them it's good. Even in a time of crisis, and with Walter and Ally behind it, the RFFF only raised just over £500,000, and £100,000 of that was from the Red and Black scarves. If we were in a situation like Hearts then we may be able to do something but we aren't. Getting fans to stump up money isn't easy. Will they buy into what, at the moment is a concept, I'm not convinced. This is from someone who is totally committed to fan ownership.
  5. It was a dilemma for us too Derek. You know what it's like, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Dave King advised us to wait for the inevitable share issue but, after seeking advice from others, we went ahead as we were being accused of holding on to other people's money.
  6. Where have I given my 'side' in this? I've already said I would not comment but others are playing a bit fast and loose with what they present as facts here so maybe I will comment. As for comparing us and the Foundation of Hearts it is laughable. It would be more appropriate to compare it to the RFFF than the RST.
  7. Frankie, if you don't mind I'd rather not comment at this stage. TWWC is a nice guy who I got to know from giving him a lift home from meetings. Having said that, he only joined the Board in October and this project had been going since May so he may not be in possession of all the facts. I will probably be going to the meeting and will see what is said.
  8. I think you may be talking about different things. The Club want a 12 person fans board fronted by a Rangers employee/ ambassasdor.
  9. Derek, there hasn't been any attempt to hide who is on the board, certainly not as far as I know. In fact when you first brought it up and I discovered the names weren't on it I suggested we all do a blurb about ourselves, background, qualifications etc. but some weren't happy about that so it didn't happen. I don't think the site is very user friendly in all honesty and it will be getting a major re-vamp soon. You need to go into the news section and use the search function there. It has not been custom and practice in recent years to notify members of resignations and appointments, we usually do that at our AGM but your comments are noted and I'll bring it up at our next meeting.
  10. I'm not going to answer any more of your insinuations but have a look at the website. Go to search and input RST Board Members. Of course it is now out of date as we co-opted three new Board member last week.
  11. 10.30 a.m. IIRC. You don't think they put their own name to it do you? That would require them to grow a set. Funnily enough they all seem to get their information from a website that I'm not allowed to go on so who knows what they are saying. I have seen at least four people talk online about my 'drinking'. These are people that I have never met yet they think it's okay to spread ridiculous things like this without any thought given to who might see it - my boss, my staff, my family. I did have three glasses of wine when I was out the other week. Maybe that's what they mean.
  12. This is my final word on this Alan but if you say my comments are disingenuous and suggest that I deliberately withheld information from you then you are questioning my integrity. You also implied that there was something sinister because Mark nominated Alison. Ask yourself this. If there were 'financial irregularities' and 'mismanagement' as you suggest, why would the auditors risk their reputation by signing off the unqualified accounts? You talk about refusing to sign off the accounts because of the things that you listed but you were willing to sign them off if certain people resigned. Instead of playing the martyr just move on.
  13. I know that is your opinion but I take people as I find them as you have obviously done. He has done a lot of good work for the RST and, on a personal note, he was very kind to me when my mum was terminally ill. If someone has had personal interaction with him and doesn't like him, fine. However, the vast majority of people bad-mouthing him have never even met him.
  14. Thanks. It's very difficult when you are constantly attacked by fellow Bears and we usually ignore the lies and smears but sometimes it gets ridiculous.
  15. You know what - stick to RM and Twitter. Why the need for screen-shots? His post is still there 26 hours later. This is the guy who resigned days after events of a Board meeting were leaked to, let's say, non-members. It was discussed at the next meeting are we were told that the problem was now gone. We were told we were finished in 2008 and we're still going as new members are joining every day. You need to know that 'the whole support' is not your small group.
  16. Frankly Alan I'm sick of your holier than thou attitude. You fail to mention that you wrote the e-mail for the auditor and you don't mention your disgraceful attempt to blackmail people into resigning. Then you question my integrity and that of Alison. These events happened nearly six years ago and your involvement was over three and a half years ago. Get over it. I accept that there needed to be tighter financial controls but that has now been rectified. Let's move on.
  17. Perhaps but he was not on the Board when these things happened. Also, we had the auditor present at the AGM to answer any queries on this.
